databoy247: I dont think there is anything wrong with building your own platform. Competition makes you grow stronger as you keep seeking out ways to out-perform your competition. Its a new concept in Nigeria and lets give them time to grow. Same stories came up with webhosting businesses in Nigeria back then but i think now most of them have gotten it right.

The wise ones should be learning why their competition is failing and try to overcome such challenges should they every arise with them.

I read several stories on Nigeria e-payment gateway/platform, and i laugh because this folks haven't gotten the message yet.
Eyowo is not up to one you and is have challenges with it system, i knew when they made a post here promising heaven on earth.

Now we have Voguepay, and several others.

My question or suggestion is, if this companies come together to form a mega e-payment system, don't you think they will last longer and serve better.

My suggestion are:
The pastor image/congregation image shoul be present.
The slide show images are graining
The switching to Mobile Version doesn't make sense, because i think the website should detect device and switch user, but it will make sense to switch user from mobile to desktop.

mitey: The idea has some demerits, but its not so bad after all.

I checked the site, and I have these suggestions
1. The site loads slowly. That should be looked into.
2. If the purpose of the project is to encourage the learning of Igbo language, people who have no idea at all about it should be assisted. I would suggest that help links that display the English translation of text when you hover over them. Also the correct Igbo pronunciation should be available in similar links that play the audio when a user hovers over the link.
3. Why is it that the buttons 'Sign Up' and 'Create my account' have English values?

Summarily, it would be better for the site to not be tagged as a social network, that's not original. It could be a meeting place for Igbo people to keep up with one another, conduct business, etc. entirely in Igbo.
Nairaland is a kind of a social network, but is not branded as such. If this project were to succeed, it will be Nigeria's second truly Nigerian website that's strictly for Nigerians.

NB: For more originality, the developers may prefer to use non-English for their links like contact, signin, etc.

I will assume the website is still under development, because i still see somethin like "CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT" button.

I will suggest English version of the website for those who are born abroad and wants to feel at home.

For what i have experienced. google has a way of displaying emails which is quiet different from other email servers.
Just try to be simple and don't do anything complex so that google won't suspect your email message.

4) Reduce the size of the header image. You need to make as much content as possible above the fold. All those with a small resolution will see is a large image, not to mention that in your locale, people are paying dearly for bandwidth

Dual Core: The design style is ancient. It doesn't have a modern feel. It doesn't have to be busy for it to be modern... it can still be simple and modern. I think the color scheme is dull.
