Buhh when it comes to alcohol, based on encounters with seasoned professionals, there's no moderation and balance. Infact, there's no "safe way" of drinking alcohol. The best thing to do, is to steer clear off it, and shun it completely.

This is a call to awareness and an eye-opener that, apart from diabetes, insulin resistance also serves as a root cause and silent driver of heart disease, cancer, fatty liver, Alzheimer's disease, kidney disease, stroke, blindness, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc. So, it's up to individuals to use the op's story as a cautionary tale, and take heed.
