The fact that a pilgrim dies should not warrant all exothermic reactions here- any one who understands alittle medicine(dont have to be a medic like us) will undertsand that exhaustions can result to death, the same way some one could collapse and die, either in a queue, or dping some chores. I think the muslims here should not get defensive, going for a holy pilgrimage does not gurantee you will not die there either mecca, jerusalem etc, and the intension of the trend by the starter is to poke. Dont be drawn into aurguments please. The essence of stonning at that venue is to reminisce the period when satan came to meet Ibrahim, his son and his wife, the particular points where he met with them transformed as human is where the stone are thrown as the 3 of them did three stones at him. There are many problems in Nigeria, hunger, poverty etc. the least thing any one should be intrested in should be religious debate. She dies while throwing the stone so what, other people died having sex not even with their spouse. may God forgive her sins and reward her with Aljanah Iwant to appeal to Davidlyan and others, we can all not be the same race or religion, my observation is you hate muslims so much, why/ maybe if you explain we could understand. God created all of us, and no one has been given certifcate to paradise yet, how are u sure u are write, every one just read the holy books |
Once again the IdKabir is close by, rams are being bought, and the frenzy of ram fight has started in Lagos. Coming from work yesterday i saw an excited crowd and finally out they were watching a ram fight-'undertaker'vs Goliath' (lol). Lots of bettings entering into hundreds of thousands by some big boys. For those who are out of Nigeria, have u seen a ram fight before, those in do u consider it silly. i thot it was only in Nigeria, but my pictures show otherwise Religious wise it has been condemned. My take, its rubbish!

I wonder why people always refuse to address only the issues: He was not suppose to preach inside the plane, nobody is saying he should not preach. I am a muslim and when i use to join public transport, there are always preachers. There are some days I am happy they are sharing the words of God even though i do not agree totally with the doctrines, but sometimes i am so tired, especially returning home in the crazy traffic that i feel like venting all my angers on them. If i were a christian i would have asked them to shut up especially when they start trying to force every one to sing or collect money, but i guess they will think i hate christianity. On my street alone, i have 4 churches, cant they just merge, there is noise left right and centre on sundays when am trying to prolong my well needed sleep. They try to shout themselves down, buying all sorts of heavy noisy making instruments. there is this particular one that screams like he was deranged, shouting FIRE FIRE. then when it is time to collect money he tells them will enter hell fire if they dont, only thatman does 4 services on sunday- cool money. We also have mosque and maybe am biased, but they dont make as much noise, just 2-3 minutes every 2-4 hours. Not bad. most important thing i think is dont disturb others with your beleive, who tellsyou you are right or the ogun worshipper is wrong |
The Pregnant Husband (Final Testament) The last 6 months of this year had been draining, both emotionally, financially and definitely physically especially the last 2 months of my wife’s pregnancy. Those who have been following this write up will be quick to guess that the physical exhaustion angle of the pregnancy has to do with doing more than half of the house chores, including sweeping the house every morning before going to the office – ‘my wife said the doctor said not to bend anymore’, so am left with no options. Well I can breathe with relief now because : ladies and gentle men, boys and girls my madam just delivered a ‘ bouncing baby girl’ Well, I am giddy with excitement and embarrassingly happy like I wrote on my face book page, more importantly my mind is now rested, safely, madam has put to bed. Most men will tell you that when their wife is pregnant all sort of things go through their mind, and the prayer is intense, especially for societal reactions. God forbids your wife loses her life while delivering or she lost the baby, ‘a lose-lose situation’ either of those is, and this is not talking about the questions her family will raise. Did he use her for ritual? Did he send her to the best hospital? They can even sue you to court, asking that you be hanged! This especially happens when the couple comes from different ethnic background like my own case. So people, join me in praising God. I smile more often now in the office, that I was told by colleagues and I was told I look younger, happiness is a tonic that sweetens a man’s faces my friend. I am crazily happy because of the scare my once big tummy wife gave me just three weeks back- I was shook like water lily and sweated like a cold bottle of drink. We went to visit my parents at her insistent on a Sunday, then what started like a joke about her waist line ended us up at the hospital. First she smiled saying she would not be able to climb out of the car, then she started whimpering and giving out this pain sound that sends my heart shuddering. She held her tommy tightly and went down on her knees. Okay, I can forget the embarrassment of a few spectators who were watching and murmuring millions of un-solicited ‘sorrys’ but I can forget the look of pain on her face, I almost promised I wont get her pregnant again. We were there right in front of my parent’s house and we couldn’t go in, they had to come out, and then we sped to the hospital, I drove like I had never done all my life. When we got to the hospital, I was so worked up that I screamed at the doctor because I felt he was kind of dragging his feet. Well the funny thing was madam refused to born, and I stayed at the hospital with her till Monday morning- it was a wild goose chase. I wanted to be angry with her because at that point the only thing ticking on my head was ‘SHE GAVE FALSE ALARM’ I was so drained. To say that at work I snap at practically everything would be an understatement, I was so edgy. Actually the doctor said, they will watch till day break, okay she didn’t deliver so they ‘up it ‘ before night of Monday- so I just pace up and down the office waiting for the call- MR. KESHINRO YOUR WIFE JUST DELIEVERD . At a point I just sat behind my desk and put my head on it, she did not deliver for another week! When my wife said she wanted her mother to come and stay with us for the time being, my suspicion antenna reared up, is there something wrong with her she is hiding? Since the last time she said the doctor told her that the cord is too low (whatever that means) and that it is a dangerous situation and she saw the look on my face, I knew she would not be telling me things like ‘dangerous’ again. Mama came to stay with us, then her leg started getting swollen, we were asked to take strolls every day and that got to me, is there something wrong. Any time I wake in the middle of the night, madam is awake, either in pain or just looking forlorn, SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG THEY ARE NOT TELLING ME. So Sunday night again when madam said ‘honey I think am in labour’ I warned her that I was not ready for another wild goose chase, I even said ’you better born today’ funny as it may sound. Once again we set for the hospital with all the oh! Yea!, and guess what they said again we should wait. I was ready to crack! But madam helped me out, at exactly 3.20 am on Tuesday while I pace the hospital hall, she gave me my baby girl, who immediately started on a siren kind of crying with vexation. I was so happy and I couldn’t control myself, I hugged all the nurses who kept looking at me like something else was wrong. I was told my madam was so brave inside the labour room, and that my baby came squinting at the light first, then screamed at the doctors and nurses for looking at her and not jumping into the action of cutting the cord and cleaning her ASAP with her siren shrieking cry. I tasted one of the happiest day of a man’s life. So right now the naming ceremony is the thing for me, and am I preparing. I yet to come up with a name though, suggestions? Something grandiose! Already my baby is sucking with rage, and during the night she would wake us up every 30 minutes. Am actually thinking of re locating to another room- just joking! I love the way my baby looks at me…like ‘young man are you my father?’ Her few seconds concentration of watching my face thrills and warms my heart, then she slowly closes her eyes and sleep. So ladies and gentleman, boys and girls I am inviting you to my little princess naming. Of course its Ramadan, but rice and stew will be plenty after 7 pm when we break the fast. So for the men whose wives are still pregnant, I say persevere, and by his grace you will write a testament of un- alloyed happiness. |
Most football loving Nigerinas would have loved to go to South Africa in 2010 to see a match or two at the world, but they dont even know how to go about it. So when you grow old what are you going to be teling your grand children, you didnt play at the world cup and u didnt watch live? you can only mention amazing players of your time they cant even identify with, in their mind it would be 'rand pa, could you keep quiet for aminute and lets enjoy the commentary, but if you had watch LIVE, they want to hear the blowby blow details. This is Africas world cup, we might not get the next 50 years Well along with my friends i feel nairalanders who would love to go watch, we should share this package with them, is left to you,

These days people give newly married people all sort of things, many of which they can not use. What of if the same couple are given a honeymoon package to go away for a week a more in a nice environment. I came across the below and wish to share, is it the best weeding gift?

The Pregnant Husbands by Keshinro Hafees There is this popular saying amongst the Yoruba speaking people of Western Nigeria: 'A man whose wife is pregnant is also a pregnant husband'. I have never given this saying a second thought until recently. Right now, I am one of the pregnant husbands, and my pregnancy is big, time consuming and expensive! Often time madam groans in the middle of the night and I have to wake up and rob her belly, saying the right soothing words, I hate it when I see her pain, these nights are at least 3 times a week. Sometimes I just wake up to check on my sleeping beauty, my once slim beautiful wife, with amazing curve is now this ballooned Barbie doll in my bed. Many a time she wakes up holding on to me tightly, crying out my name and I see fear in her eyes, these are the moments that touch me, and I have a feeling I cannot readily express - I guess it fear too! Any day, I would say my wife is a beautiful woman (I was the smart Alec who got her eventually), very fashionable and sways in a catwalk (one of the things that got me hook in the first place), but all of that seemed to have faded into the background, as she now only seems to care about the little guy kicking and rolling inside of her. I am seemed to be second best already; I won’t complain. Once we were getting ready for an outing and I saw that she was not wearing her usual rouges and lip sticks. When I asked her why, her reply sounded like 'can't you see my challenges now’. Now she seems to get angry easily and poor me has to tip toe around her grouchy temper, she seems to also have developed this well sharpen tongue now. I have learnt to be more patient and not look beyond her big tummy. Right now I ‘triple’ as part time laundry man, cook, and general house keeper (not that I am really complaining). If my wife touches the laundry, then I should be ready to rinse them and put them for drying on the wires, the biggest assignment of all is I have to sweep the house myself every day, even when she points at the dirt in the rug because 'the doctor advised ‘madam’ not to bend any more'- I understand! I share the cooking now because madam has recently started going on a series of 'am tired' moods. She loves to sit on the couch cradling her ballooned tummy, stretching her leg on the stool and telling me in one of those voices dripping with honey-' Darling could you get me a bottle of coke from the fridge'. Once in a while when I say no! I mean practically frustrated with the turn of events, and she simply tells me I put her in that condition… and that my friend is said with lots of attitude- its takes two to tango for heaven sake! ’The doctor said I should take things easy and should stop sex for now'! The 'big tummy' -that’s what I call her behind her back- is a full time job for me now (I pray she's not reading this) and that made me complain a lot until I started going with her to the maternity workshop now and then. All of them, sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart, swollen, tired looking, and seeming like they will deliver tomorrow, for almost everything they need help. 'Sir could you pass me this, could you do that'. The worst part as I learnt later is they are all too happy to go home and tell their hubby that 'the doctor said I should take things easy and should stop sex for now'! Now this was the topic between me and some of the other 'boys' on Saturday. While understanding that the sex should not be so strenuous or not too raunchy as the 'boys' like to put it, they cannot understand the part about no sex at all. For me it sounds strange that for the next six to eight months I would not be having sex, 'big tummy' said I should start learning to go celibate for the next 8 months, that’s before and after delivery. Most of the time, the women get away with complaints of pain every where and the man looks at himself and laugh- he's between being a loving and trustworthy husband and being virile man with that kind of need. Infidelity stinks, but will many cold showers solve the problem? My father in law came to visit us some two weeks back and I caught him looking at his daughter critically and eyeing me too, I wondered what was going on in his mind- I did his daughter in badly. The same day my wife woke me up in the middle of the night, I had actually worked on a presentation till 1 am and she woke me up thirty minutes later. She wanted me to feel her breast; she thinks there are lumps growing, especially because her breasts are hurting her. I checked (good one, it has been a while since she let me!) and promises to go with her to the hospital the next day, but she would not let me sleep. It could be cancer, it could be malaria, it could be, she listed a million and one reasons why she should have pains on her breast except that the breast is getting bigger and preparing for feeding a baby. When I asked in-directly if I could sleep for an hour so I can look good for my presentation the next day, she felt I was in considerate, selfish and all the rest of those things pregnant women say to their husband. I don’t really feel like talking about keeping my head straight when I am driving in her company, she thinks I now look at the pretty young girl a lot now. Even though I have told her many times and she does not believe me, she is still one of the ‘hottest’ women of our time. Thumbs up to all the pregnant husbands At the initial stage, we had decided on a budget for the pregnancy, but it keeps over shooting, even with a ceiling I considered generous. The number of scans we wanted to do increase because she wanted to be sure it’s a boy, the baby’s position is okay, and that the baby is fine amongst others. Now this is not to mention what madam eats, her taste buds seem to have suddenly gone haywire, and boy does she eat a lot- the economy melt down is none of her business. She once told me 'the baby wants to eat barbeque' and I laughed my head off. She however explained that what she feels like eating is what the baby wants- search me! Now if you are one of the pregnant husbands anywhere in the world, I give you the thumbs up. Besides the waking up in the middle of the night and the demand that you have to be home at a certain time irrespective of your job description/specification, to show you are a responsible husband, you need to register at www.baby.com and read numerous other books and pass the information to her, because if she's happy and healthy, then the same goes for you. Preparing for fatherhood is a huge task but I love it. I love to listen to my baby’s gentle breathing and sometimes he heaves and I hear, we seemed to be bonding already- I think the little guy knows the touch of my hands now when I am robbing the tummy, he simply relax and allow mummy some quiet time. Sometimes I have a good laugh with my wife over her big tummy but most of the times she scares the day lights out of me. Any moment now she will call me and give me instructions on what to buy when I am coming home- I love her so much but she has changed … but I love her more. For everyone who still has a mother , cherish her, and for all those who still have father , congratulate him and ask how he coped with the challenges of being a pregnant husband. For me I can’t wait for the day she will deliver the little one and I can have my wife back.

Well i was in a worse situation, i am a Muslim and Yoruba, she's Ibo and christian/catholic they said no at first, but then i went to her father begged him to give me just five minutes to talk to him. i started with the fact that a whole lots of young men just wanted to sleep with the girls and run, but i am here to marry your daughter. I said i love her and i promised with my life i will treat his daughter well and protect her and that i will not allow my family to treat her badly cus she's not one of us(their perception). he said no but i have sown a seed, i worked on the mother bought wrapper(ofcourse she can afford them) and generally call her like she's my girlfriend asking about this and that and everyone then asking to talk to daddy on the phone if he was in in the sitting room. I got the aunties that i know my wife know we be the trouble shooter and worked on them, visits and invitations to my own family things. With God's support they said yes. But for religion when they ask if i would convert i didnt lie AND I WAS NICE ABOUT IT, i said i am a man and i wont but i wont prevent their daughter from her religion, but she's a muslim now no problems two children. Just pray to God and take it as an assignment and be patient. NEVER FORGET THAT ALL WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS TO PROTECT YOU, AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THEY THINK |
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, i am enjoining the beautiful pictures of Abuja and right now i feel very proud to be a Nigerian. Maybe if our thieving leaders build infrastructures like this in all the states and the Ajegunle's are reduced and people are employed with food abundance, we might not even notice our monies are been looted in billions. God bless Abuja, God bless Nigeria.

@poster The title of your post is malignant, Re: Truth From Strange Quarters. Is This A Sign Of Good Omen?what is so strange about an imam saying the truth, if it were a pastor would it be strange, abeg reason before you post. My contribution is just to caution, since you are also preaching tolerance. People just assume that in religious crises Muslims must be blamed and christians are saints, it takes two to tangle, pls. |
@eagleu As the 3rd wife, does Aisha have to join the other senior wives is a nightly islamic f--cking orgy, or does she wait for her turn?Don't you think the islamic, is derogatory, i am tempted to ask you to inquire from your great grandfathers who definately must have married more than one wife how it is done, but i would be termed a taliban or jihadist. My advice: Don't be a pervert don't get so intrested in other people's sexual life. well to help you out, it is possible that not all of them would be available, one may be having her period, another may just deliver or heavily pregnant, travelled or anything. if they are all around then he can meet with any one them, but he must not neglect any of them. Before you marrry 3/4 you should be able to treat them almost equally. |
Nigeria can do it |
@junkie Not sure how calling every Nigerian to do their own part will make Okiro’s database a good idea when reality is considered. How can “DO Your own part” be a solution in this case??What i am saying is simple by inference for people with good enough IQs, don't just complain about Okiro's plan, he is not the IG because he is the brightest but he got there per chance. Your idea here on nairaland may be just what he needs. It is not just enough that even people with zero IQ will claim that Okiro's plan is nonsence, with what knowledge base. I will profer my own solution thereby doing my part as a Nigerian: Every police station should have the following facilities, or at least one each for every close 4 police stations; internet connection, camera, and finger print machine. Once somebody is arrested for a crime, take the pictures, upload it into the NPF site/data base with their information etc, which other police stations can have acess to. The business of the police is to have data base for criminals, types of crimes and locations etc. once is it entered it can not be removed except by the police Hq. This could help them. Most importantly any one lesser than educational qualification of OND should not be admitted into the police. Others please |
Much as i agree that corruption and greed has really eaten deep into our national fabrics, i think we as citizens of Nigeria should not just throw our hands up in defeat, this country belongs to all of us not to them only, even if you don't stay in Nigeria you have the responsiblity of making sure that our thieving politicians don't get to sell even the very land your generations have been buried. Seriously, the solution is: everyone do your own part, you see a kid or an elderly person that wants to cross the road because the useless governments have eaten the money to construct over head bridge, help them. You see a woman selling on the road side causing traffic, do not buy from her, you see a bus conductor hiking fare without no reason do not board. Even if you can not meet with your Governor or president, or even local govt chairman, meet with your counsellor, disturb him on the dirty gutters on your street, go to your street meeting and let them know your counsellor refuses to better your lifes, he knows the consequenses, put pressure on him. I have done this and it is working at least they have packed my gutter, they did the street covet. Again when you are paying tenenment bills always let them know they are doing nothing, it always pains them when people tell them the money you are paying is a waste. Force them to do things. They want to campaign, tell them to shut up, point to what they have done aand ask them to come back when it is done. Even if you can correct talk about the wrongs every time and please pray for Nigeria. The only country we can be deported to if it comes to that is Nigeria |
;d ;d ;d :d :d :d :p :p |
Many people just like to rubbish anything Nigerian, while we do not share the same taste in film and other things which i apreciate, i make bold to say that any one who thinks Jenifa is a bad flick especially putting it on the Nigerian Pedestal standard for films does not know what he/she is doing. Agrred that it is based on a popular theme, with a story line that is not out of this world, we should recognise that the film was able to realise its set out objectives namely: to make people laugh, that anyone can contact HIV aids, that our doings will most usually catch up with us (jenifa's friend who lost potential marriageable men), that free moneys from big men are not free, etc. While some people may not appreciate the simplicity of the film in its technicalities and stuff, it is not an epic but a low budget film, which was widely appreciated. What i see is a bunch of arm chair/amatuer critics trying to put up a (bougousie) cap. In all it was a good, funny film, i will want to see again. |

It is not a must that Fashola provides them with alternatives, did he bring them there in the first place (na im carry them come lagos), he should not reward illegalities in the name of emotion or being humane. People keep harmering on economic woes, its just an excuse to commit this illegal acts and cause nuisance, who is not affected, ecery one should block the express because they need money-selfish and insane. if you sell pepper or tomato or fish in your house people will buy they will know you, so its not a must to go to oshodi to sell. Let me say this, as a son of the soil, everyday i see people from across Nigeria destroying my own state in the name of "no man's land' if the worst happen you can flee to your village. If you can not live by the rules in Lagos go to your village and sell pepper or tomato and make the millions that wants you to block railway tracks, cause traffics and dirtyetc. Im talking about every one here, yoruba hausa ibo efik etc For the advocates of this selfish road side market women imagine if you are paid by no of hours and every day you loose 7 hours to traffic then you will understand how it feels. Truth must be told, they are economic saboteurs. Let all of them put their money together buy a piece of land (toato/pepper/fish village) or borrow from micro finane banks fence it and turn it to a mini oshodi, fashola can not complain. Iya loja of oshodi can arrange it she has political power and she's rich. one of the reasons i boycotted oshodi the last 3 yrs beside traffic , arm robberies, dirts, is that right inside the market in front of her fly invested fish for sale, the 'iya eleja' was poopooing inside a paint container, she didnt mind that half of her kingsize bum bum was exposed (covered herself with wrapper) revolting! and still calling me 'Broda era eja (bros u no buy fish?) we will continue to pray for fashola, one day i hope Lagosians can spend 20 minutes between iyana ipaja and victoria island either through train or a city bus that encounters no traffic and non controlled by touts |
@Tayo D What makes you so sure? I do not hate Islam any more than I hate Buddhism, Idolatory, Hinduism or Jainism. I hold the belief that they are erroneous ways, but everyone has the right to hold to whatever system of beliefs they chooseAs a muslim i feel the same about your religion too, but i dont go about saying it cus its very sentitive, no one likes to be told his believes are errenous. A liitle restrain. If I understand you correctly, you think Richy and I may have limited our scope and should explore beyond the three factors we identified. So let me rephrase my earlier question, and hopefully you can provide some answers too: "More than sex, age, race, political leanings or nationality, the single most vital ideology that propelled the dastardly acts of 911 is undergirded by Islam. True or false."For your convenience you can pick out islam as the 'single most vital ideology' the other demographies i have given are definately vital, you should not isolate them to win an argumet, what do you think about castro and che guvera. What injustice please? You might want to list them here. Jordan took over 80% or so of Palestine and no one is lobbying kayutsa rockets into their schools. Who wanted who annihilated? Isreal has every right to self-defence, just as you and I do.I am sure you not very familiar with international relations at this level, this is beyond the biased reportage you listen to on CNN or BCC. do you know the precident of Isreali occupation of that place and more which was not their settlement until their many fracas:west bank, gollan, jerusalem etc, they need to slow down on their hautiness. Their brothers the palestinean gave them land when no one else was willing to accommodate after Hitlers madness, they are brothers inspite of u and I arguments. For argument sake u call their attacks self defence, ofcourse self defence with all the world powers supporting them, its sheer politics. the palestines or arab will not be to you-attak is the best form of defence and thats also the move behind Bush pre emptive strikes If they feel like they have the moral justification to liberate their people, so why would you blame the US for having a moral conscience to try and get rid of a dictator who has being killing his own people? Tell me, Martin Luther King also worked to liberate his own people. How many places did he bomb? He believed in and practiced non-violent confrontations and civil disobedience. Why was his ideology different from these folks? What made him different? Why didn't these guys learn from him and do the same? Please be honest in your replyshould the United state break international laws? if every one does that there will be chaos. If Nigeria feels the president of Togo is not treating his people well we should go and remove him and occupy Togo. Does the united state need to lie about nuclear weapon to get into Iraq, because they cant tell any sensible thing to convince right thinking people for them to carry out their inhuman acts. its their country my brother they have got rights, to protect their people for US nada. luther King's situation is different, and all of us can not be him See, while I will love to live in a world where this is the case, it is not going to be so. Men have always killed each other and will continue to do so, world without end. No doubt there were collateral damage when the US invaded Iraq. However, much more civilians died in the hands of fellow Iraqis than they did in the hands of the US who happen to beagain you are making convenient assumptions, Iraqi people are having the fun of their life, no one said saddam stole money, nothing like the rate of employment or poverty is high, infrastructures superb, security fine. those crying foul are politicians who wanted power by all means, friends of the the american invaders, they tried to kill him, he killed them. Now this is not to say saddam is a saint he's done some things considered not good, but most of it are even from the western media setting the agenda, they are specialist inxracer assasination and inducing hatreds. As far as the world is concerened, Bush is no better than Saddam. the truth is this, United stae needed the Iraqi oil, they are getting it, Bush senior was disgraced in Golf war, his son revenged and their company is smilling to the banks. Finally, did u see the look on Bush's face after the shoe was thrown at him- he knew he had fumbled, even his laughter and joke could nt cover for it. |
i mean Bush would not ask them to rape, note correction please |
@david this is all i asked - 15 of the 19 9-11 suspects were Saudis . . . imagine if an angry Fox journalist stoned King Fahd with his shoe in Washington . . .This is simple, a fox journalist will not 'shoe stone' king Fuhd because he did not order the suspect to do 9/11, Bush ordered the occupation of Iraq thereby the bombings and killing, Ofcourse he would ask them to rape (am not sure now) @Tayo D I am sure you hate Islam and Arabs but i will still explain. dont forget the fact that besides that they are muslims they are also arabs (race), and they also have political leanings even if it is not democrat/republican kinds (politicians with ideology), they are also young males (age). To link all these together: as Arabs they know there has been some injustice in the Isreali/palestine fracas with US and other world powers overtly showing support for the Isreali. As politician they beleive they think it is not right for America to occupy soveriegn nations or dictate style of government etc and as young people who have the energy they want to liberate their people, Dont forget they still fit into the same categories as che guvera, and Fidel castro of those days except they are Muslims and arabs. Now if you have a big bully in your neibourhood who you can not confront cause he will just laugh and kill you, what do you do, gather your friends hide some where he would pass, rain stones on him and run away. its the Guerilla tactics, so please stop giving names such as fundamentalist, extremist etc they are guerilla fighters. Others names are meant for Give a dog a bad name to hang it. Inspite of all these submission, i think no one either side has the right to take another human life. please lets rob mind further. |
@nyabinghi Davidylan is an errant fool who will never think before he spews bunkums. Why didn't Bush remove Mugabe nor save Congolese people from the tyrant Mobutu while he was in power. Please do not result to abuse, even though davidylan can be provoking. He is a sworn hater of Islam, Arabs and ofcourse has nothing good to say about his country Nigeria. Ofcourse Bush has done some things for Africa, we thank him but its not free don't forget, they give with the right hand and collect more with the left. That policy of even looking at Africa was done to check the chinese increasing intrest in Africa, especially when the meeting with africa was pending. Beyond religion and race, no one is allowed to come into a soveriegn country, kill their people, rape their women, torture their men, raze their country to nothingness, and turn rthem against each other in the name of removing a despotic administration. How did Bush even became the US presido. Bush supporter since our leaders are corrupt and uncaring will you support the americans to show their face. thank you man

I think this matter is simple, the man who 'stoned' Bush with his shoes has something against him. Picture this scenerio: Abacha is the Nigerian president, the Americans dont like him because of issues like he does not share their political view, he hates jews, he is a dictator etc. The Americans said Nigeria is building Nuclear weapon somewhere in Enugu, and inspite of all evidences that there was non, they came into Nigeria, and almost bombed us to oblivion, your father and mother were killed with a bomb dropped by the American military their bodies charred, your sister raped by a drunk American soldier, and all hushed up, two of your brothers dead and one blinded forever, your case, one of your leg is missing, and ofcourse prior to the invasion you were an executive with all the trappings in a finance house, very comfortable. No drinkable water, no house, no electricity, no clothes, all your neigbours dead or with missing limbs, the Yoruba, and Ibo are being randomly killed by Hausas even dropping bombs in markets because the Americans are seen to be supporting them even by ousting Abacha. And Abacha had to be hanged on eid celebration day to spite his people. The Yoruba and Ibo Abacha was said to have killed wanted to oust and kill him. The Americans government gave reconstruction of your country to American companis to make money-just like Julius Berger and all the moneys have been disappearing. You as an individual and Nigeria are confused. Please are you going to thank Mr Bush for coming to Nigeria. would you thank the man with the picture below or hate him. |
One of the biggest economy challenges in Lagos and by extension Nigeria is the inflammatory rate of inflation. The purchasing power of citizens rapidly declines everyday creating more poor families on the hour and ultimately making hard working Nigerians sweat and toil for nothing. In the midst of all of these is the seeming insurmountable, nerve wrecking and frustrating traffic, making an almost fruitless toiling more difficult by the day. Most annoying is the skyrocketing transportation fare, where a fare you know ordinarily costs you N20, but you have to pay N60 because it rains, people are many at the bus stop or just traffic, plus numerous other incomprehensible reasons. On the eve of the Sallah day, commuters cursed and cried, many stranded, transportation between Iyana Ipaja and Sango ota that hovers between N80 and N100 was pegged at a staggering rate of N800. A Molue ride between Oshodi and Iyana Ipaja even went up as high as N350! The relationship between transportation fare and inflation in Lagos or Nigeria is such that every chewing gum, soap or even cup of gari that you purchase, the higher cost of transportation is built inside, making you to pay more. Transportation besides hoarding is the biggest agent of inflation at least in Nigeria, this must be said. Zeroing in on Lagos and going by the above inference, the lack of grip or control in the transportation system in is ruining the state’s economy making hard working Lagosians pay though their noses. This is not to say that Governor Fashola is not doing anything on the Lagos income sucking transportation system, we see and feel is effort and enormously we commend him especially on the BRT, but he must bite harder. The Lagos state government should be able to recommend/regulate transportation fare in Lagos to cancel out the setting where the road Mafia/Agbero dictates heart sinking fares and smile to the bank, whilst Lagos bear the brunt. It is beyond comprehension that successive Lagos state governments allow these groups of hoodlums who won seats as ‘chairmen’ of garages by violent means, are allowed to dictates fares and continue to intimidate and enslave us with their own negative theory of demand and supply. No wonder some of them own choice properties, send their children abroad now for education, use latest cars and spend money like it grows on trees throwing several big parties-for them the money practically grow on trees. Its great money to collect at least 10 per cent of the income of millions of people working in Lagos in the wicked system of skyrocketing transportation scheme. We hear that Governor Fashola is working on Organising the ‘road Mafia’/Agbero, what he should not forget is they are economic saboteurs and should be punished for jacking up transport fear for their own selfish interest thereby causing inflation. Governor Fashola should also organize some kind of fare/price controlling mechanism and not leave the mechanism of false demand and supply to the hands of these idle but million making thugs. They have no business making heavy money from governments facilities such as roads and markets, their system is so organized that unknowingly we pay VAT and taxes to them. That is why the woman selling inside the road with makeshift shop, causing severe traffic is given tickets by their hemp smoking Mafioso. All of these must stop. Incase Governor fashola does not understand the Agbero modus operandi: they are home grown replica Sicilian mafias who muscle people to pay illegal taxes and make them do their biddings. The chairman (Capone) seats in his office surrounded by armed thugs(Mafioso) who thwart coup de tat, and make millions everyday with remittance from illegal collections across the territory he has won violently. From the bus drivers who pay percentages for every trip to the ‘vulcaniser’ and the market woman who pay for road spaces. To paint the picture more clearly, some of the dues they collect that are transferred to commuters includes ‘owo security’(protection fee, as if no police), ‘owo olopa’ (police bribing fee), ‘owo alejo’ (chairman’s visitors entertainment), ‘owo load’( the regular tax for working per day, and lots more collected with punches without leaving out the percentages collected on the number of passengers that comes into a bus per bus stop. This why many of them drive hummer jeeps, and marry new wives every year. Beyond government regulations, the people of Lagos/Nigeria should also refuse to be exploited. If every one at the bus stop refuse to enter an ‘inflated fare bus’ then the driver and his conductor either drives off and go home hungry or take the passengers at the right fare to be able to make money. We have power over these thugs and should exercise it; we should not always be in hurry to make them over come us. We also have stakes in stemming the hardship and inflation effected by these mean groups. Even if the governments fear to take on the perpetrators of these organized transport crime syndicates because they are a strong political cum electioneering machines, we should take our destiny in our hands by not allowing the exploitation. Now is the time to act |

This event happened some few years back, my friend's cousin is happily married now to a better man with 2 kids and still lives in the UK, lucky i guess. I actually do not know what happened to the guy until early this year i visited and she told me she sent him some money cus of this and that, I strongly think she is lucky still because of her kind heart and a willing to please attitude (which is detrimental). Well regarding the abortion part, he would shout, rake, threaten, refuse talking to her until it is removed, many will agree it is stupid, but she's is so inlove that, until she saw the ivy, thin line between love and hate. But last @somze if not that u are chelsea fan, not every one has time to spin stories together to generate response for the fun of it, its for all to learn, from others mistake and triumphs |
This actually happened to my friend's cousin who is also my friend. She was dating this guy from a 'poor' background, even though they are rich and finally she took him over to the UK(she's a citizen) because she really loves him. Now guess what the guy did, he started misbehaving: she's not fine, she's too fat etc. This is a guy who could not afford a pair of shoes after his NYSC and no job. The worst parts of the whole issue are: over in the Uk he made her abort like 5 times, and then the ultimate secret leaked, he was making plans to marry her friend when he comes to naija on the pretence of one thing or the other, then bring over the back-stabbing friend later to live with him, after breaking up with My friend's cousin. As God/luck would have it, we got wind of the developmnt through one apriko, who saw their coded Invitation card and then we made our own plan too. For some flimsy reasons, the fiancee ask they visit naija, upon ariving we seize the bag containing all papers that could help him return to the Uk, he could go and marry his fellow wretched idiots. would you beleive his parents who were supportive of his actions and knew all his plans came begging too, any way we had the last laugh. what would you do to such lover and a back stabbing friend |
