Emekuss: How will they reproduce? You are making an assumption that must reproduce - Should that not be there choice to decide and how has that got to do with you? A lot of times we expect people to behave in some expected way without really considering if they want to. You know there are several ways to reproduce nowadays right and also there are children that needs a loving home. You said call a spade a spade - who defines what a spade should be? Because something wasn’t the norm many years ago doesn’t mean it won’t change. Change is synonymous to nature and evolution is inevitable. I think you need to revisit your African tradition properly. The idea that homosexuality is ‘western’ is based on western import – Christianity. True African culture celebrates diversity and promotes acceptance. African culture is no stranger to homosexual behaviours and acts. For example, in my local language (Yoruba), the word for “homosexual” is adofuro, a colloquialism for someone who has anal sex. It might sound insulting and derogatory, however, the point is there is a word for the behaviour. Moreover, this is not a new word; it is as old as the Yoruba culture itself. In the northern part of Nigeria, yan daudu is a Hausa term to described effeminate men who are considered to be wives to men. While the Yoruba word might be more about behaviour than identity, this Hausa term is more about identity. You have to look and act like a yan daudu to be called one. It is not an identity you can just carry. These words are neutral; they are not infused with hate or disgust. In the Buganda Kingdom, part of modern-day Uganda, King Mwanga II was openly gay and faced no hate from his subjects until white men brought the Christian church and its condemnation. Though King Mwanga is the most prominent African recorded as being openly gay, he was not alone. So please stop spreading hate and false information about the true African culture. Because the true African culture is one that celebrates diversity, promotes equality and acceptance, and recognises the contribution of everyone, whatever their sexuality. |
Romance / Re: Tosin Ojutalayo And Andrew Odong Married In France (Photos) by HapyOne: 7:13pm On May 24, 2023 |
It’s so sad how much hate we have for each other. Two men decided they love each other and went to get married but instead of wishing them a fruitful union and a blessed home, majority embark on insults on them. Let’s not forget the male’s center of gravity his in is ass. Try it and see. It’s so sad that we say people of the same gender being together is unacceptable because of some religion forgetting that the same religion we put on our head was brought to us by foreigners. Why so much hate Nigerians? I thought love has no boundary and people should be free to choose who ever they want to spend their live without rebuke. We need to move away from this so called this is our culture - a culture that makes you hate your neighbours or stops the growth of a society needs to ne rethinked. Change is inevitable and we have seen society that refuse to evolve will be left behind. It’s simple laws of nature. Many years ago, women were treated as second class citizen - No right to vote or do the things men could do but today we now know that’s not acceptable. Let’s put our beliefs aside and think about how we can move forward. How do we solve oppression, fix hunger, address climate problems, build vaccines, eradicate cancer, provide cure for sickle cell patients and make the world a better place. Until we decide to do these together, we will always be a step behind and civilisation will leave us behind. 1 Like |

Do you have anything smaller than that, something you can use as a small storage box. Possible size like : (150-200mm x 120-140mm x 40-60mm)

ghostofsparta:Well I have no more comment about that. Your suppose RID system sounds pretty interesting. Maybe you should share some light on it. If you truly know about how a true stealth system is possible, why don't you throw up some demo? It could change a lot of things in the field of science and warfare. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: All Fighter Jets Are Incomplete by HapyOne: 10:02pm On Apr 08, 2016 |
BLINGZ88:I think you miss the point though. Well it depends on what you mean by stealth...A truly stealth jet as ghostofsparta said, that is a jet that is truly invisible will be immune to air defence system because it won't emit anything so radar won't see it. Well, such technology is years away now but it is possible. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: All Fighter Jets Are Incomplete by HapyOne: 9:53pm On Apr 07, 2016 |
Missy89: Woooo....You just said it all and I hope @ghostlfsparta will understand your own explanation. You have to show your cutting edge weapons to prevent and intimate your adversary, one of the main reason North Korean is pursuing Nuclear weapons. If I give you my best weapon doesn't mean you will beat me with it, don't forget I have the design and I know the limits of my weapon and you are just a user with no full details of it. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: All Fighter Jets Are Incomplete by HapyOne: 5:43pm On Apr 07, 2016 |
ghostofsparta: Are you talking specifically for fighter aircrafts or you also including the likes of bombers and attack aircraft. Well, am going to assume you are speaking for all. You saying all fighters jet aren't complete isn't right I believe especially using stealth ability has the yardstick. All jets where designed for a particular function, some designed for stealth mission, others as just bombers, others for escort mission and several others. A strategic bomber for example the Tu-95 bear doesn't need stealth for anything, that's why it always carry escort with it. A normal attack aircraft might not need a stealth function to take out it's target, though having full stealth will be huge advantage because it's meant to encounter air defense and unlike true air to air fighter jets that have no business with air defense system what will they need stealth for. Apart from stealth, their other things too like speed, maneuverability, small size, payload, and others. The f-35s interesting enough can attack ground targets in areas with air defense without actually encountering the defense systems using some sort of laser guided missiles which can be released far away from the target thus avoiding the risk of air defenses system. When you design something to a particular specs and it works then it's complete and not having a feature that wasn't consider as a requirement shouldn't make it incomplete. For example the Microsoft Hololens is designed or meant to have a true argumented reality unlike other VR headsets but currently they haven't been able to achieve a sustainable auguented reality and if they release it out to consumers like that, then I believe it's incomplete. |

ghostofsparta: If you were talking of the Isrealites I will totally not doubt what you were saying but the US...Nah, they have to show the world what they got. Especially in this era of unending arms race, people need to know what you got so they can buy from you. When the f-35s came out, you know how many countries asked for it. I don't believe the US have any jet higher than the f-35s currently locked somewhere else. People need to know the best you got that's the way you solve the arms race and pour fear into your rivals and even alies self. Why do you think the Russians send their most advanced jet to Syria because they need to sell it and show off its capability in real battle. If you don't show off nobody will buy especially when you are a super power. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Start Of A New World War by HapyOne: 4:30pm On Apr 05, 2016 |
ghostofsparta: Well I appreciate the way you analyze things which I confess is quite brilliant of you. About the ranking thing, US has always been number one most of the time....check military ranking sites and you will see what am saying here. Well Uncle Sam doesn't need to show off but the reality is, out of the top 5 most powerful military nation Uncle Sam hasn't been the one that has showed up most...from it's high watery defense budget, aircraft carriers, stealth technology, Nuclear arsenal upgrade, the F-35s, mine hunting drones/ship and several others. I guess they are the one that show off here, remember the incident at the South China Sea about the unnecessary patrol....it was US showing itself. I do understand your proverb. ghostofsparta: Am pretty sure you know who will win right. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Start Of A New World War by HapyOne: 9:15pm On Apr 04, 2016 |
ghostofsparta:Was trying to avoid commenting but I couldn't resist this one. America possibly have everything superior to others but I really don't think their so-called powerful Military is superior than others. Since they have started their war against terrorism, they haven't really won anything up to date instead have caused more chaos...They took the fight to the talibans for 15 years, Al Shabaab, ISIS in Syria/Iraq and several others but instead of kicking them out those organization seems to be getting stronger. Remember the Vitenam war, they lost too. Just compare their performances to the Russians and you see what am saying. Even Nigeria Military performs better in war against terrorism than the Americans. I think most people measure US army strength based on Hollywood and media propaganda. 6 Likes 1 Share |

It's so painful that at this age a lot of us are pretty still ignorant and some people are actually saying it's the sign of the End time. End time ko Half time ni. If that is real, it's probably as a result of genetics deformity and can happen to any animal. 1 Like |

destino24: Well you could be right about the possible negative consequence of this technology. With my knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning we are way far off in building those things you see in Sci-Fi Movies so their is nothing to worry about here. The day we fully understand how common sense works and successfully create a Artificial Neural Network representation of it then we can possibly create a truly intelligent machine. Well, I hope that will be possible it will be way computational expensive to achieve that. No matter how smart a machine will be their will always be a kill switch, just like humans too have a kill switch. So relax and enjoy the technology why you can. Why worry about what hasn't happened yet. |

Science/Technology / Re: Electronics Components: Search No More.... by HapyOne: 9:21pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
Dekatron: Common guy, You need to understand that their are various version of Arduino Uno with different qualities. I am pretty certain that the Arduino you bought is a pretty fake(clone) one that is why the cost is N3000, the real Arduino boards from Arduino itself is about N7,000 now. So I think is a bit to unfair to say the guy stuffs are expensive, it could be though right. By the way you could also check this guys out to: www.khispa.com they sell DIY/electronics stuff and even offer prototyping service too. Is quite nice you use those things. kudos. |

Angelou: Yeah, have read that book before. Their is actually work on developing anti-matter particles at all these particles accelerators, but cost and technology is not their. The Zero inhabitable thing is possible, because if matter mix with anti-matter nothing is left for example +2 -2 = 0 Some people believe that's what is happening at Bermuda Triangle, that there are some elements of anti matter there. It will be a total destruction if such weapon is created. KO |

Science/Technology / Re: Things You Might Want To Know About Nuclear Weapons (Photos) by HapyOne: 11:37pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Their is a weapon with the potential to be more powerful than Nuclear Bomb. It's called an Anti-Matter Bomb, it's quite expensive and the technology is still lame. The basic equation governing the antimatter reaction is Einstein's famous E = mc^2, but, since a given mass of antimatter needs an equal mass of ordinary matter with which to react, this effectively becomes E = 2mc^2. 3 Likes |

Fulaman198: Think about the history classes you were thought or heard off. If I had to sum up history in one sentence it would be: “Life gets better—not for everyone all the time, but for most people most of the time.” And the reason is ENERGY. For thousands of years, people burned wood for fuel. Their lives were, by and large, short and hard. But when humans started using coal in the 1800s, life started getting better a lot faster. Pretty soon we had lights, refrigerators, skyscrapers, elevators, air conditioning, cars, planes, and all the other things that make up modern life. Is Energy, yeah Energy that made all these possible. Nigeria is Nigeria today because of that thing called Energy, If only we have steady and reliable Power System you know what will happen. Just imagine, for a minute, life without energy. You don’t have a way to run a laptop, mobile phone, TV, or video games. You don’t have lights, heat, air conditioning, or even be on Nairaland reading this comment. But, here in Nigeria I don’t need to imagine. That’s what life is like for us every day. But Just Imagine this....A Life with constant Energy. Control will have it's place sure!! but Power/Energy will always be the determinate. You control nothing when their is no power, I guess I say this because am in both sector. |

Science/Technology / Re: Control Or Power Systems Engineering? by HapyOne: 1:51am On Feb 24, 2016 |
Fulaman198: You think so. Do you think all your controls will work without energy. No matter how digitized or tech-oriented the world will be, power isn't negotiable. So I guess Power Engineering is as important as the Controls. 1 Like 1 Share |

I believe their are a lot of ways to ask for funds from investors and others instead of publicizing your idea or product like that if it truly works. Getting funding won't be a problem if what he claim is true. Their are a lot Angel Investors in Lagos, kickstarter is their too, TIL, seedstars, ideaHub, grants and several others. Nice one though. |
Science/Technology / Re: Are We Alone In The Universe? by HapyOne: 1:57am On Feb 03, 2016 |
dabosuker: I will like to call it a more advance science. Imagine what could not be done in decades ago, for example a plane that could make you fly if someone could do that centuries ago he or she will be called a witch or wizard but now such is possible and it is called science. It is magic when we don't understand it but science when we do. 1 Like |
