The little dip you see comes from market sluggishness and my top-up. I advise you to top up once a month to avoid system backlog and a few glitches.
This is your Equity Mutual Fund with CardinalStone, yeah?

What is the total percentage gain on your entire portfolio currently (%)? Any month it beats the percentage gain on my portfolio (I’m trading stocks by myself), I will open an account.

Stanbic MMF at 15.63% is not encouraging at all. I currently have 176M naira in it. I am contemplating moving to a different asset manager.
.

Move to a well vetted competitor.

At that amount like someone rightfully said, you would be a VIP with likes of CardinalStone. Why should you stay for even 1% less interest (which is a lot with your kind of capital) and still have to deal with operational inefficiencies and no zero value add or status that should with having such a capital.

At that amount, if you tell your operator “Jump”; the only question they should ask you is “how high?”; right now Stanbic doesn’t know you exist talk less of hearing you speak. Iike i said even 1% difference is a lot, I’d advice you move. Stanbic is getting too mediocre in every aspect.

I felt the same when I was with them.

Not one sell or buy mandate was done while I was with them.
angry

I don’t have energy to be fighting someone to do their job, a service i am paying the one of the highest brokerage fees % in Nigeria for.

It is ridiculous of Stanbic Brokers, a stain on its executives. It is like their goal is that every part of their business delivers suboptimal value to it customers. I am heavily leaverage with them, from pension to mutual funds. It all just sub-optimal value in comparison to their competitors angry

***********************************************

Please someone should give me a review of First Securities Brokers, i plan to move my entire account to them and Stanbic. I am praying them try to hold me with a ridiculous charge so i can lawyer-up and in the stretch recoup lost revenue from mandates not acted upon angry
Foreign AffairsRe: UAE Cuts Scholarships To UK Universities Citing Risk Of Islamist Radicalization by Harddiskng(m): 8:47pm On Jan 09
Racoon:
UK and Europe is still forming being woke while terrors have fully nestled down in their domain. It is good that the UAE is even prioritizing national security over political correctness. The UAE therefore has a lower tolerance for radical Islam than the UK.

Meanwhile, Israel seems to be the only country that knows and understands the minds of Islamic terrorists better than the ignorant West.
UAE that will not even take in their fellow Muslims from countries with high terrorism prevalence, just leave UK to be forming woke and tolerance.

It’s a matter of time, UK will fall.

Equity mission accomplished this week. Baba God, I thank you.
Stanbic just dull my steeze.

Dropped the ball on strategic buys. I would have consolidated my profit position madly if they just did their jobs.

I am real mad right now, I should be able to sue stanbic brokers for something like this angry

I left them sinceeeeeeeee. They seem to care only about the big players with big money.
Plus customer care is zero.
Choi.

I had a feeling Stanbic brokers was shelving my mandate for that of big players i just didn’t have proof.

They are forgetting that it’s small boys of yesterday that will become big men tomorrow. Issokay.

This their deplorable service state is getting serious.

I don't know if this is related to your situation...
I first received this mail late week.

So Stanbic Brokers is saying have issues for a full week?!

They should just package their bags and go on holiday in January naa.

E Bros,go and register with Morgan Capital .Real time online trading, moderate commission.
Looks i have to leave anything Stanbic. Time to go back to Morgan, I have an account with them already and they are more hungry.

I don’t know the reason for the recent laxity the whole Stanbic business is displaying.

Mutual fund ❌ Underperforming yields
Brokers ❌ Zero traction on transactions

When you don chop belle, na sleep remain naa. Issokay.

****************************

See the screenshot below to see the wide gap between brokerage fees Stanbic is charged (yet deteriorating services) and Morgan Capital.

I have said it before you can charge higher so far your services are fantastic but the moment your service take a nose dive, people would stop tolerating your nonsense and leave you in a ditch.

send them serious mail or call and tell them u will be moving out your portfolio to another broker. The will begin to behave well
Brother i am starting to learn civility would get you no where.

Seven digits in mandate value and blue people have not bought even one unit of stock. Some of the stocks have even fallen below my price limit sef. While most have appreciated like mad cry

I just tire for this my blue shield broker.

Their trades they always sweet but most times e go com be like say the whole company travel and nobody dey office. Long silence. Email mandate no reply, App mandate no traction.

I thought when you input my mandate on their app it goes directly to the Ngx trading floor application.

They are just lucky i am a long term investor, anybody doing JIJO for don reach their office scatter everywhere.

My broker just dey fall my leg. Half of my portfolio value is cash, fulfill mandate , mba! sad

EquityM:
The equity fund market is currently performing well; yesterday, it earned more than 67,000 naira with my 4 million capital. MMFs provide stability, whereas equity promotes growth. There is no drama surrounding interest rates or dividends.
Before i started my stock trading journey, I had to evaluate going equity fund route or trading myself. I am justified to see that trading by one-self beats equity funds.

I have half your portfolio value in stocks but i am making x5. Going by this if equity funds YTD 2026 - 50% i am confident i’d make more than times 2.

Actually, I did MMF with them but did that in the bank. There is a website I'm using to track the investment but you know using app will be better than logging in through website.

I tried downloading from playstore but I keep seeing different apps FBN Edge, FMB mobile, etc, so I'm confused on which one is the appropriate app.

Thank you
FBN Edge.

You might need to reach out to customer care for profiling. I can be remember being profile for the app and their website differently. I am not sure if they have merge both, it’s been a while i used their website.

I would have agreed with u here because I don't know your financial power.
Then I have tried it in the past and now I don't fancy it.It makes you have little of everything which makes you lose out in the big performing stocks. So I have been rebalancing to have concentration on not more than 12 in investment portfolio. Then have another portfolio for jijo games
It is working perfectly for me plus i don’t any concentration risk. Plus it’s to happen with my approach, I don’t plan for sell any for a very long time. I only keep consolidating them, any month they fall under the top pick for the month.

Well all man has to follow their conviction, there is no hard and fast route; in this market when nobody has the power to tell the future decisively.

How do I get FBNQ App, and is the app stable please? Thank you
Same way you get every other app, app store or play store.

I can’t define “stable” in this context, my own is so far i can carry any transaction as intended; everything is as right as rain.

ManAdii:
I stated my goal already
With your goal in mind, you don’t need anybody to tell you what you should add or remove.

For instance i would likely have upwards of 40 stocks in my portfolio every year grin why? It is based on my approach and objective - which is buy the most discounted stock with the best long term value, every month. No matter what that stock is.

Everybody can have his/her pattern. No be the same shoe size everybody dey wear. Stick with your conviction.

Poverty dey ,greed and laziness dey. These girls make lots of money from prostituting annually, they will rather use the money to do bbl,buy bags ,shoes and hair, instead of investing it ,and resigning from the olosho industry..
Greed. It is pure greed.

You just said it all, buy buy buy. Millions pass through their accounts yet they have nothing to show for it.

Wealth gotten by vanity should diminish!

However, a soft landing is that you can pay your cash (dollars) into their Stanbic dollar collection account. So investors are not restricted to only transferring to fund their dollar fund account, which will remove the charges involved in transferring funds from a dom account. This is still a better method compared to what is obtainable with other fund managers.
Good info.

Looks like i’d finally go with norrenberger dollar fund, I’d open Stanbic dollar account in the coming week.

Standard chartered is asking for too much, just for me to maintain Stanbic dollar fund and offering me too little.

It would be in Stanbic Asset Managers’’ best interest to look for a way to influence StanChart, so that their clients can keep their StanChart dollar accounts without the N7.5 million minimum investment requirement.

All good here for myinvestar, had this issue with my Norrenberger app and web, the day I was lucky enough to get into it, I withdrew all my funds
Thank you for this review.

I am considering Norrenberger with all this Standard Chartered wahala.

Then again, to be fair reflecting on my experience with FBNQ App, your inability to login might have to do with your network. Before i always struggle to log-in it was later I realized if the network isn’t strong enough, it won’t log me in.

I dont really know what the furore around the new tax law is. The law is mostly targeted at the rich and comfortable. Almos lt every poor or struggling nigerian will either pay no tax or experience reduction in tax. If you are impacted by the tax law, it means you earn well by nigerian standard(circa 20m a year)

The electronic money transfer levy is not a new tax. They just shifted the burden from receiver to sender. So no vendor should ask you to add N50 to any transfer anymore since you will be paying

I knw there are some fears around the indirect taxes but even those do not impact the masses. Na all of una with millions in Capital and money market the guy is asking to pay more 😂
This is why illiteracy is a threat to Nigeria.

The people that have no money, that the new tax law will favor are the ones making the most noise.

Is Stanbic MMF trying to whining me.

I have started shorting my Stanbic MMF position and moving to FBN MMF and Stocks, only to see this lol

I hate whining, I have garnered energy for follow through and follow through it is. If they keep up good rates i would consider sending a generous sum there each month till the end of 2026, God willing.

That's wickedness
I don’t know if its lack of wisdom.

Most ladies nowadays don’t know how to preserve peace and keep a home.

irumole1975:
This is actually okay (I’m not being sarcastic). If I was the one paying the rent and buying groceries, I’ll stop doing that too as a man. If rent is due I expect her to pay. If she pays and she’s not okay with me staying there, I’ll move out. I’m not angry, I just stop investing in what doesn’t benefit me.

I’ll take my money and start eating out.
This is how most men think, A woman starts conflict in her home and she don’t back down from it. The woman better be ready to take responsibility of being the head of the family soon.

There can’t be two captains in a boat.

Feminism is an agenda of hell to break-up as many homes as possible, yet foolish keep falling into the trap.
