Is it norms for companies not to send regret mails to applicants not successful at AC? I applied a Job and we know they have contacted some people , even though we were all asked to submit our Degree and NYSC Certificate after AC.

It may mean decisions are not fully made yet and they might still need to call more people.

Or maybe they've decided not to continue with the scholarship this year, I discovered most companies have stopped their foreign postgraduate scholarships; ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies and NLNG have stopped theirs.

I believe the list should be out latest next week friday.

There's no recruitment conducted by NLNG since 2007 that doesn't have a waitlist.

To be honest, I understand that it's hard to accept the fact that this recruitment is gone especially for someone that sees it as the only option, but you need to move on quickly. Depression is real o!

I don't know but I want to believe the winners have been contacted.

Yh, it may be up to that. The total number of GTs was also around 140 in 2017. 83 were recruited, the remaining were on waitlist before they disbanded the waitlist prematurely due to some of them causing some trouble. I bliv they would av also gotten in if they were patient and avoided trouble.

Taking a cue from the past, I think they've already got in touch with the winners. Dragnet do contact them the week after the test.

What’s the difference between trainee operator and graduate trainee?

Trainee operators are the entry level HND guys while graduate trainees are the entry level degree guys.

Okay so I went with active people and I am convinced it’s the right choice for me but I still think there’s arguments valid with your points that still convince me, there’s no right or wrong.
I learnt these point of yours from other people after I finished my AC and;
1) The allegations, I learnt was from only one news outlet, and allegations are allegations. Especially when it’s from one outlet then it could even be a planned sabotage.
2 & 3) are you willing to take the risk and give it to a big organisation to handle everything for you or would you rather give a small organisation that you’ll have to even help in some areas (there was a point they made to me that I can’t remember that I mentioned you’ll have to outsource to the active people to help them in the charity)

So I still think they can both be arguably right

I also think there's no wrong or right answer, u just have to explain why you selected ur choice over the other.

Looking at the fact that the op/tech guys for HND picked over 140 applicants across the 2 batches, do you think a high number of intake such as theirs will also play out for the GT guys?

From calculations, the number of people invited for the AC is 500 while the number of those that dint show up is around 20 or slightly less

He said its approx. 800 candidates across the 3 states and about 600 showed up.

So if they are taking 120 to 150 (as someone suggested), then the chances will be 1 out of every 4 or 1 out of every 5 will get the job.

I guess everyone is just tense from the Assessment Centers and haven't fully recovered. The waiting period begins

6 weeks from today right? does that mean it shoul dbe sometime around August before emails for the next stage go out

6 weeks from now should be last week of July but I think it may not be up to that time before we get a response.

Hello mods and seniors of this particular thread, I want to know how the rules of this thread apply to a google form link I want to post. It’s for the candidates to say the date and the number of people present on their day, and the form result will be public of course so we can have an actual insight on how many people attended the AC, thanks.

Pls don't bring it here, NLNG HR guys monitor this thread and they may think the form to be what it's not.
