Sports / Dangote Explains When He’ll Take Over Arsena by Hamsammyboi(m): 10:35am On Jan 29, 2022 |
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has explained when he’ll buy Arsenal, reports UK newspaper, Mirror. Aliko Dangote has been Africa’s Richest Man for the past 11 years and the billionaire has regularly spoken about wanting to buy Arsenal – although the Kroenke’s are adamant the club is not for sale. Arsenal’s ownership under the Kroenke’s has been a rocky road. The American businessman became majority shareholder of the Gunners in 2011 and the club have since found success hard to come by. That has led to spells of discontent amongst fans, as well as interested parties throwing their hat into the ring to buy the club. Last year, in the wake of the European Super League scandal, Swedish businessman and Spotify founder Daniel Ek launched a high-profile takeover bid which was abruptly turned down. The Kroenke’s insisted at the time that the club is not for sale under any circumstances, issuing a statement saying: “In recent days we have noted media speculation regarding a potential takeover bid for Arsenal Football Club. We remain 100% committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the Club. We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer.” Whilst the Kroenke’s resisted that £1.8billion offer and look set to maintain the same stance, they could have another takeover proposal to consider in the near future. That’s because Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has regularly stated his desire to try and buy the club. Speaking in January 2020, he outlined he would look at launching a takeover as soon as he finished other projects he was working on. At that time, he suggested 2021 as a potential target date, but that has now passed and the timeline of his other projects is unclear. Speaking in 2020, Dangote said of Arsenal: ”It is a team that yes I would like to buy some day, but what I keep saying is we have $20billion worth of projects and that’s what I really want to concentrate on. “I’m trying to finish building the company and then after we finish, maybe some time in 2021 we can. “I’m not buying Arsenal right now, I’m buying Arsenal when I finish all these projects, because I’m trying to take the company to the next level.” Dangote and other interested parties have been told exactly how much it would likely cost to takeover the Gunners – or another ‘big six’ club. In March 2020, Bob Ratcliffe – head of the football division for Ineos and brother of Sir Jim Ratcliffe claimed: “They’re all for sale”... |
Sports / WC Playoffs: Why Ghana Might Be Afraid To Face The Super Eagles by Hamsammyboi(m): 10:26am On Jan 29, 2022 |
Super Eagles of Nigeria are scheduled to square up against the Black Stars of Ghana for an important FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign in March 2022. The match between the two football rivals would determine the sole country that would join four other African representatives in Qatar. The Black of Ghana were eliminated in the group stage of the ongoing TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations tournament that is taking place in Cameroon. Nigeria on the other couldn't scale the hurdle posed by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the round 16 of the competition. Both countries are in need of the qualification ticket in order to redeem themselves and put smiles on the faces of their teaming supporters. Meanwhile, I think Ghana might be afraid of Super Eagles despite having head-to-Head an edge over their Nigerian counterparts. This is because Nigeria had an impressive run at AFCON despite crashing out early. Apart from that, the Black Stars will miss the services of their captain, Andre Ayew due to the red card he had in their last outing against Comoros. Crime / (pic) A Woman Has Opened Up On How She Was Dumped By Her Boyfriend 10 Months by Hamsammyboi(m): 11:28am On Jan 23, 2022 |
Colleen said that when she had the chance to change her boyfriend’s life six years ago, she didn’t think twice about going under the knife for him. When they first got together, Colleen said her boyfriend had been upfront about how he’d been struggling with chronic kidney disease since the age of 17, The Sun reports. This meant he had to be on dialysis and his kidneys functioned at just five per cent of the average capacity. She explained: “I decided to get tested to see if we were a match because I didn’t want to watch him die.” They were a match and Colleen donated a kidney to him The surgeries were a big success and both made a full recovery. However, Colleen said that he cheated on her seven months later. In a follow-up video on TikTok, Colleen explained how her ex told her he was going to Las Vegas for a bachelor party with some guys in his church. At the time, Colleen was in the middle of her final exams and trusted her boyfriend completely so didn’t think any more of it. Later, he turned up on her doorstep and confessed to cheating. “A lot of arguments later, I eventually forgave him and gave him a second chance,” she said. But three months later, the boyfriend brutally dumped Colleen over the phone. She claims he said: “If we are meant for each other, God will bring us back together in the end.” Colleen said the break-up only got messier from there. She said he told her: “You only donated your kidney to look good”. |
Celebrities / Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo Has Urged Parents With Underaged Children To Be Min by Hamsammyboi(m): 11:13am On Jan 23, 2022 |
In a video she shared on her Instagram page, the mum of two stated that TikTok is fun and good but that it is not for children. She advised parents who want their children to be signed up on the app to ensure they put their ages on it so the app can automatically restrict what they can have access to. She Said; ”I noticed that a lot of parents especially parents with kids of between 4 to 13 years old allow their kids download TikTok but I don’t think you know they neeed to put their age on it so that they are restricted to certain things they can see on TikTok because TikTok is not an app for kids. A lot of things go on on TikTok and they probably might get confused especially when they get to see a whole lot of things that I don’t think you want to grow up and become I notice that a lot of parents know that you can put your child’s age on it so that it restricts what they are going to be seeing on TikTok. They would see things that have to do with their age, they would see things that have to do with kids but when you allow them download TikTok and they are just handling a TikTok account, they are going to be seeing a whole lot of things there that you might not really want them to see but you wouldn’t know. TikTok is fun, it’s good but it is not for children. ” If you believe her share If you don't believe like |

Sports / Nigeria Vs Tunisia: 5 Players That Will Determine Super Eagles Fate by Hamsammyboi(m): 10:38am On Jan 23, 2022 |
1. Moses Simon Daddy is regarded as the most in-form player of the tournament given his sublime performance in Nigeria's win over Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon. So good they named him in the tournament top 11 for the group stage, Simon has continued to grow in confidence game after game, and his masterpiece will be hugely needed when Nigeria faces Tunisia on Sunday. Super Eagles should have no problem dismissing Tunisia If Simon enjoys a good day in the office. 2. Kelechi Iheanacho He may have blown hot and cold in the tournament, Kelz Is still a striker to reckon with, and he can be deadly if paired with a selfless striker. The Leicester City man seems to have withdrawn to his cocoon after scoring Nigeria's winning goal against Egypt, but coach Austin Eguavoen will be looking up to this intelligent striker to bring home the bacon against Tunisia on Sunday. Joe Aribo The Glasgow Ranger man is currently enjoying a new lease of life under coach Austin Eguavoen. Aribo has successfully brought in the much-needed creativity and a breath of fresh air into Super Eagles midfield. He would need to be at his best against Tunisia and ensure the attackers get supply. Ndidi has been the man for the big occasion, but Nigeria's chance of making fresh progress to the quarter will also be determined by Joe's work ethics, distribution, and ball recovery. Kenneth Omeruo Normalcy seems to have returned to the Super Eagles defence since Omeruo bounced back from rock-bottom to reclaim a starting shirt in the national team. Overlooked by former manager Gernot Rohr, Omeruo is in the best form of his life at the moment, and his sublime performance has positively impacted Ekong's game too. An error-free Omeruo should be enough to ensure Nigeria enjoys another clean sheet on Sunday. 5 Maduka Okoye Shielded by his rearguards in the group stage, Sunday's game against Tunisia will surely be Okoye's biggest test if Tunisia striker, Wahbi Kazri'sd second Covid-19 test turns negative. The Saint Etienne striker scored twice and set up another in his country's 4-0 win over Mauritania last Sunday. But the former Sunderland forward is currently down with Covid-19. Okoye will have to be at his best against Tunisia who will hope to score first against Nigeria and then sit back to soak pressure from Super Eagles stars. |
