cerezo: There's absolutely nothing wrong in attaching a fixed deposit in your application. Infact, I always do this with my mutual fund account. And the idea of people thinking you must have alot in your salary account is not ideal. Nobody does that and visa folks are quite aware of this. One glaring mistake is you claiming to have £6000 plus for this trip when in actual sense what you have is your N1.3m. There might be other issues like the build-up of the N1.3m which is very very key.
Now, this is what I do very often. I don't keep any fund in my bank account. But anytime i have to apply for visa, i do a part liquidation of my mutual funds to show enough funds for the trip. I also ensure i get a letter from the firm stating that the funds are readily available whenever i need it within 24hrs. Stanbic Asset will give you such letter plus the stmt of account. Lastly, I'll attach a letter of explanation detailing the rationale behind these actions. I have NEVER kept an amount double the figures i intend to spend on a particular trip in my salary account.
You really need to check how you raised these funds. They like seeing regular monthly income and they know Nigerians invest in money market instruments alot. Nothing totally wrong in your fixed deposit, your application probably was not well put together. You definitely need to learn more from the gurus here. There is no question on how the funds were raised, the trails are there. With what I have read here, the problem was inadequate information about my financials. I didn't write cover letter to explain my investments. |
Romance › Re: She Is Pregnant With Twins But I Honestly Don't Want To Marry Her. by Hacuttie: 8:11am On Jul 07, 2019 |
Please break all odds in your mind and marry that girl. Not because you have impregnated her, with your explanation, she is a good girl and someone who loves you wholeheartedly. You see all those excuses you are given are youthful illusions, you will regret not marrying her in the next 10 years. This is not a curse young man.
I have seen so many of this scenario in my life journey. All you need to do is to love her and you will see how other things will fall in place. |

tolani4real: I don't think evidence of the fixed deposit or not will change the outcome. Your Fixed deposit is part of your financial asset. They don't see it as available to you now, it is not a liquid assets like cash in hand and cash you have in your bank. You only have N1.3 million available but planning to spend over 800k. To me I don't think you package it well. This is just my opinion. Spending over half of your available cash on a vacation trip....... No one will believe this You are right considering extract of the refusal mail pasted below. " note that in support of this you have provided a bank statement in your name (account ending xxxxx) showing a closing balance of 1,370,146.50NGN (£2,925.00). However, you have stated you have £6,338.00 available to you in the form of savings. There is no evidence of these extra savings in your supporting documents. Given that you have also stated that you wish to spend £1,800.00 for the duration and this is the majority of your life savings I cannot be satisfied that your expenditure is consummate for your visit to the UK. Therefore I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit." |

The decision mail finally arrived yesterday after 70 days, unfortunately the visa was refused. The reason given for refusal was inadequate fund despite having N1.37m in salary account and 3m in fixed deposits with intention to spend £1800 on the trip
They claimed evidence of fixed deposit was not included which was not true. Copy of certificate of investment from a reputable bank was part of the documents scanned by TLS.
May be the application could have been better packaged if I had known this forum before submission
We intend applying again by November or December I hope it won't be too early. |

The idea of false allegations and blackmail on social media is becoming too rampant in Nigeria, unfortunately the society don't see anything wrong with it. People's reputations are being damaged everday resulting to emotional trauma and depression.
If the man is sure of what he published on social media he should honour the school invitations and defend himself. |

It's understandable for any reasonable person to reject fulani settlement in his territory owing to their destructive antecedents and little or no respect for human lives. However, total rejection of RUGA would mean the present method of unlawful, unrestricted grazing will continue and fight between hearders and farmers will persist.
The leaders in the south should study the arrangements and modify it in such a way that it would ensue peace and hearders will be restricted to an area. This to me is better than total rejection. There should be stringent law backing up the settlement.
Rejecting ourselves can never leads to peaceful co-existence and we need peace to develop our country. |

Trump may be controversial on many of his policies in USA, his efforts to make peace with North Korea and ensure lasting solution to age long war between the two Korean nations is highly commendable. If such wisdom had been adopted by his predecessor, Libya would not be in turmoil as it is today. War never brings permanent solution, peaceful resolution does. |

Celebrities › Re: Elsie Okpocha Asks Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo Questions Over Busola Rape Allegation by Hacuttie: 9:53am On Jun 29, 2019 |
hadaptor: Another Victim of pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo claimed she has documentary evidence I was introduced to the church in Abuja by my childhood friend, who moved to Abuja from Calabar two years before I did. When I joined, she was also a PCU worker. I really felt welcome in the church up until my friend started having problems with other women. She told me it was because Pastor Biodun trusted her with so many official things even above workers that were there before her. I believed her until the day she had an misunderstanding with another worker who called her 'Ashewo Mary Magdalene' in the church. After that, her enthusiasm for church started waning while mine was getting stronger till the day she told me she was leaving the church and shortly after she left. By that time, Pastor Biodun had developed an interest in counseling me and then started telling me to take my friends place as a PCU worker. I was reluctant because I didnt feel like coming to church early and leaving late but Pastor Zbiodun assured me that his personal driver will pick me and drop me off and so I agreed. I started work as arranged but after a while, I noticed that the pastor did not respect personal space when talking to me when we were alone. He would stand soooooo close and rub my upper arms or my back which made me very uncomfortable. The final straw was when he said I should go with him to Lagos to take notes and transfer same online immediately for some Pentecostal thing he was attending and he knew I was very computer literate. I was excited till we reached Lagos and I realized that only one room was booked at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi. Of course I complaint and the Pastor called the front desk ( or pretended to) to demand for another room. He said they would call back when the room was ready. He then told me to help massage his back becos he has back ache from sitting on the flight. I said I was tired since it was already after 8. He then insisted I lay down on the bed to rest while waiting. I said I preferred to sit at the desk and he laughed saying that I was acting like a small girl or a village uneducated girl. He then went in to take a shower. I then called the front desk to remind then about the extra room. I wasn't surprised when I was told that they had vacant rooms and that nobody had requested for an extra room. By this time, I knew what was up and was ready for the fool. I opened his pouch and saw his wallet which had his lisence. Took a picture of the wallet and the Lisence on the pillow on the bed with my head in the shot. I opened the door and took several pictures of myself, the wallet and the Lisence with the room number. Came back in, once I heard the shower stop, I started audio recording on my BB. He came out with a towel around his waist and started telling me how attracted he was to me. He said many deregatory things about his wife, calling her a postcard...pretty on the outside but flat and empty upstairs. He said sex with her was like having sex with a cold dead fish...he tried to kiss me and I stood up, picked up my travelling bag, moved to the door, opened it and quickly took a picture of him, standing with a towel around him. He started begging. I called him all sorts of names and insisted he give me money for a separate room or I would scream 'rape'. To cut a long story short, he asked me to shut the door, I refused, he brought out 2 bundles of N1000 and asked me to delete before he gives me the money. I told him he was in no position to negotiate. Got the money, left the Randy goat with a deflated erection and checked into another room. First thing the next morning, I left for ABJ. By the way, remember my childhood friend that introduced me toCOZA? I narrated my experience to her and she confessed that she was sleeping with Biodun for over a year, even on his marital bed when his wife travelled. Oga Pastor, try and deny my story publicly and see American wonder....I still have the pictures and our conversation on tape. Thank God for technology!!!!!! Written by Franca E. Culled from La Isla Bonita #Osaremen #OsaremenGist Beginning of the end for the conman called Pastor. Umu Nwayi, any man that can consistently and continually control his urge for women is almost 95% free from downfall. The Randy man should resign as Pastor and surrender himself for prosecution. The chances of being mistake is very minimal, there is possibility one of the Cashiers in the branch is pilfering cash and may not be the one that paid your mum. The woman should to take the wrappers of affected bundles back to the branch, she may not get refund but can help the bank to catch the thief among the staff. |

If this is done to reduce the service charge and increase income to the Government coffers, fine. However, if it's done to get back at the opposition without having a standard company that can handle NPA collections, the outcome would be a regret.
Without holding brief for any company or political party, I doubt if there is any maritime service provider in Nigeria that can match intels in all ramications. |

Female footballers salaries are very small especially home based players. Bonus from national assignments means a lot to them and should not be delayed by NFF. I support their protest, they deserve to live good.
By the way, their goal keeper is exceptionally good at 18, I pray she gets a good club abroad. |
