She was freed two weeks after by the joint effort of security agencies; no amount was disclosed as payment for ransom.

4. Professor James Adiche

Business / Seven Ways To Boost Your Bank Account by hackactigist: 8:36am On Aug 29, 2016
With the right knowledge and attitude, you can make your bank account grow faster.

“If you have trouble putting money aside in a savings account, maybe the solution is to stop struggling and put things on autopilot,” says a Money Talks News financial expert, Stacy Johnson.

An online report by http://www.moneytalksnews.com gives seven tips on how to grow your bank account.

Pay yourself first: Payroll deduction is among the best fixes for struggling savers. With this approach, you have money automatically taken from your pay cheque and transferred to a savings or retirement account. Your employer may even allow you to directly deposit pay cheques into multiple accounts.

Send any additional income from raises, bonuses, cash awards or other windfalls straight to savings. If your air conditioner breaks down or it’s time to take that cruise, you’ll have a nice sum of money waiting for you in the bank.

Round up your savings: Some banks have programmes that automatically round up debit-card purchases, and then transfer the extra amount into your savings account.

You get a treat now and “keep the change” to save toward another treat later.

Save your change: The low-tech version of the round-up programme is stashing away spare change at the end of each day. Keep it in a jar, mug, glass or piggy bank. When the container is full, turn that change into a bank deposit. Stacy says he turbo-charges this plan by stashing singles as well as coins.

Pay with cash: Using cash automatically makes you spend less compared to plastic. An oft-quoted Dunn & Bradstreet study says people spend 12 to 18 per cent more when using credit cards instead of cash.

If you’re worried about schlepping back to the ATM to reload your wallet, you will be less tempted to spend more cash than you planned. You will be more inclined to pass on a higher-end model of a product. Also, you will stick to your shopping list and resist in-store temptations to buy more items than you intended.

Use rewards credit cards: If you must use a credit card, use one that offers cash back or rewards. Then, you’re earning cash or equivalents without effort.

Bank your discounts: What do you do with all the money you save buying bargains? Check your receipts. Most now conveniently tell you how much you saved on a sale item compared with its regular price, or how much you saved by redeeming coupons.

Add them up. Did you buy a cheaper generic and save a bundle over a name brand? Track the difference.

Make it a habit to reward yourself by placing all the money saved from those bargains into your savings account.

Automate your transfers: Check with your bank or credit union about how to set up automatic transfers from your current account to your savings account. This is another way of making sure you pay yourself first. You can even set up sub-accounts and label them for special goals, such as “college fund” or “new car fund.”

Now that your savings are on automatic, relax and watch your balance grow.

Pets / Re: Man Who Names Dog Buhari Is Guilty!!- Deputy Speaker, SU by hackactigist: 9:23am On Aug 26, 2016
1. The defendant boldly printed on the Body of the dog, the name "Buhari' (where has the name of a dog been written on the dog before)?
2. That the defendant paraded the same dog with name boldly printed, in the Hausa Section of the market. (He did not just leave the dog in his shop but wants it to be seen not just in the market but in the Hausa section)
3. That a certain popular Alhaji Buhari is a trader in this Hausa section of the market.[s][/s]
now let me digest each paragraph stated above.
1. even human being has a name tag, police has a name tag! my dog goes with a name tag for easy identification to avoid hostility to strangers (because if u call a dog by its name, it might want to be friendly).
2. Nigeria has to be civilized and respect the section of our constitution which promotes freedom of speech and movement no matter your ethnic or religious inclination.
3. that so called Alhaji must be a bully if he believes that his popularity makes him above the law.

meanwhile, the alhaji is an alien to this country without passport nor visa.
it's about time Nigeria Immigration will be sanctioned!!!!

Pets / Is Naming A Dog 'buhari' A Crime? by hackactigist: 1:35pm On Aug 24, 2016
The incoming Second National Vice President of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Mr. Monday Ubani, yesterday, said that no offence is committed by someone naming his dog after somebody else. He said: “In the eye of the law, it is not criminal for somebody to name his or her dog after another person. It may be offensive by examining the circumstances under which the incident happened. “I understand that a particular dog was named after a neighbour and both of them were not in good terms; in a Hausa community somewhere in the South-West. “So expediency would have prevailed on him not to name his dog after somebody he was quarrelling with. “The Bible says wisdom profited for direction. Anything you are doing must be with wisdom. If such a thing would provoke unnecessary argument, you should avoid it.” Another Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Tunji Muyedeen, said: “As far as I am concerned, there is no way such offence could be sustained in law. Anybody can name his pet after anybody’s name. “He can even call the pet his name. However, spurious charge or charges may be preferred against such person. “All of us will be living witnesses to the trial of the man. We will see what evidence the prosecution has to prosecute the accused person.” For human rights activist, Mr. Okey Nwaguna, prosecution must show that accused had the intent to cause breach of public peace. He said: “The motive of an accused is never and can never be established by the charge: it must be established by evidence. “Prosecution must show that accused had the intent to cause a breach of public peace. What constitutes ‘public’ is key.”

sense in it but i think this is the major reason immunity should be scrapped asap! i believe in justice for all!!!!
skitcentral:
It is only when a case of gross misconduct can clearly be proven against a sitting president can be be impeached.

Despite what you think, no sitting president has ever been guilty of gross misconduct. The last time a democratically elected leader was ever guilty of such was the days of Tafawa Balewa and we know how that went.

Unless death comes, Buhari will serve out his term as democratically elected president of Nigeria.
