I used methodist and of course they included extra bills that had nothing to do with me. I'm still on the matter. I wish I ported initially, they are not straight forward at all.

Oh yes! That is exactly what zero account means. It's a crime, punishable by US law, if you do not finish all the money you traveled with. Peradventure your money mistakenly remains, dash it out before heading home. tongue tongue

Happymum:
Finally gotten the chance to give my testimony, I had my twins @ MIHS a boy and a girl, birth certificate, U.S. Passport and Nigerian visa ready on time and we were back to Nigeria just few days short of one month. It's been a busy period running around with my toddler and the twins but I had to squeeze out time to say a big thank you to this forum . Please my friend needs to go too but is scared she will get denied if she applies for visa with doctores para letters, she applied in January with her husband for vacation and they were denied. She is wondering if to apply with her husband and mother now or just her mother. I told her about this forum and she pleaded that I plead with you guys to advice her. Thanks

quote]i got in to Us via New York JFK to Charlotte in June it was not as easy as people say it here oh as I was delayed for almost an hour but they eventually let me in after seeing all my burden of proof.I got a package from the hospital for 5715 normal delivery, 8730 for CS , but doing labour after getting to 7cm baby heart beat was dropping, the doctor just said he can not risk it that they have to remove the baby Omo Na so I start to cry oh ,but within 5mins they remove my little prince,na so them term her as complicated delivery oh and said I was not eligible for the package again.my dear I got a very huge bill from the hospital for 21567 after begging they gave 30% to make it 15062 just for me and epidural 2990 and 50% discount was given, doctor bill 2480 and baby bill 3400 discount of 30% to make it 2404'pediatric is 1640 with 25%discount, pathology 285 for both me and baby, trying to pay all the little bills and do a payment plan for my self.My point is no matter how ur host is close to you don't listen to them follow ur heart if I had known I would have ported to Houston, elpaso,Atlanta or Chicago but I stayed back in Charlotte listening to my host now am paying all the bills myself she no even answer me.I have learnt my lesson I pray God see me through this gbese.
On the passport that's another issues to do expedient it take 2-4 weeks for it to bye ready had to travel to Atlanta to do it after booking appointment though and I got it same day even did nigga passport which was mailed to me,also got his Ssn too, just waiting to buy his ticket and off I live this country.I thank GOd am alive and he his fine too but I cry everyday for this yeye bill.that is my story ooh.
i really don't think you should book with wakanow if you are going for child birth. Try to call the airlines directly and book a flight that is flexible i.e you can make changes at little or no fee. if you book with a travel coy and you need to change your flight, it could cost you a whole lot. even adding a baby to your own itinerary could be expensive as well. I know travelstart has a package that can make you make changes at no fee but you pay the difference in tax and fares. all this travel agencies book the cheapest flights ticket they can find for you which comes with little or no benefits. you can also try www.priceline.com as well.
Thanks @bigfido

Congratulations @bsharon. Now I can breathe, because I've been scared hearing about additional bills from Methodist Sugarland. Pls can you help me with Dr egbe's contact?.

I'm using same hospital too but I don't have a paed yet. Thanks

quote author=Bsharon post=37102193]

Hello , Sorry for the delay in my part 2.
My bills as follows :
Cesarean section Elective - $3,780 Uncomplicated this package covers mother and baby's stays, for 3 days.

Epidural - $1,500 flat rate for normal delivery or C/S.

Payment for delivery in methodist hospital sugarland is mandatory you pay epidural using or not.it is refundable when you don't use it.

Pediatrician fee - $200 if using Dr Egbe it could be more if u allow the hospital choose a Doctor for your baby.

Lab tests - After delivery mother and baby $91,after a 50% discount.

I decline hearing test for my baby thou I was lucky the pediatrician ran the test then found where I signed declining it. So I got it free grin.

That was all I paid no suprises.
I Got my zero balance from the hospital going through the billing department ask after Sarah ,she was of great help to expedites my zero balance.
