The rich who have funds to last 40 years lockdown are those clamouring for extension. Even the struggling few who have half bag of rice and N200,000 under the bed want extension.

The poor who had meagre paying jobs or no jobs at have been hungry before the lockdown. People who haven't stolen before will not hesitate to join a gang to keep body and soul together.

The rich is scared of SARS 19. The poor are scared of starvation 20. The rich don't care if the poor starve to death that is why armed forces are on the road to kill you if you come out.

Govt lifts lockdown for the rich (WHO HAVE MONEY) to go shopping. The fight against covid 19 in Nigeria is a scam. For a country that can't have credible census talk less of elections, you should know all those figures they are putting up are fictitious.

This is looting time. They want that $7billion from China amongst others. Govt don't give a flying Bleep about you or me.

So, you can either starve at home or gather yourselves en masse and storm govt house. The choice is yours.

KANU might not be one of the best orators on the planet but he certainly delivers tons of mind boggling content that shouldn't be ignored. The Jubril of Sudan issue would have stirred up national uprising in saner climes but here, it's swept under carpet with insults to boot.

The face of Buhari before the one we see now is clearly older by at least 20yrs. Palm lines are different. Do I add hole in the neck fiaso? Or the CONDOLENCE message given by QUEEN ELIZABETH herself on the 7th Feb 2017?

Has anyone attacking him bothered to investigate these claims? No! But its much easier to deride him with insults. Even if he is right , you don't care. No wonder some white folks call us daft and incapable of ruling ourselves. Even those pulling these atrocities do come online to see what the ppl think of their actions and they would fall of their chairs in laughter when they realise how dumb majority of the populace truly is.

I do realise that some throwing insults at this man are paid...the rest who aren't paid are dumber than a sack of hammers.

Truth be told.. I wonder how many Nigerians don't have a saving to sustain them for just one or two months total lockdown so we can all beat this virus fast and go back to our normal lives. Everybody is complaining they are hungry, it leaves me wondering what the people did with their earnings. Does it mean Nigerians don't save up? Does it mean many Nigerians doesn't set funds aside for emergencies and worst case scenarios? These set of people have money to buy data and be flying their account numbers everywhere all over the internet. It's shameful to see. Don't get me wrong, there are real people who actually deserve this help and palliative but when majority wants to take advantage, then it's a problem. Now, you see the mentality of an average Nigerian; Entitlement.. Give such people public funds to manage, they will manage it with same mentality they have managed their personal funds, no savings and in situations of emergencies, they borrow or look for aids. Now, what's the difference between us and our leaders in relation to how we manage our resources? Aren't we who we criticize?

Now, those people who survived the Nigeria civil war for more than 3 years, how did they do it? Please let us collectively assist the government to curb the virus. The government have honestly failed us but we must be sincere also with ourselves and how we conduct our lives. Aviod going out, stay home let's atleast curb this virus and our lives will go back to normal.

We should all stop putting pressures on government to relax the lockdown knowing fully well what this virus can do. Let's allow these guys get it right because if finally the lockdown is lifted now, how will a place like lagos fare? Or we want people to start dropping dead on the streets or maybe overburden the medical practitioners? C'mon let us think guys.

Oga,

Its obvious you have food and money to last you for at least 2 years of lockdown. Its not the same for others. Furthermore, it appears you either have a well paid job or thriving business that is why you wonder why others don't have savings. There are people (even graduates) who work for less than 40k a month...they feed, transport, pay rent and perform other duties from that stipend. Where is the savings? How about labourers who earn 2k a day, spend at least 1k during the hard work with little or nothing to take back home?

I have noticed that ppl who term themselves fortunate today tend to look down on others. I have also lived with a guy worth over N300 mil fall to the extent he couldn't pay electricity bills. Make I no even talk my own.

The fact that you have it good today doesn't make you smarter. You are just lucky. Bad hands never touch you. People are hungry out there. Be grateful.

Togo is running 7 to 7 lockdown....facemasks, distancing, go make your money and be home on time arrangement.

These leaders are NOT fighting covid 19...they are ready to extend it till Jan 2022 to buy more looting time plus solve the mess in aso rock. Why are blacks so selfish? The only people who support this lockdown are THE RICH or comfortable. There are people out there who go for days without food. You think such a person gives a damn about covid 19?

Blacks are too docile. That is why they put armed forces on the street to kill you if you aren't ready to die of hunger.

Even if hunger kills 100million Nigerians, they will still keep extending while hoping for more free money from China to loot. It's almost 3 weeks into the lockdown... The few tests says it all.

Blacks are cowards and will die as cowards.

Why wish your fellow being evil? Because his colleagues perpetrate evil, he should be cast away too? Do you know the sacrifice they are doing? You clearly have no iota of idea. You don't know. You sit at the comfort of your home while they're people in thick bushes keeping together this nation but what do you wish them in return? Evil. Smh.

You are either a sympathetic force man or you have never fallen victim to their senseless brutality... And by the way, my family is stuffed with almost every force you can think off so I think a know a WHOLE lot about what I am talking about. Your sympathy for them is the same as the pity I used to have to robbers facing an angry mob till I got robbed!!!

We have no armed forces Oga...if Nigeria goes to war with Ghana today, they will be woefully defeated. We are no longer giant of Africa and the forces today are nothing like the ECOMOG troops of yesterdays.

All these timberland wearing boy scouts are interested in is monthly alert, latest peppersoup joints and impregnating girls up and down like its going out of fashion.

Tell me I'm wrong! Just see so many embarrassing pictures of Book Haram humiliating them, tying them up like rams!!!

Furthermore, most (if not ALL) armed personnel in Nigeria today enlisted for reasons NOT connected with protecting their motherland e.g unemployment, gun protection, means to oppress, etc and they got in through money, godfathers, etc. How can you expect loyalty and discipline from such beasts? Look at how they torture and kill cos of covid 19? Na so oyibo teach una? Look at those cowards posting videos threatening to rape mothers, wives, etc.

Do such animals deserve respect? They want to be feared NOT respected. How many of these cowards would voluntarily enlist to fight Boko Haram? None!!!

This is a pity, that I don't feel anything for a fellow human, because of what his uniform represents.

Correct!!!

Personally, news of them getting killed in the most brutal circumstances fills me with joy. If you have ever been drilled wrongly by these cowards in uniform, you will realize Nigeria has no Armed Forces...at best, they are glorified touts. See how Chad did in six days what they can't do in over 12 years inspire of all the billions of naira.

All this talk of "experience" is part of Nigeria's problem. How old and experienced was Anthony Enahoro, Adaka Boro, Ojukwu,Nnamdi Azikwe, Obasanjo, Ken Saro Wiwa etc when they became relevant in our political space? It's the same "experienced" people of 40+ years ago that are running the nation aground today.

Fashola was one of the youngest governors when he assumed office and the world saw Lagos transform overnight especially oshodi. I think the Sowore's of this world should be given a chance. Personally, I don't think anyone above 45 should run for president and 40 downwards for governor. Young minds+Fresh ideas is what Nigeria needs not centenarians whose experience lies solely in looting and planting ethnic/tribal division.

The OP and a few others are in law enforcement agencies...I respect what the OP has done but in saner climes, I doubt if he would have made it into the DSS after screening. We have little to no database in Nigeria.

All the same great work...SAYNOTOCULTISM.

So long as tribalism and religious sentiments play a dominant role in politics, the suffering will move from bad to worse. Ppl don't care about who is looting the treasury so long as its "their person". Elections come and they vote for old men who have nothing to offer except campaign rice and N1,000. And the zombies expect a functional govt afterwards.

PDP and APC are the same thing...no difference. If PDP comes into power again 2023, expect worse...mark my words. The imbeciles who my African brothers choose to vote don't give a $hit about you. This lockdown should open the eyes of the most daft civilians by now...even in eti osa LGA, palliatives are given only to " indigenes" and APC members.

There are reasons why democracy is called "govt of the ppl". The masses give the blueprint, the leaders handle implementation. Simple.

Over here, we collect N500, 4 cups of rice and a yard of Ankara and expect good leadership becos the elect is " our tribe".
Politics / Re: Why Palliatives Failed To Reach You by harakiri(m): 11:18pm On Apr 08, 2020
This is what I keep saying all the time....No govt on earth will act until the citizens react. America, France and China didn't get to where they are by collecting rice and oil during elections yet expecting a functional govt afterwards. Their govt acts on the will of the ppl not the other way round...they seek the support of the ppl before venturing into uncharted territory.

The way Nigeria's govt has treated its ppl during this lockdown would have triggered violent protests and even civil war in saner climes but hey as fela sang :

"I no wan die, papa dey for house, I wan build house, I jus build house...."

We all want the best of life without the rigors that come with it. Sowore was locked for months...what did our youths do? They were more interested in mundane issues like bbnaija...some even lampooned him on nairaland among other media forums. In other climes, youths would be outside DSS office with Molotov cocktails ready to burn the place down and from there proceed to Aso rock to serve them the business.

That's how IT WORKS. No govt will do $hit for you until you prove your willingness to kill and be killed for what you believe in. For example, Katsina govt has lifted ban on Friday mosque prayers becos a police station and vans got burnt down by irate youths....

Get the picture now?

People have become more self centered than ever. No one cares anymore e.g

A guy crashes his bike into the gutter, has injuries and bleeding all over yet all ppl do is whip out their phones, take pathetic pictures and upload to Facebook (while laughing at him by the way).

A promising female pilot dies at a young age and when the news hits nairaland, the first poster thanks god for being the first to comment regardless of the topic ( I wonder when this forum came down to this really).

While other countries provide for their ppl before lockdown, ours is busy politicizing and looting the treasury dry while keeping ppl hungry at home with armed men on the streets ready to kill for and disease that hasn't killed up to 10 ppl (meanwhile malaria, thypoid and hunger kills thousands in this country every day and they don't give a damn).

The list is endless.

This is after the so called best infantry failed in 9 attempts in 10 years with billions down the drain. All Nigerian forces are good at is intimidating harmless civilians. Bloody cowards in uniform. The Chadian forces are not even equipped as our army yet they have demystified the once impregnable sambisa forest.
