legalpanic:I guess it was also written after interacting with ALL lawyers in the country present and future. Let me again use a live example to discredit that spurious claim. If i am briefed, my training already gives me clarity of the nature of action, whether in tort , trusts, crime, family law, etc. I carry out a synopsis of the matter with a review on case law, and i provide an opinion, unsolicited to advise whether to proceed or not. I will never go to court with clear knowledge that i have an incurable bad case, however where a client insists because he needs time to perform or perfect some acts, we can use the technicalities of the law to buy time. Recently we needed to sue a law firm that brought a garnishee Proceedings against a company. We briefed one of the most brilliant and prolific law firm around. Their representatives walked of the meeting with assurance that they will prosecute the action. A few days later they came back to share negative thoughts about the possible success of the action. They cited a case law as their authority. I conceded to their thoughts but reviewed that authority some more and came out still with the belief that i can get justice in that matter. Not all lawyers will lie to you about you having a good case even though the relevant law allows me to take up your matter without first adjuging you guilty. It is so tiring trying to to teach a non lawyer and worse, a brain dead inconsequential bent on defending points that only exist in his head. I can pick on most of the points there to discredit them and disabuse the minds of right thinking men, sadly many people here fall below that test. I have recopied and pasted this again. I hope you can read and understand. If after having read the above you asked me to go and study law, then you have a warped understanding of the language known as english. Truth is, it is becoming tiring to engage with you. You are dull in understanding, honestly. |
legalpanic:I always sound bitter? I am even laughing as i am typing this...You are so confused. Please take your confusion elsewhere. I should pick the entire bollocks out there and start countering them seriatim, I do not know how to spoon feed adults. If you cannot make head or tail out of my post, then just bury it and move on. |
legalpanic:You either did not read my response or you could not comprehend. Either way, i am not able to help you. Accept my sympathy though. |
SweetBoyFriend:Well, I locked mine with a pattern that I cant recall what i drew, I have hard pressed the power button severally and the phone just goes off and comes back on with the same patterns showing. I do not even mind cleaning out everything in the process but nothing is even getting cleaned out. I will actually like to be guided a lil more. I do not have the time to go to SLOT. |
Disproportionate federal character but Nigeria was fully represented. I can't say more than that for now. |
Badgers14:Primarily it's the cost of the car. If you want to insure for higher or lower, it's up to you. Insurance cover is yearly, to the best of my knowledge. When you seek quarterly premium payment, then it's the 3% of the cost of the car ÷ by 4 quarters. You can talk to an insurance person for further clarifications Of course third party insurance is flat at N5k per annum. I was discussing comprehensive |
Badgers14:I used Cornerstone before but now insure with AIICO. Premium is about 3 % of the cost of vehicle and with AIICO i can spread the payment quarterly. I understand AXA mansard is also very professional |
Badgers14:Simple example. 3 years ago my elder bro was getting married and i travelled with 2 vehicles, one suv and an avensis. My cousin took the SUV in and out of the villa, sedans for me are faster plus he carried loads and a few relations, i needed to travel light aLongside other personal mischiefs . While he was returning back to Lagos, he called to say some guy hit him from behind and he actually went ahead to hit another vehicle in front. All parties agreed to carry their cost. When I got back to Lagos, i informed my insurer of the accident, sent pictures, got a mechanic to provide price quotation. The insurer using their own mechanics tried to negotiate the costs, we came to an agreement, money was paid to me and the car was fixed. It is still in my house as I type on top of my bed. I also had the option of allowing them to tow the car away for fixing.Bro, insurance works if you insure with the right ones besides your premium payment must be up to date. What happens is that people stop paying premiums and then rely on past years premium payments to ask for reprieve. It doesn't work that way. |
pesinfada:I laugh. I was one of the best science students in my secondary school. When I write JAMB, it was in the era when any combination of courses could be used and guess what, i combined only sciences in JAMB entrance examinations and scored 360 out of a total of 400. While in year one studying GSS as it's called in my uni, the second semester when we were taken through science courses to enable all students get a full rounded knowledge, i scored top of the first year students. My point, i studied law because I loved it and still do, i knew the potentials and i wasn't wrong. If i had to live my life again, i will still be a lawyer. We know who the real dummies are. I can conveniently discuss your field even if at the peripheral level, but you cannot scratch the surface on my field. Mental midgets and academic lilliputs should actually be restricted to reading without commenting |

pesinfada:Were you refused admission to study law? You are sounding very bitter against that profession. |
Deeypeey:Weldone sir. |
Badgers14:They are ignorant. I don't exchange words with anyone in such a traffic situation. My insurer pays the claims. I only notify them, send pictures of the damage and get their consent to fix. I get my claims cheque in 3 days. But it has to be a reputable insurer not some of these funny ones. It could also be they hold third party cover and the other party does not believe that he will be sorted out. My thoughts. |
Badgers14:No need to beg if he has a comprehensive insurance cover. Since its a total loss, his car will be replaced and the underwriter will salvage the remains of the car, insurance provides peace of mind. I am a living testimony |
Genea:Good judgment call. |
peacettw:You obviously married the one that doesn't know his onions. You find them in all professions. Some of us are exceptions and don't fit into the mold. Either be a lawyer or marry one, the benefits are unlimited. |
Genea:Egocentric bastards? All lawyers? Philosophy 101 teaches something about faulty generalisation. You must be rolling with some proud persons or perhaps you need to search yourself. Note that I have carefully chosen my words to avoid sounding abusive. If you must respond, keep it clean. |
rozayx5:I thought unemployment is a national phenomenon. Is it peculiar to lawyers alone? Just asking |
agbonkamen:Omo me self look up your profile pic, as i notice your face, my lolly-pop shrink. I NO fit give you sef even if i am drunk to stupor....Na joke o |
ernesty20:You are happy you are not spending on hair. That is pure selfishness. Appreciate her for things not connected with money |
Outofsync: 'WICKIED'[size=16pt] |
Buseryomi94:In the Nigerian romance space, you hardly find this level of gut. You just stood out like a diamond in the rough. I applaud your spirit. |
dingbang:Chizoxxx..... |
EastGold:I rep back seat for Life. Easier to disturb the class and in solidarity no one will mention you, worst case, a portion of the class is punished. That was in Secondary School. Also it was a lot easier to jump out from the window when that Maths teacher is coming to teach Great circles and small circles (Latitude and longitude....omo, those teachers sef...forming plenty geometry). In the Uni, it was the same only that boys no dey jump window, you can quietly walk out from the back door if the lecturer had stopped making sense to you. |
ovieigho:This explanation falls flat on its face. Some risks are reasonable. Any risk that in the event of the unexpected happens, you suffer total and terminal loss is not a risk, it is simply suicidal. The only way I will take such a risk is if i am ready to commit suicide, then the probability of success in crossing an ocean in a vessel becomes a better alternative, reason is either way, I would have died anyways. But what do I know, they may have decided that its better to die than be alive in their country. One thing is certain, at the moment of death, ALL, each and every one of them must have had a moment of regret, had i known...... |
Nigerians though. You dress to fit occasions. It is only a mad man that will don a jacket to the beach or jean to play football. At the beach you wear bikini or swim suits that fit, in a football pitch your wear jersey, when you are running you can do track suit, at home you dress as appropriate. What is wrong with a person at the beach wearing a bikini? Like someone said, would what she wore explain why the dollar is exchanging at almost N600? Misplaced priorities indeed. |
Nma27:After contacting you, a cockroach goes through a process of cleaning itself from the human contact. Think about it. |
mzoly:How much is that beautiful toy..... I am interested. Sorry, one thing, will it pass the airport check that throws back lighters? |
napoleon77:I was impressed reading that stuff about smart pornsters. Man suppose humble oo, i swear. |
owobokiri:From day one, i said that this was the plan of jagaban, no body believed me. Lets watch and see. Na dem dem |
shamecurls:Dummy Animals with horns are invited to a meeting, the snail also crawled along.... ![]() |
