HealthRe: Differences Between Ayurveda And Homeopathy by Hahnemann: 3:14pm On May 13, 2022
Nice one

Amit121:
In the world, there exists more than one branch of medicine and each of them is very different from the other. Each branch has its prowess in a group of diseases and disorders. Just like the quintessential allelopathy, homeopathy and Ayurveda are also forms of medication. Homeopathy provides expert remedies and Ayurveda focuses on the complete wellness of the body (physically and mentally). We’re going to discuss the principal differences between homeopathy and Ayurveda

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda translates to, ‘The science of life’ and it has originated in the Indian subcontinent. Using the knowledge of Ayurveda a lot of modern treatment techniques have been developed over the centuries. Ayurveda developed in the Vedic period in India and it’s dependent on herbs and minerals in curing diseases. Apart from food, Ayurveda also encompasses fitness habits like massage, yoga, and meditation. Using Ayurveda products Sydney in curing diseases is a slow and steady process but there are no side effects.

What is Homeopathy?

Developed by the great German physician Samuel Hahnemann, homeopathy is also an alternative form of medicine. The term homeopathy translates to ‘similar suffering’. The ailing person is exposed to similar diseases. In response, their immune system fights off the disease which results in a stronger immune system. Homeopathic medicines also act slowly and have no such side effects. The three guiding principles of Homeopathy are:

• Like cures like
• Minimum dosage
• Single remedy

The differences in their philosophy

According to Ayurveda, the health of the human body is chiefly dependent on the balance of three components: wind, bile, and phlegm. The imbalance in these life components is what causes diseases. Ayurveda has various disciplines of treatment including internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, toxicology, and aphrodisiacs.

But the philosophy of homeopathy is bent toward vitalism. According to the branch of homeopathy, external and internal causes disrupt the ‘vital force’ which is the reason for a person’s health deterioration. If you go to a homeopathy doctor in Sydney, they’ll try to decipher both your psychological and physical state to make decisions. The ‘like cures like’ principle directs that to cure a disease, a person needs to be treated with the medicine that produces the same symptoms of that disease.

The history of Ayurveda and Homeopathy

Ayurveda originated from the Indian Vedic text, Atharvaveda. The earliest known Ayurvedic manuscript can be dated back to the 4th century, known as the Bower Manuscript.

German physician Samuel Hahnemann invented homeopathy in the late 18th century. His research work on remedy formulas was published in Fragmenta de viribus (1805) and in The Organon of the Healing Art (1810). Over the years, homeopathy has been pursued by plenty of patients as a safer mode of treatment. But the whole subject of homeopathy was criticized by society including medical practitioners and teachers. This resulted in a termination of advocating homeopathy during the 1920s but homeopathy was again revived during the 1970s.

Preparation of medicine

Ayurvedic treatment is dependent on animal and plant extracts for both internal and external use. High potential minerals like copper, Sulphur, lead, and gold and animal products like milk, bones, and gallstones are mixed with herbal products for treatment.
Homeopathic medicines are made with diverse animal and plant extracts, synthetic materials, and mineral substances. A specific assortment of substances among these are diluted in alcohol or distilled water. After that, the mixture is shaken vigorously to make the solution homogenous; this process is known as succession.

What are the backlashes associated with homeopathy and Ayurveda?

There are quite a number of negatives and backlashes that these alternative forms of medicine have faced throughout the centuries. For this reason, even now both the branches are not considered fully dependent by the majority.

Ayurveda:

Scientists have criticized Ayurveda because of the lack of sufficient evidence or clinical trials of the drugs. Some sense that the mysterious herbs and minerals used to prepare Ayurvedic medicines are toxic.

Homeopathy:

Some physicians consider Homeopathy a deceptive branch of medicine. It is argued that there is almost no presence of the original substance in the drug as the drugs are severely diluted. The ‘cured’ is the cause of the placebo effect.

What are the similarities between homeopathy and Ayurveda?

First of all, both Ayurveda and homeopathy are considered alternative forms of medicine. Both of them are dependent on the usage of natural substances instead of harmful chemicals. Both Ayurvedic and homeopathic treatments take time to show signs of healing and they don’t have any side effects. Unlike allopathic treatment, both of them don’t focus on the current disease but the treatments consider the entire mental and physical well-being.

As homeopathy and Ayurveda seriously lacks when it comes to credibility, they’ve been criticized by many. Regardless of that, they’re both accepted by a smaller percentage of people and used for the treatment of all kinds of diseases.

Amen.

Let's see.... how do I do this....

Ok. With 2M, you can start the process, get to Vietnam, and still be good for the next 1-2 months. By process, I mean both getting the right documents, authentication, one year visa, work permit, flight, accommodation, feeding, etc.

This however depends on some things.

1. The agent
2. Your prudence in spending
3. Your taste.
4. Location

Other than that, 2M would get you the best option.
Is this budget still feasible?

Going by d current black market exchange rate of about #570 to $1, this should be about $3.5k

WhyNa:
One decision you have to make when moving to Vietnam is which Province to settle in. Vietnam has about 57 provinces with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hai Phong and Da Nang being the top 4 cities. Other popular 'semi-cities' include Hoi An, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Lao cai, etc.

So what are some things you should look out for? It's up to you really. Do you prefer the hustle and bustle of the city or the quiet and calm of the rural areas? Here are a couple of comparisions to the best of my knowledge:

1) Jobs
Of course job is number one cos that's the main thing (at least for those coming on a work visa). You're 99.9 percent guaranteed to find a job asap if you land and decide to pitch your tent in the smaller or lesser known provinces. the smaller and more rural the province, the higher your chances. As long as your documents are all complete and you're here legally, you should have no problem.

This is not to say you won't get a job asap in the cities. I started straight from the city too. It would just take a while as they would usually require you to be experienced especially because the students here are more advanced and the pay is higher. This leads to my next point....

2) Salary
You should have guessed by now, salary in the city is definitely higher than in the villages. But just as I mentioned in point one, you should have known your onions or at least be smart enough to learn on the go and keep improving yourself to compete out there. In the cities, you have folks from not just first world countries but from all over the world, competing for those jobs. Some with Msc sef but guess what, qualifications ddoen't always make a good teacher. Same reason why many schools are beginning to appreciate African teachers. Plus....Centers full everywhere. On amount, the least has gone up to $1200 which is like $12 per hour. I see it going up this year. When I came in in Feb 2020, it was $800

3) Accomodation
Again, this is a no brainer. accomodation in the villages are cheaper....no wayyyyy cheaper than the cities. So the bulk of your earnings would be spent on accomodation which is still cheap whether in the city or village. A rough estimate is you can pay up to 250 usd for a studio or one bedroom apartment in the city but your counterparts in the village can pay just 100 usd for same or even get free accomodation ( this free accomadation may or may not meet your standards). Plus i usually advice you ask for the money and get your own thing.

To be continued...

Thanks for the insight. You are a life saver

How do I go about filing a formal complaint against whom I believe is a quack medical doctor.

This man operates a private clinic where he murders or leaves people in perpetual pain in the name of performing surgery

From all indications, he may not be a certified, licensed medical practitioner.

I want to report him to prevent others from going through what two of my family members went through.
Which state is the Dr practicing?

Hurrraaaaayyyyyy!!!

@whyna is back!!!

Glad to see other Nairalanders made it too successfully to Vietnam and are already making it.

@whyna, pls the suspense took a big toll on us and I will like to add that no matter what we do wrong again in this thread, just find another way to punish us because the long silence almost made me lose my mind and this is to show you how much your update means to a lot of us.

I'm glad all of you are very OK and enjoying Vietnam and I'm glad that you guys are among the new generation of Nigerians painting good image and representing us well over there and send the message to the Viets that not all Nigerians are scammers but a lot of us are ready to work hard and legitimately earn our money.

Congratulations to all that have made it to Vietnam and congratulations to the ones that their visas just came out.

I pray that all of you get good paying jobs ASAP and for the land of Vietnam to favour all of you (us).

I pray that soon all restrictions be lifted including cancellation of the compulsory hotel quarantining because this I believe will reduce the cost and difficulties involved in getting visas.

I wish you all the best and promising to see you guys soon.
