Australian universities i can apply to and easily get admission to pursue Msc in Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biomedical science for Fall 2017 or Winter 2018 entry?
You may also help with less expensive universities. Lol. Thanks
This link might help. Also, was ur undergraduate 4 or 5yrs? Cos there are some universities dt wouldn't give u admission if it was 4years, unless u graduated from some selected universities in Nigeria

Happy weekend fam!!

In my own limited understand about the whole visa waiting thing, I would suggest that people whose visa process time has exceeded 36days/50days should call Pretoria and confirm what is going on +27124236203.

It's just a suggestion tho.
It's now 36days/68days sef.

Hmmmm! Have to take heart anyway! Got my visa rejected with decision from DIBP yesterday. The worst part is I got 3 years ban from applying any visa to Australia. This happens as a result of employment letter which could not be verified. God will grant everyone expecting his/her visa on this platform. I would get immigration lawyer in Aussie so the ban could be waived cos my Aussie partner will be in Naija for marriage so I'll file for spouse visa
This ain't cool. Hard luck bruh

Greetings house,

Please, I am currently working as an Engineer in a firm in Nigeria. I have saved up a little amount and I need to further my education in Engr Mgt. at Melbourne; First degree Mechanical Engr with a second class upper division.

Please, I kindly need ur advice on what to do or how to go about it.
I know little or nowhere to start from.

Thanks n God bless
I think you should first chk out d possibly of getting PR, before deciding to further your education. This is the PR thread

please what more do you know about the school and environs that u can share?i've just seen I can get the 5 points regional bonus studying there.
The school is in Sydney, so I don't think you can get that 5 points that u talked about, moreover, since it's nursing u're going for, I don't rily see the need for that 5 points ( I stand to be corrected tho). I brought your attention to that school cos of the location (Sydney), instead of you just focusing on the place where everyone is against. You can still apply to Flinders, which was ur initial choice, but still try and apply to other schools in the big cities also. So when it's time for you to accept your offer, you'd have options to choose from.

i hope its clear enough, that's the annual fee for 2017 sef 32,900,and tuition fees increases every year.
Take a look at the points noted at the bottom. The 3rd one to be specific, where they talked about the d 1st year being 100 credit points and the 2nd, 70 credit points. I jus came across it and decided to let u know sha. So that u can make more enquiries on it.

flinders uni dear but my intake is for February as they don't take 2nd semester intake for the course, although I'm trying to get my visa asap..graduate entry nursing, flinders was the cheapest I could find for 14550 a semester 2018 tuition most others are over 16grand.
I think Western Sydney University is abt 16k per semester for the 1st year but around 12k per semester for the second year, for the nursing graduate entry program. You can research further tho

Public health is broad, it very possible to get pr if u specialize in areas like environmental health, health promotions etc
. I didn't say it wouldn't b possible 2 get PR with public health. Wah I said was that it'd be difficult. I also read microbiology and wanted going for my masters in public health. People on this forum and some of my friends in Australia made me understand the challenges I might face. I even know of som1 who did her masters in public health at Australia and upon graduation went for Bachelor of nursing. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from going for a course of his/her choice. It'd just be great if you ask more about the course, before going for it. Especially if you intend staying back in Australia.

They don't require bank statements 2 give admission. But there is possibility of it being asked for b4 visa is granted, as we've heard from some people who applied AL1 schools

Biotechnology and they said my qualification is not comparable to an Australian bachelor degree. Has anybody experienced that?
yeah. Dt is true. Some universities in Australia accept a 4 year degree from jus some selected universities in Nigeria. You can apply to Macquarie Univ. They have that same course and would most likely give u admission, as far as ur result is good. They also give students from Africa, a discount of 2500aud per semester

Thanks boss, I'll check the list as you suggested. I studied Microbiology at first degree. Do you have an idea of any course I can study that'll kind of "bridge" so I can proceed to doing MSc Nursing. I understand I can't do MSc Nursing direct with my Microbiology.

Once again, I appreciate you and look forward to more of your advice.
Instead of going for the Msc in nursing it's better u go for the Bachelor of nursing (graduate entry), which is 2 years. It's for people who already have a degree in another course. You can google the schools in Australia that offer the program. Western Sydney University, QUT and UQ are some of the schools that offer it. WSU isn't an AL1 school tho

Pls what Health related course would you suggest that'll make getting PR easy?
Nursing. You can google MLTSS Australia to find the list of courses through which you can easily get PR

Hi babajigga, please must someone pay for first semester fee before travelling to Australia?

My kid brother got master admission to study public health at griffin university. He is requesting for my Statement of account. When he get there he will work and pay his school fees that was he told me. He said he don't need to pay now.
He should really ask about that course and the location of the school, especially since he plans on hustling to pay his fees. He should have chosen a university in a big city lyk Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. He should also put it at the back of his mind that it'd be very difficult for him to get permanent residency with public health. Whichever course he eventually chooses, he should try and make sure it's up to 2 years, so that he wouldn't have problem getting his 2 years post study visa.

I have friends in Charles dawning and Flinders who got there without ielts many of them. But its good to write it anyways so as to be on safer side. its gonna be of help when you get there for other purposes. I might give it a try as well, I didn't wanna write it initially.
@Tobe4real Most schools require IELTS for their nursing programs. Some of them even require as high as 7.0 in each section of ur IELTS. If d school requires u 2 present ur IELTS result and u don't, u'd b required to pay abt 4000aud for an English program when u get 2 Australia.

School fees here is over 10 million naira per session. I would advise you to try Australia,Canada or Europe. But if you have the money you can give it a try. Just my 25 fills.
Thanks. I've actually made some research about schooling in Australia. I discovered dt they have some kinda conditions b4 even som1 who studied there would be able 2 apply for permanent residency, d conditions include but not limited to, studying a course which is on their list of skilled list and one might also have to study there 4 a minimum of 2yrz. That's why I'm considering UAE. I don't know if a Nigerian who has an MBA from an Ivy league university in dubai, would have a high chance of getting a good job over there @ UAE.
