It's obvious you reason from the hole behind your bum. If the useless mem who are the governors in your state and others were half as smart as Bola Tinubu or Fashola, there won't be such women as the example you gave trying to make ends meet in Lagos.
You should instead be grateful that Laos has at least provided an opportunity for all those who come to make something out of their lives. Left to the bastards that rules over your states, many people would have died by now

obataokenwa:
I pity those that praise sing Lagos State Govt with all this pictures. One need to go close and see that in the next ten years this project can never see fruition.
The rate of traffic around this areas towards Agbara can make one die untimely. U be in a car and see a woman with a baby at her back selling finger battery and one begin to wonder how she will eventually eat for that day.
Lagos under Tinubu is still slavery and please this sudden afternoon pictures should be ignored as those areas are death traps. By this time, people are trekking like Fulani herdsmen and their cows.

You are really low on IQ. You could have at least pretended to be smart, but no ego has mixed with your pathetic predicament.

You clearly know nothing about the need to empower people. Not everybody will get that state or federal job, in fact the civil service will eventually be downsized due to automation. But young people can be empowered through such programmes as this. It becones a platform for them to develop themselves while impacting their immediate enviornment. They in turn grow and become employers of Labour. The cycle grows larger and then it trickles down more and more.

The real backbone of any economy are the SME's and local entrepreneurs.
GEJ did well with YOUWIN, this is a better and more-encompassing program.

Lagos gave Jude an opportunity to become better and successful in life.

This clearly illustrate my opinion that Lagos made all of us.
It's sheer stupidity for some people to claim that they made Lagos what it is today.
Right from the late 19th century till now, Lagos has bee a bustling urban centre where everyone who came from the West, East, North and South had a great opportunity to become better and greater. It is only meet that the spend most of the money they had come to earn in the same Lagos.
Anyone claiming they made Lagos should return to their villages to go and do the same magic.

It's funny how you people are easily manipulated to swallow the deceit and machinations of wicked people.
If you understand the evil politics people play in this country, you will know that all these killings are most probably sponsored by enemies of the state as false flag. Fine, Buhari is faulty at not taking them on fiercely, but I can tell you it is the evil work of wicked people who want to bring down this government and nation all because of their selfish interest for power and money.
Can you ever imagine that Buhari will sanction the killing of anyone for power? Or even his own people in the Northeast and Zamfara?

Look beyond the evil narratives being spread out there

Kewtt:

You installed this ill-fated government of Buhari despite all warnings from reasonable individuals like me. And while the killings were going on unbridled you conveniently ran to the business section selling and buying not a word from you. .. no sympathy or support for the victims... Now that the time for elections is round the corner here you are to shamelessly gather money for your usual yeoman's job.

Modath I dare you to show a post of yours condemning herdsmen attacks.... In the last three years and a half.... Or any of your posts criticizing the ineptitude of the federal government of Nigeria!!

I am convinced you are an enemy of Nigeria whose only concern is feathering your nest at the expense of innocent lives lost and the gullible who believe you..

Modath's back. Yay! Now we can get more informed and intelligent submissions in the midst of all the endemic stupidity and ignorance that has become a trend on NL

modath:

75% of the people hailing this defection/defectors on the social media scene in Naija not only don't have voters cards, they are complete political ignoramuses who mistake collective hate and anger for strong political value.

They are also hypocrites of the supernatural kind, they talk from both sides of the mouth..

All the people that defected did either cos;

1. They can't or won't be able to secure a return ticket

2. They are at loggerheads with their respective state's CEO.

I've put this question to the hailers on many occasions but they stylishly dodge the question and hope the impending issues the primaries will generate one jinee will come & use magic to clear it...

The people that stayed behind in PDP nursing ambition and waiting for those seats, "What is their fate in PDP"?

Let's say it again clearly for the people at the back to hear loud & clear.....

PDP's problem has just STARTED..

Some of you here on NL are seriously sick need urgent attention. You reek of chronic inferiority complex. I'm sure you can't bear to look at yourself in the mirror- what you see breaks your heart.

The OP has shared this to bring the attention of the public to this case of shoddy job by a contractor so that it could also possibly get the attention of the state government. Rather than join to speak against the shoddy work and suggest solutions, you begin to point to other cases of flooding elsewhere.

It's pathetic that a lot of Nigerians are leaving for Canada and elsewhere. Until we all bond together to build this country for ourselves, it will be left crawling. The Canada they are running to was built by her citizens. We much build ours from scratch!

Ehiscotch:
This is an economy that must be built from the scratch, be self-sustainable, diverse (non dependent on crude oil), and highly productive. In as much as we love to hate this government but we must see what is happening in Nigeria's economy as "birth pangs". With all this drive especially in refining our own crude oil, improvement in the agricultural and manufacturing sector, it would only be a matter of time before we experience real progress in this country.

A lot more road construction has been done in this Buhari era than at any other time. It seem there's a better sense of belonging by most governors than at any other time.
Consider the number of flyovers that has been constructed by governors across different states and brand new roads too; and then the FG efforts at rehabilitating major highways in the SW, SE and other places; more railway projects...

We seem to be getting it right in terms of delivery of projects by administrators, albeit very slow.

Nigeria will be great again.

Our way of thinking in Nigeria needs to change. All these fanfare and ceremony we do when those in power execute projects makes them feel like they are Lords who do us favours with each project.

It is good that they do what they are elected to do. But we the masses ought to know our place. Rather than jubilation, we should even be scrutinizing projects for costs and quality, comparing them with what peers are doing

I dont know why Fayemi's name is being bandied around more tha n necessary over this vote-buying issue. Do you know that Fayose initially credited civil servants with N3k each; paid Bus drivers and okada riders N1,500 and N1, 000 respectively to park their vehicles so as to shut down Ado-Ekiti the day the President visited; and then the big box of cash that flew in from a South-South governor from which people got N4k each. Fayemi's party was only sharing N4,000 to N5,000 on election day.

If you are raising this issue, point to both parties and stop crying Fayemi alone

FortifiedCity:
The reason is very simple: buhari does not mean well for Nigerians and her diversity. You can argue all you want, that's the truth. Fayose was a kind of check on buhari and his demonic plans, always pointing out his wicked intentions.
Buhari is evil. Just imagine how they immediately deployed soldiers to Ekiti to kill anyone who questions the robbery that happened to Ekiti people.

These same soldiers are complicit in the daylight genocide being perpetrated in the middle belt, and you think they mean well for you? Think again. The old man Gowon didn't think it was fair blaming buhari for the extermination of people in his state. Maybe he has dementia.

Fayemi is buhari's stooge and must have made some promises to buhari to garner his support on the election. If buhari wins next year election, this country will weep. Then you will see the audacity with which buhari will be commanding the military and fulani militia to go and wipe out people and occupy their lands. Now he is denying and giving underground orders to them. But then he will make it visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

God help us.

It's up to you to carry out due research on any issue and topic before you jump on the bandwagon of victim mentality which easily demeans you as someone with a low self-awareness in spite of your education and exposure.

Dangote tried to acquire NigerCem around the same time he acquired BCC in Gboko. A lot of issues and protests greeted his bid and here we are today. Even I eto didn't have it smooth taking over NigerCem, but you guys are always quick to castigate others fpr what clearly is a fault of your people.
I won't post any link here, your search for correct info is also part of your learning process to become a sincere seeker of the truth.

Seek for the truth always and be objective when analysing issues.

cjrane:

Dangote has NEVER been a friend of the Igbos. Although Igbos are a huge part of his customer base. It has not stopped him from acting with the typical hatred of a Fulani man towards anything Igbo.

The hatred towards Igbo is worse when they see any type of progress in the East. They took ALL the federal projects, Federal jobs, Federal Civil service, and all economic enablers, like sea ports, yet they are not happy.

The worst is that they target innocent hard working people to try and kill their business simply because they are Igbo. See what DANGOTE did to IBETO and what GT bank is trying to do to INNOSON. They ban Igbo companies at the flimsiest excuses.

Yet, somebody like DANGOTE who will not build even a hurt in the entire SE is selling most of his cement to Igbos? Why can't Igbos buy other brands to protest the evil actions of these people against Igbo people? Why are we always distracted from doing what we must to boycott these people trying so hard to impoverish us?

I am hoping contractors and other home owners try to buy cement from other companies and NOT Dangote. If IBETO did what Dangote did, the Emirs will issue a Fatua that anyone selling his cement or products in northern Nigeria be attacked by the youths of the area.

We should start thinking seriously and sanction anyone that plots the destruction of Ndigbo NOT GIVING THEM CHIEFTAINCY TITLES !

No one makes decision especially sensitive issues as this on behalf of others. It's sad that we are all culpable in the decadence that is still on-going in the next generation.
The celebrities we praise and honour are the ones these young girls see as role models.

Is there anything worth emulating in the lifestyles of Toke Makinwa, Tiwa Savage, Angela Okorie, Roman goddess, whiz kid, Davido, Sophia Momodu, Oge Okoye and the likes for the upcoming young girls?

Yet these are the ones we all celebrate, all of us and the media. And when issues like these comes up, there's a lot of hue and cry while we forget that the very things we now give values to will also rub off on these young girls.

Not that these celebrities are evil. But we have all unconsciously set them as a standard to the young ones who get easily deceived to submit to anything that we also make them influential and approved.

Even small Cotonou beside us here is better organises. It's not about their government. It's simply about the attitude of the citizens to simple laws and respect for authority
