Wow, i got here and saw many of the recommendations for Brume! That's cool. I just got my BRAND NEW dv9700 delivered to me today and i must say i was impressed grin. I was a little dubious about interacting with someone i'd never met, but i wasn't disappointed! He was also every nice about the price.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!

Actually, it wasnt so much bad but funny, a few people liked to say that me and my close friend were a lesbian couple. ha. they wished.

Do I have to hire a driver that does not even know how to start a car just to satisfy you? No.
WHAThuh!?? grin grin ;DAbeg, stop embarassing yourself just cos you want to make a point (whatever that is)! We don't know you personally, we're not out to get you. More 2 or 3 people can't be saying the same thing to spite you.

Na wa o, No-ones begging you to take advice. Just stop getting so defensive. Its unnecessary. I've said my own.
I don't have any point to make to YOU, so I dont see why I should show you my work.

You know, its always fun to watch you do this EVERYTIME you ask for a review. You're so predictable! I dont even know why you bother! grin

@dantewb
ur the man jo.

Afam the 'developer' strikes again. Its like driving badly and giving the excuse that you can't drive, instead of learning or getting a driver. People are just trying to tell you that aesthetically ur site isnt the best. You admitted why. Instead, of sitting on your oars and blaming your lack of design skills, try and find a way to improve it instead of jumping down their throats. That's not the way to progress, man.

WebmastersRe: Website Review, Anyone? by hanen(f): 8:00am On Mar 18, 2008
Mmm, mediocre at the very best. Could be better arranged somewhow, it looks scattered, text could be smaller, and less sparse. If there isnt much content there isnt a point in it being so wide. The flash header, um, the transitions are too blocky, not smooth. The background colour also has no bearing with the rest of the site. The search box, is huge. It's like a header on its own.And that logo, it'd be better if yo had a high-res version of it. The news bit, why is the space between the lines so uneven?

Also, why in heaven's name is the bottom line linking to your site so big? It's not too nice. It should be tiny. The first thing people want to see on a site is not who made it.

Why are you biting at Timmy, guy's just speaking his mind. You asked for the opinion right? And if you don't know, there'll be people out there, who, when they see the site, will think the same. Ur that same guy who was tooting his own horn about his programming skills as if it would make up for his lack of design sense for justnigeriaentertainment right? How's that coming along? smiley
BusinessRe: GTB Resumes Third-party Online Transfer by hanen(f): 2:52pm On Mar 16, 2008
It's rubbish. You have to pre-register the people you're transferring to, and then, you can only register three. so they're basically saying you have to know in advance who you'll be sending to, which isn't always convenient.
WebmastersRe: Website Review. Express Yourself by hanen(f): 3:49pm On Mar 14, 2008
Really nice. I agree with my2cents on the use of divs and cc

@mambenanje,
i must confess i was stomped by your, um, explanation. CSS is actually quite a VERY simple concept. But when you start with all of THAT stuff, it just borders on unnecessary confusion. I've been using css for yonks and u confused me, imagining saying that to a beginner! We know you're probably good at the programming thing or whatever, or you read a really cool concept somewhere, but you know that saying: 'if it aint broke, dont fix it.' smiley No offence

Wow you are very young, with all those wrinkles on your face, do u think i don't know you? forget we did NYSC camping together. The guy want somebody in UK which disqualifies you coupled with the wrinkles you are battling to get rid off olodo.

You have got a man(early 70s or late 60s),if he is young you could have refered him as a guy grin grin grin.
JKpretty made what point, check the name of the poster and check mine and tell me if they are the same. Your frustration is turning to another thing, please try and find husband before nature seal that stuff. You can't even convince that old man to marry which show your IQ is as low as that of a child in creche.

Look at this gyl wey staff don useless for their bank because of how desperate she wan marry dey make noise for Nairaland because keyboard dey shield your face. Don't ever let me write your full name and office address for here
LOL, WTF? petty name calling and yet u can refer to me as the one with the low IQ? I never directed my original post at you, but you're the only one who decided to take panadol for another man's headache. Did i beg you to replY? Sigh, you're speaking gibberish. Damn. This is why they said you should pay attention in school and lay off the drugs folks, or you could come off sounding retarded like this poor fellow here,

Wow Frustration is taking it toll here. The guy made a choice and sorry you did not fall to his category, why venting your anger on Nairaland. Maybe you are nearing your monopause. Its never late, if you can change you might be lucky to be someone's(Old man in late 70s) second wify before the stuff is sealed by nature. Don't even know your sex anyway but the way you wrote one can sense it.
Wow, how immature can you sound? How old are you 16? No wonder you can't find a 'wife'. Gawd, I don't know anyone that would approach a grown man that writes like that. Grow up first. Not that I have to explain myself to you, but I'm very young, AND i've got a man with a reasonable head on his shoulders. FYI, im also NOT in the UK or wherever it is you're lamenting from. I've sha said my own, and you didn't disagree, which goes to show. JKpretty made a point, if you like run back here to Naija to find a wife, many of them will surprise you.

RomanceRe: Where Are They? by hanen(f): 9:57am On Mar 10, 2008
That's nice. So, here are a bunch of whiny, lazy Nigerian men that are getting together to lament because the women around them refuse to sit down in a kitchen and make them dinner. Get over yourselves and ur fat egos. If you want nigerian food so much, I'm prety sure your arms and legs are very functional. Make it yourself. If an expertise in the kitchen is all you're looking for in a wife, then the village is there. Go and marry one of those ones and stop disturbing us here.

Who do u guys think you are? You're not doing us any favours by marrying us so I don't know why you're feeling important. That's why these so-called 'lazy' Nigerian women are off marrying other races, cos they aren't backward and dont act like cavemen.

And people wonder why i say Nigerian men can be immature.

RomanceRe: Why Do Some Men Inteprete Friendliness As "interest" by hanen(f): 3:04pm On Feb 26, 2008
Because men are simple-minded, randy creatures, sadly. you have to be very careful when dealing with them. Like handling an animald. They think any woman that gives them 2 glances likes them and anyone with a hug wants them in bed.
grin Abeg make una give answers jo!

Mine is, pretend to be a stranger, ask for for somewhere that u think she might be heading to, then say something that might catch her interest. Ask her if she is a movie star, tell her she looks like one and maybe she should consider joining acting, bla bla, Girls likes such flattering conversation and before u know it, you'll strike a conversation that might lead to exchange of numbers. But do not ask for her number immediately or tell her u like her, try to see her one or 2 more times. It'll work and u'll start by making her your friend. ensure u have sense of humour.
Good God, man, does that actually work? Starting a conversation with flattery is ridiculous. to me, sha. And the honest truth is I, like stillwater, and many chicks just hate being approached on the street. Better find a way around that.

Your replies to people who have even dared to criticize emphasises the immaturity I suspected when I first read your post. If anyone disagrees, you seem to like resorting to juvenile name-calling and insults. Why? People are giving their opinions. If you didn't want it, you shouldn't have put up the post.

The girl said, 'please', according to you. What did you want her to do again? Prostrate? Get over yourself. If you're pulling levels with mere plate-washing, I feel sorry for her once you people get married. If she's that into your 'alpha male' attitude. Anyway. I can't stand such. Humility is key in a relationship. Someone's asking you for a favour. I fyou don't want to do it, dont do it; and stop whining here.
RomanceRe: Am Sometimes Jealous Of My Boyfriends Female Friends by hanen(f): 7:58am On Feb 07, 2008
advice? get a grip. Jealousy is a self-consuming monster. NOONE likes a paranoid partner. If he has so many female friends and still dated you, it means you've got something they haven't. Appreciate what you have and stop complaining. I've had so many guy friends who complain of their exes being jealous.

I, for one, have more male friends than female, and any guy that can't handle them can find the door. My friends were there before him, and would be there if he leaves. And if he's really close to his female friends, ur bf will feel the same way.

chick, u wont like urself. we actually had a womann that miscarried on camp. and i used to look at all the heavily women at our local government during the year, just dragging themselves around and going through the stress of registration and pasing out and stuff like that, Frankly i could do without that kind of wahala during my own pregnancy. Another woman entered premature labour while we were trying to do our passing out process.
Many people get away with it, but i won't advice it.

FamilyRe: Is A Jobless Man The Head Of His Family? by hanen(f): 11:28am On Jan 18, 2008
yeah yeah , we get it, the man is the 'head'. but as many people here have rightly stated, it's not by 'title' or by 'birthrite'.
Your actions should speak louder than your words. If you provided for your family and brought about the supporting backbbone that the 'head' is supposed to do, you won't and shouldn't have to declare it every other day. those really are the words of an insecure man.

All the guys here are ignoring the fact because it justifies them. Joblessness happens. But The man is lazy. He isn't doing his one, single duty as the 'head', yet he wants to be given credit for it. The same way people will call a woman a bad wife or mother if she tends to not be there for her family and leaves her kids and home to run amok, i don't see why there should be a double standard. The man is proving to be a lousy provider, and thus, he's not much of a 'head'.

Technically, if you want to go Biblical, fine, he's the head, but it's just a word, and unless he respects himself, there's no reason to do it for him.
