This is quite like how my best friend back at uni days found his wife. We were just sitting in his car at the car park of our admin block when some girls drove and parked beside us. The Ukranian soldier was really sloppy and it cost him his life. He appeared injured or atleast disoriented because his movements weren't steady and he fell while approaching the enemy's hideout before the main confrontation. He was probably tired and weak.

He was also heavily stacked with gear (grenade, ammo, even a camera) which is not suitable for close quarter combat because you give the enemy more leeway to grab and maneouvre you during the tussle and you carry more weight which is a restriction on you.
