Biafrarep: Wow, I just saw your post now. How is the process?
What do you mean by choosing a 250 hour course, I thought it's meant to last one month max? its not one month max course, there are different levels of TEFL course depending on the course content. Just google more about it, you will find more info. |

Hi Whyna
i hope you are doing very great over there at vietnam. In concuring to what the above person have posted, I never knew a place like vietnam existed talk more of knowing that there are teaching opportunities which could make ones life better. please do not allow this thread to die but keep the fire burning.
A bit of goodnews is that i have started my own 250hours TEFL course with Global Language training center, UK and the experience is just amazing. I look forward to taking other steps and hopefully very soon I will meet you in person in Vietnam.
Nothing good comes easy and you should not expect to start a useful thread like this without passing through storms of verbal attacks which might attempt to demoralise you but what is important is for you to summon courage and keeping going.
you might not benefit directly from this thread but I must let you know that you have saved lives of a lot of frustrated youths who doesnt know the path to follow anymore letting them know they have better options to follow in their journey of life and an example of such youths is me typing this at this moment. you have restored my hope and you have have given me an option and I'm not ready to give up but pls do not give up on us.
Thanks a lot. |

deyemia: Hi House,
Please have you or know anyone who converted Toyota corrolla 2005 from manual to automatic? What was the outcome?
I have considered the cost and I’m ok, it’s still cheaper than selling the manual and buying auto.
Regards Not advisable. if it was from auto to manual, I would have told you to go ahead with it. I'm currently rocking my golf mk4 2005 model which I converted from auto to manual and I never had any regret doing do till date. I almost scrapped d car when the auto transmission started giving me issues, but to the glory of God I'm enjoying the ride now 100% |

Kahbahsah: Op thanks for this awesome thread. Please any update will be appreciated.
Specifically, please can you give a detailed expense budget needed to come into Thailand as a student. You can cover the following:
1)Average annual tuition fee for an affordable University (I know you mentioned it before, but please throw more light on how the instalment tuition payment works)
I am in same category with you and have been eagerly waiting to see op's response to this question but it seems it's not coming anytime soon
2)Student visa application fee
3) minimum account balance needed for visa application
4)Flight ticket
5)Any other expense
Also, please currently, how easy it is as a NIGERIAN to get an English teaching job? I already have a BSc degree, IELTS and a TEFL certificate.
Thanks alot as I await your response. |

WhyNa: True.
The lockdown has been lifted though and things are opening up. Schools remain closed in some provinces while some other provinces have resumed.
As for International students, note that when you get admission here, you sort out your visa yourself. Schools don't help with that Are they still doing the 14days quarantine |

I read this thread for three days and three night from page one till the end. Whyna, I really commend what you have done and honestly I don't know if I can have the typing strength to do dsame if I were you. All my mind and dreams right now is to migrate to Vietnam, I'm a medical laboratory scientist currently earning 50k monthly despite all d hardwork and stress. Now henceforth, I'm doubling my hustle and probably by Jan 2023, I will meet you face to face in Vietnam.
Hopefully too, things will be completely back to normal over there and cost of visa and flight will have come down, and the idea of 14days quarantine would have been canceled.
Thank you @Whyna and pls keep updating this thread. I love you like a sis. STAY SAFE |

cooooooks: Second suggestion.
If you're willing, go get a nursing certificate in an Asian country. Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.
Then use that certificate to go to Canada, US, Europe as a nurse.
The health sector is in SERIOUS need abroad and there are established routes from Asia. Even more than Nigeria. Luke how much can it cost to get this? |
Travel › Re: Pls Which Country Can I Travel To With ₦1.5 Million To Hustle? by Hahnemann: 6:28am On Sep 15, 2021 |
cooooooks: Check Canada.
Specifically, the Rural and Remote Communities Immigration Program.
That money is small but may be enough to get an immigration company to provide you the proof of funds (interest loan) needed for that program.
If your skill is in high demand or you are willing to settle down and do something short term, really consider Canada.
If you can do auxiliary nurse, Canada will work for you, especially in a remote rural community.
You will need to settle down and work for 2-3 years but once you're in, you're in. I'm interested in this, plz give me more info |

Ritztravels: In Asia, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, and Cambodia are better options cos you do at least have the chance to land a decent teaching gig that will keep you afloat for a while. Coupled with a low cost of living you will be better off than going to Philippines where you will be jostling with locals for such opportunities, also socially filipinos aren't exactly known for their acceptance of Africans. Just my 2 cents. Wat is a teaching gig? |
