6 ii) mean say - you don work for outside Canada before, whether na UK, Naija, Saudi, or Dubai? If yes answer is the number of years, provided the work meets the conditions written (within 10 years, paid, NOC TEER etc).

Thanks again for your direction GraciousWords. I really do appreciate it.

To be honest, I cannot explain how I got the extension but I was granted it alongside others when my application was about 4 days to expiry, the information came by mail and I instantly saw the extra 60 days on my profile. The only thing I can say knowing what I know now is that it was definitely God's mercy because it is very likely that my application would have been thrown out if I had submitted within the initial 60 days. I had uploaded all my docs and was ready to submit but it seems some people had issues submitting so they renewed the time. I don't know what their criteria for renewal was but I was mercifully included.

Your advise on going back home before submitting has resolved my confusion and I will definitely be doing that. Thankfully my ticket date gives me enough time before submission deadline so I will submit once I get home and get a new PCC.

I really want a straightforward application so I will do whatever is necessary to achieve that. Thank you once again.

This is a better decision if you ask me. Meanwhile don't forget to update your travel history with this recent trip before submitting.

Goodluck

Thank you once again for replying me. I am not actually resident in the UK, I am only here on a visit visa. Will I still need to get PCC from here?

Depends on how long you stayed.

See what IRCC says:

You must include police certificates when you apply for permanent residence.

Our online system will ask for a police certificate for:

you and your family members who are 18 years or older
and
every country you (or a family member) stayed in during the last 10 years for 6 months or more in a row

Elixosodi:
greetings all,

I am currently a student in Canada although, I am about rounding off my course. I know its not time for me to apply for PR because I must have at least one year experience in my field of studies. however, i would like to familiarize myself with what it takes to get one ready for the process and this brings me to my questions.

I studied Advertising Media Management and i know my NOC code is 11202, I want to know if I cant assistant position in my Noc area, can i still use it for PR? i am asking because I have heard some people saying it must be a managerial or executive positions please clarify me fam.

Aside Wes evaluation and Celpip exams and Medicals ( can I use my previous medical result?) what other documents do I need? thank you as I await your response.

An assistant can apply. Just get a job first.
If you have a valid medical, you don't need to do a new one.
For other information, go to page 1 and start reading everything you need is there.

Hi. I just received passport request for my pr application. I keep getting conflicting information online about the VFS office that is fast that I should submit to. I need more credible information. Thanks in advance
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Gyyv: 4:06am On Dec 04, 2023
Applying from the UK is fine. Just make sure you submit proper documentation. You'll need PCC from the UK as well. Also make sure you submit a valid PCC (Be in the country to use any date before the PCC expires or use the one you collected after you left the country)

ZivaChicabelle:

Thank you so much! I will do a new one.

Please will applying from the UK have any adverse effect on my application? My family is back home in Nigeria and I have seriously been considering going back home to apply from there since my deadline got extended by 60 days.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Gyyv: 10:11pm On Dec 01, 2023
To be on the safer side, only apply using PCC obtained after you have left the country.

If you leave Dec 15th, get PCC from 16th.

ZivaChicabelle:
Please guys does foreign travel invalidate PCC issued before the person left Nigeria? I am only on a visit visa and my place of residence is still Nigeria. I got PCC in October and will submit application this December. Do I need to get a new one?

Can someone with Canada PR Visa Transit through the UK on their way to Canada? Please who knows for sure.

I checked from the UK's immigration website and it seems the answer is Yes. But I want a secondary confirmation of Yes/No from someone with more experience.

Thank you in advance

Yes yes. They sent notification a week after it was delivered at the vfs, everything else was fast after that. Got Passport back a week after getting the notification

Do you have the final decision date on your gc key account. You don’t need to worry at all.. it will surely come when due..

I never got the final decision date on my GCKey, many things were still pending. But all complete on the tracker. within 1 week, I got COPR info showing in the tracker, and a few hours later, got the email. Still, my GCKey didn't get any update.

I think he should check his spam folder for the email, and then call IRCC if he doesn't see it.

Did you eventually get the notifications and have you gotten your passport back? In a similar situation...

It's been over a week since my tracker was updated with COPR number and all four areas (Biometrics, Medicals, Eligibility and Background check) have been completed but no PPR yet. Is this normal?

Check your spam/junk folder for an email with subject Ready For Visa (Pret Pour Visa)

You can also login on your GCKey to see if you have a message there.

Thanks so much for this please send me your plug for courier

braine:

To send your passport to Kenya, here are the steps I followed.

1. Passport request letter
2. 2x Photo Passport
3. International passport
4. CVAC form
5. Receipt of transmission fee payment.
6. DHL Return label
7. Eye and height chart
8.(optional) two photocopies of passport data page with email address and phone number.

You need the 7 documents above

Step 1: print out PPR letter, consent form (CVAC) and eye & height chart.

Step 2: make a passport according to the specifications (it’s on your PPR letter, also try to look fresh, I heard that picture will be used everywhere for a long time)

Step 3: Pay and get Kenya VFS transmission receipt. (It costs 32k now, but dollar rate might say otherwise). You can reach out for the contact i used, as I cannot just put the contact here.

Step 4: Have a DHL 'to and return' waybill documents (it costs 78k normally, it might cost more currently). You can reach out for the contact i used as well.

Step 5: put all documents asides the DHL Lagos-Nairobi waybill inside an envelope

Step 6: go submit the documents at any official DHL office close to you. ( they’ll ask for the DHL waybill document (Lagos-Kenya)

Step 7: buy coke and 3 puff puff, you deserve to spoil yourself.

Congratulations. Did you use DHL to send and collect your passport from Kenya

Or did you send with DHL to Kenya and paid VSF to send it back to you?

If you used DHL for "to & return" please share your DHL plug with me.

October 2022 - Hubby's IELTS. CLB 7.

We entered the pool with a CRS score of 450 (age was not really on our side).

TCF - October 2022. CLB 9.

CRS score now 518.

November 24 2022 - ITA.
December 5 2022 - Upfront Medicals at Qlife.

Hubby has a history of Tuberculosis (he had it about 10 years ago). So he was recalled for a three days sputum test.

December 12, 13, & 14 2022 - Hubby's sputum test.
January 8 2023 - Submission and AOR.
January 18 2023 - Biometrics request letter.
January 30 2023 - Biometrics completed.

Test results for Tuberculosis came out about 9 weeks after sputum specimen was collected. All clear. Hubby was told to do another X-ray on March 6 2023 (three months after the first X-ray of December 5 2022).

March 13 2023 - Medicals passed

Congratulations!.

Please was your Hubby's second x-ray better than the first one? My wife's post-sputum x-ray looks a lot better than her first one. I read some people were asked to do a 3rd x-ray because of this.

Just got an ADR saying “ Funds, proof: It appears you no longer meet the required funds due to the drop in value of the
Nigerian Naira. A family of 2 is currently required to demonstrate CAD$17,127 in available funds, unencumbered by debt or obligation. Please demonstrate proof you have this amount available to you.”

And I’ve been slacking in putting the funds together. Will it be advisable to convert all our ₦ and put in my dorm account at this point?

You can change your funds to USD. Just write LOE and show your withdrawal from your Naira account.

Did you attach the conversion screenshot from oanda with your POF document?

Does this apply with Cowrywise as well?

Piggyvest has a micro finance bank gold license. I don't know of Cowrywise. Contact their support and ask if they can be used to show proof of funds. Can they provide statements of account and reference letters? Do they have a banking license?

Those are questions you would want answers to.

Yes you can use PiggyVest.

Can you please let me know how you applied through IE window?

Talk to your Dorm bank account officer. For now, they are the only ones allowed to operate on the platform.

Basically, you will keep naira in the naira account your dorm is linked to (Primary account). Then submit a letter authorizing the bank to purchase dollars for you on the IE Window. You'll state how much dollars you want and the rate. The Banker will input it for you on the platform. If there is a willing seller at that rate for that day, your trade will go through. Otherwise, you'll send another letter the next day. I used WhatsApp to send the letter daily.

Couldn't get it. So I switched to Aboki. Feel free to try your luck. I didn't want to keep waiting and jeopardize my application on top small money.

I have already. After I have bought it how can I withdraw it to my dorm account

Click withdraw to bank and enter your dorm details. Takes 48 hours. You can also only withdraw 10k per time.

And only buy $5k every 10 hours.

If I bought on Piggyvest I would use them for POF and transfer to my dorm when I want to travel.

I bought just 5k there, and had to withdraw to my dorm.

Edit: There is a $20 transfer fee for each transfer to Nigerian Dorm. That's cheaper than most NG banks.

This is actually the best way to show proof of funds .it’s easier cause they can easily verify it on the bank’s platform

However, if the information is yours , please try to edit your name and other details . It’s a public forum after all.

Thanks for the feedback. The image isn't mine, I got it from the public domain.

Please how did you move your entire POF from NGN to USD? I'm thinking doing same.

Did you buy using Aboki?

I tried IE Window for 2 days (Didn't work).

Yes, I bought from Aboki (Mistake.) I should have bought from Piggyvest Dollar flex ( it was 12 naira cheaper than aboki).

Has anyone successfully used MyBankStatement to show PoF?

I recently had to move my PoF and convert it to USD. Lodged it in my Zenith Dorm and I want to update IRCC today.

I already got the normal Reference letter from Zenith yesterday and I'm thinking of generating MyBankStatement with my mobile app now.

Who knows if this is acceptable?

100% agree with Mcstan.

positive - if you are already post AOR (when FX rates moved), I think you are safe......and if the VO has concerns they should send an ADR. To be super prudent, post AOR folks may decide to prepare a supplementary gift deed just in case they get an ADR for POF.

negative - rates will likely move higher in the next few days, weeks. Obviously, people who have not applied yet need to take the higher FX rate into account.

My advice is to always convert to USD/CAD whether the money is your life savings or a gift .....or otherwise:
