Does that happen in your school too?

Someone submits an empty script because he wants to fail, the VC orders that he MUST BE PASSED SO HE CAN BE PUSHED OUT OF THE SYSTEM?

Chei! The Zoo eh!
It's very possible. I was having a drink with some friends yesterday and One guy mentioned that systems men in his uni were graduated in that manner to ensure sustainability of peace.

I was a good boy and did what I had to do to graduate quickly and nicely wink

How do you ensure that somebody 'swiftly passes' an exam when he delibrately wants to fail? huh

Please help me understand.
He fails the exam in his written script, he is recorded with a pass mark which is transferred to the registry and he is accordingly recorded as having passed. When you pass, you move to the next level until you are pushed out. It is not rocket science.

What this man is saying might be true but can't be used in court. If truly he has a lot of carry over and the school just passed him in any case, the competent court and school have right to withdraw his certificate. Is just like a case of somebody who gain admission with a pass in mathematics to study accounting with waiver or negligence or favour from the school management, if he goes for an interview after graduating from the school, the panel will certainly ask him/her about the deficiency he has in mathematics to study accounting which require it before gaining admission. If he's employ in government establishment, when it is time for mass sacking due to lack of availability of funds, he will be one of those to be considered first for retrenchment. Even with his pass in mathematics he can't register for ICAN. So, in this case I don't see him escaping this certificate issue.
Which school is more competent to discuss his certificate or its withdrawal than the issuing university senate.

Any other school may refuse him PG studies but in the records of his university, he is a graduate.

I do not quite like the guy, but facts are sacrosanct

Just asking....why would she be jailed? These are two consenting adults. The deceased's wife has a right of action in damages for adultery only. Except it can be proved that the lady that forked the man to death took specific steps to cause his death. In the ordinary course of things, sex doesn't kill except the person has a heart condition. You guys are simply not getting it.

The unsuspecting Habila was touched by their story and in the process of dialling a number that was given to him, the 2nd convict (Godfrey Emmanuel), brought out a knife and stabbed him on the head, while Tope Abiodun escaped with the phone.

This is the crux of the judgment, not the article stolen. Also consider the circumstances, a man takes pity on you, gives you his phone to make a distress call in the middle of no way, you turn round and attack him.

The judge is also human and this judgment is to encourage people to keep helping when they can, and discourage criminals from taking advantage of good spirited individuals.

Our system didn't decay anything,
Most (99 .9%) of those that came out with first class, are no where tto be found.
They are either one in small office ricieving peanuts .
Where are all those that use to hide their work in class?, let them come and show me what they have achieve with it.
99% of those that didn't have carry over then, are now waiting for him every morning in his office , to claim #school mate

#someone that has #class and is not make #waves with it, #is that one first-class?
Make it first and let the world now judge you. Do not teach the younger ones in this forum that hard work does not pay, that is exactly what you are insinuating. I recall what we were told when we first entered the uni. One Ghanaian lecturer then, I think Prof Jengwe or so said, aim to make a first class, if you miss it, you will be closer to a first than if you aimed for comfortable second as you may drop to a lower second or a third.

Those words on marble have carried me this far in all my endeavours and will continue to propel me to higher heights.

So if someone have a carryover in skool means he didn't graduate or he can't write it next session for a reseat and I am quite aware that even when you have carryovers in your final year you can actually wave about 6 units.

Meanwhile does that mean the whole people in that class are dull with CGPA of less than 3.00?

My story: Been the fact that in my 100 level in skool those days I got GPA of 1.8 which was one of the lowest in my class. I was even called by some lecturers who gave me advise to sit up. But today I am a product of 2'1 with a CGPA of 3.78. One thing I notice in life is when you are serious to achieve what you want you will definitely get it if you put in all your effort and do away with unserious people.

I knew I would have made 1st class if I was serious rom the beginning.
I share your views on the academics, not on Dino.

I was ill throughout my first year and made an overall third class grade

In my second year I notched up and beefed up

In my third year I was already coasting with a comfortable second class grade, albeit at a lower level

In my final year, i came out with a brilliant second upper

If you refuse to be held back, nothing can hold you back.

Interestingly in my third year, i went haywire, joined all the clubs and gangs, I was coming to class and writing tests straight from one night activity or another, be it club, party, etc. I was so confident I will leave with a second class lower. But I did not lose sight of the possibilty of a second upper and then ...voilla....it happened.

The rest is now history. I have only grown from strength to strength to the Glory of God.

community issue is really bad in this southern part... a company wants to do a project to improve a community, the leaders of the community will ask for settlement over something that will improve you... youths will come and say you must employ us to do the job and they don't have the technical expertise at the end of the day the contractor is frustrated...
i know a community in rivers ,they came to fix their bad road community leaders came for settlement, youths came for settlement at the end the contractor's funds were little he just did one rubbish project and left, the next year rain don clear the road finish... idiots..
another case a company came to a community they wanted to do do a project for the community as part of their social commitments, the community no electricity they decided to connect them to the power grid the community said no give us money instead...
I can relate with this. I recall somewhere in bayelsa we went to mount a mast. Those guys gave us 5 minutes to leave without any discussion. While i was trying to explain that we brought development, they all brought out thuraya phones and told us they needed no such thing and since our 5 minutes had expired, i collected a slap and a flying tackle, our mopol had his gun seized while the regional manager was beat till he fainted and they beat him till he revived and then they released the mopol gun after I foked out 75k. That was the last time I went to their locality. Backward nation from head to tail.

All I know is that in the fullness of time, water go find hin former level. I know nothing about Oceanography or even Geography but I have always rationalized that water occupies a certain volume space. If we keep compressing that space (as we are doing with reclamations) a time will come when the water will burst at the seams to find its former space. I only pray i wont be drinking beer around bar beach that day. It will come with such a burst and fury that everything on its way will go down, i mean everything.

Well, if that it is correct, then may be I will blame them less, but yet, Arik? Not sure I will go after all. I will rather restructure the appointment or go by road. You could actually get there before the Arik flight, that is if they eventually fly at all.

The Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang in Plateau State on Sunday was in a state of chaos as passengers prevented the takeoff of a flight.

According to reports, Arik Air sent a 70-passenger plane to convey over 140 passengers who booked tickets for Lagos.

A passenger said tickets were booked for Sunday 1pm to Lagos and they were surprised when Arik sent a plane that could only accommodate about 70 passengers.

The passenger said the small plane had landed at 1:15 pm but passengers who were not given boarding pass blocked the check-in, and insisted that no one would leave unless the airline was able to convey all the passengers.

By 3:43pm, the passengers reached an agreement to allow all those with connecting international flights, women and children and the elderly to board the first flight while others waited for another plane which they claimed Arik official assured them would take off from Kaduna to Jos.

I have no sympathy for the passengers. Who in his right senses flies Arik these days?

I have said it severally, book an Arik ticket for me for free and dash me money join, I would not go with them. Chances are that the flight might never take off before the business intended is closed, so why bother.
