Good day all, I am directing this message to all trv hopefuls who applied for student Visa from January to February that haven't gotten a response from cic should start sending mail using the webform to communicate with cic to inquire about the status of their application as the current processing time is peg at 9 weeks , which I beleive would have exceeded the current processing time And according to cic you are permitted to send a mail to them when it has exceeded the normal processing time One love Keep the positive spirit going It shall end it praise |

For your program this is the requirement Entrance Requirements Grade 12 English Pure Math 30 or Math 30-1 Chemistry 20 Physics 20 It didnt request for a bachelor certificate, give them what they request For grade conversation consult Google, to know what your scores is equivalent to Canada education grade point And for two sitting NAIT uses the result with the highest score point, so out of your two sitting which one is very strong But you can risk it by sending the two results there is no harm in trying dreamland24: Good day Ma/sir, Please I wish to apply for a program (Alternative Energy Technology) in NAIT with my Bachelor Degree Certificate in Civil Engineering, second upper division. Will my application be considered? Thanks for your kind and quick response. |

I hope you all had a great weekend! May this new week shall feature approvals and medical requests in Jesus name... Amen
We now have a sample of 42 hopefuls but i want to encourage those that have not shared their timeline to please do. Let us contribute to this wonderful thread as we have benefited from it. This is the only way the thread can grow. For those that have submitted their timeline but haven't shared all the information we need, please help in sharing the full details (especially school resumption month and whether or not your application is new).
Also, if you guys have any ideas on how we can present this information better or what else we can add to it or remove from it, I am always open any adjustment that'll make this better. |

Guru in the house I will like to ask this question When I applied for my study permit on the 7 th of March 2019 the processing time was 23 weeks The following week it drop to 18 weeks, But currently its 11 weeks should I estimate my application processing time based on the 23 weeks or on the current processing time Will like to know Schonebaby: I guess processing weeks have reduced |

I get your point, no one prays for denial but that's the reality but I will advise you use the word that describe the situation Because i beleive such person will reapply and you will have to create another column for such ones I strongly beleive that individual that have been denied now will surely come here to give there testimony when they reapply again For accurate records it will be fair to use the right word Currently now from your statistics we have 9 accepted and two denial that's a positive that's like 85% approval which give others awaiting there response( including me ) hope that it will end in praise Peace to everyone sillysassysally: We are using "delayed" as opposed to "denied" because we believe that the application has only been tempoarily delayed and that the next try would be successful. |

Can someone throw more light on this Saw some applicant with delayed status and no medical request, but PPR what does that mean sillysassysally: TRV processing time update 09/04/2019
We now have a sample of 34 hopefuls!
I would encourage those that have applied this year to share their timeline (with details such as; Application Route, whether you're a new or re-applicant, School Resumption Date, Application Date, Biometrics Request Date, Biometrics Done Date, Medical Request, Medicals Done, Medicals Passed, PPR or the Current Status of your application). If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it. This information would help us study or attempt to establish a pattern to how CIC operates. (Please note that the calculated estimates are just averages based on the little sample we have. Your processing time may be faster or slower than the average)
For those that have already submitted their timeline, kindly share if you are a new applicant or a re-applicant. Also, please share when you are expected to resume school. This would help us understand if there is a relationship between processing time and resumption date. (Cc Dedecoder, Godatwork23, Dolapok, Oni2019, docsaj, Klem28, Ancy 26, Trishaben, Omarzx, ify85, umulobi, Iykedpetes)
Finally, If there is anything you think i should add to the data or calculate from the data or if there is a better way you think I can present the data, I am always open to suggestions. |

Hello bro take a chill pill am not pouring any anger out towards anybody this is a public forum And regarding your comment about a lot of diploma refusal in 2018 What evidence do you have it was because of diploma that they were refused My post was not targeted at anyone am only posting that to help shape upcoming applicant Not at anybody, am a peace agent Peace bro Austacus: Wait oooo Who are you pointing your anger to? Why not go to anifowoshe (VI) and fight them
Just a reminder, justwise isn't paying anyone here so stop feeling like it's a right. Same as those in Ph.D. get their visa deny too... diploma refusal Is alarming especially in 2018.
Easy bro, at least you should be happy with the recent approval galore.

So please no one should come here and preach against diploma studies or retrogressive bla bla bla Even those that have enrolled for pgd have there Visa denied Rather tell people how best to convince visa officer on how to be a legitimate student Thanks Austacus: Diploma TRV and Coop work permit
This is indeed a fabulous news for many people cause the diploma has been a barrier for some time now. (there head done dey correct).
Please answer the following question
~What is your travel history? ~Who's your sponsor (parents), or self-sponsored? ~Tell us the rage of amount in your sponsor’s account. If you don't want to say the exact amount, just the rage will do eg 15-17 million ~How did you convince the VO in your SOP? What did you do differently? ~Did you change your program? Or the same program with your BSC? ~ where do you work in Nigeria? And How's the pay like?
I may not respond back to you but your answer will help us especially for those that are going for a diploma.
Congratulations bro. |

Thanks for the reply I actually asked because I saw in your profile that you enrolled for college diploma And on this forum I hear people talk about program is retrogressive For me i think as long as you can convince the Visa officer that you are a legitimate student that will do Its not dependent on the degree you want to embark on I hope this will shape future applicant decision when applying TheAfrikan: I have a 2:1 in a Professional Degree |

Hey Nairaland Family,

Congratulations to all those who got their approvals this month!

If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it.

We have made attempts to "calculate" processing times. (Please note that this is just an average based on the little sample we have. Your processing time may be faster or slower than the average). As we get more samples, I want to believe our calculations would be more "accurate".
Finally, If there is anything you think i should add to the data or calculate from the data, please share with me. |

Was it a diploma program you enrolled for and did you have bsc before applying for this course dedecoder: Approval Alert!!!
And that is how I finally get to share my own testimony. It's been the Lord's doing and no doubt, marvelously marvelous in my sight
Timeline
Applied December 12 2018 after being refused October 1 last year. Medical Request: February 7 Medicals Done: February 20 Biometric Validity: March 22 Passport Request: Just Now School: Centennial College, Toronto Course: Biotechnology
Reason for first Refusal: Purpose of visit
So, who says college applicants don't get approval? Of course, I have always known that the notion is far from the truth. The difficulty or ease lies on "times and chances" just like with any other application.
Should any college applicant have a query or clarification, I shall be more than willing to supply answer. |

Thanks Frank but does that mean we are both co sponsoring the education because I know there's a section in the cic form where you are asked who's is sponsoring the education Frankrobbn1: It won't hurt your application. As a matter of fact, it helps alot in addressing your ties to Nigeria and funds accessibility by you (the principal applicant). Clearly indicate in your SOP that you and mother are the signatory to the joint account. For this reason, adequate funds will be available at your disposal during your stay in Canada.
