Christianity Etc › The Secret Of Christianity--- Part One- Just Like Sports Betting. by HardMirror(op): 5:38pm On Sep 10, 2016
THE DELUSION OF SPORTS BETTING (GAMBLING), THE DELUSION OF CHRISTIANITY

Have you noticed the popularity of Sports betting in recent times. Have you noticed how every street in Nigeria's major cities are littered with betting shops?

Call the youths and old men patronizing those betting shops fools, they don't care why?

WHO IS THE FOOL? FOOLISHNESS VS WISDOM
A non gambler sees gamblers as fools and jobless. You look at them and pity them, why are these people wasting their lives and destines. Wasting their hard earned money on uncertainty. You see foolishness, they see wisdom.
You see waste of time, they see reward. The gambler sees "cheap", quick return on investment. Where 100naira can become 10million naira under a few hours. So who is the real fool? The gambler or those who thing gambling is wrong?
Christians are seen as fools, BUT there are well motivated. There is a reward they think is worth being a fool for.
Where without much effort other than mumble some confessions of Jesus being your savior, you can have good health, riches, success, peace and ever lasting life. Big rewards are the motivation, the reward in pursuit. So are gamblers and christians fools?
Think twice!

TESTIMONIES NOT JUST PROMISES
Imagine Nairabet operating for over 10 years and not a single person ever won a Million naira. Do you think people will still be betting?
Absolutely No.

I was at computer village Ikeja about 2 weeks ago and many people were discussing about the "boys" in computer village that have won millions, many more were more determined to keep betting and confident that one day it would be their turn to hit the jackpot and win millions too.
I smiled to myself they did not know that their customer was a professional gambler that had seen it all and could teach them one or two things.

Christians are highly motivated by testimonies. Just like the Betting bookers (Nairabet, Merrybet, Bet360, Williamhill, Bet9ja etc), churches (Redeem, Winners, Love Domain, SCOAN, Lord's Chosen, etc) don't joke with testimonies at all.

When churches do adverts they always try to show that they are getting testimonies, the publish the testimonies, show people falling under amointing of Daddy G.O. Etc.
Sportbetting Bookers also do the same, they make the success stories publicized. People spread the news.

Even none gamblers will be tempted to try it...

LET ME GIVE IT A TRY
Yes Chinedu just won 4million naira with 500naira, just 500 naira! Wow! You hate gambling so much but men! 4,000,000 with 500?! I must give it a try!

Mrs Banke has been barren for 20years, she gave birth to triplets after Pastor TB Joshua prayed for her! Wow!
Alhaji Musa hears the story and he decides to give Jesus a try, he has nothing to lose, after waiting for a child for just 5years, the God that Gave Mrs Banke tripplet after 20years should be able to give him just one child.

Yes o. I have seen at least 50 amputees that had their legs and hands grow back when men of God prayed for them. This one is a little thing

If morality evolves, then it's safe to say that there is no absolute morality.

Cc Hardmirror
Absolutely. Morality is really an individual thing. But as I said earlier, you can be influenced by authority, the law, religion, your parents, elders, etc in following a particular moral code.

Yes Morality and ethics do evolve, because societies which defines these terms also evolve, needs evolve, expectations evolve... One look at the history of human civilization is enough to show this.
Exactly.

Jonnydon22, is the society therefore responsible for the moderation of morality?

Does morality evolve?
Morality evolves. Take a look at history. Even the christian morals are evolving. Originally women have no authority in the church, but the case is different now else the church would seem to be anti women, so morality is evolving.

So long a write-up,

Who/what defines morality, to what set rule(s) is morality tailored to? Society/Science/Nature/individuals??
Morality is really an individual thing, but humans are influenced by humans they feel are authority figures, so you learn morality of your society from childhood

Lol, you sound like an unbeliever on the broad way to perdition.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
You seem to forget sango and amadioha can also punish those who don't believe in them. So keep your petty perdition to yourself
Christianity Etc › Re: The Ant Tale And Our Morality by HardMirror(m): 8:13pm On Sep 07, 2016
Really, what is morality?
No such thing exists as an absolute. Morality is a function of society. What is moral in some cultures is total taboo in other cultures.

Can religion create morality? Absolutely YES!
Christians believe themselves to be most moral and pride themselves above many other religions, yet cannot explain the morality in their God commanding the killing and wiping out of entire clans and tribes. Morality of slavery the bible supports.
What of islam? Oh very loafy set of people, self righteous and the true definition of being religious yet the religion is dented with what a modern age man will call immoral.

If religions were perfect, it won't be evolving to become more liberal as we are experiencing

A life without God provides nothing. The psychological cushion you claimed comes from theism is better than no cushion at all. Your fellow atheists know how much it has helped a lot of people who were without hope. how it has brought a lot of healing(even when you explain/reason them away). At least it did that. The peace and joy that godliness has ensued is unquantifiable compared to a life without God.
You sound like an agnostic that has weighed his options and decided it's better to live in a world of christianity albeit a false sense of security and comfort.

Christianity Etc › Christianity: The Religion Of The Poor by HardMirror(op): 9:07pm On Sep 06, 2016
" I will lift up my eyes to the hills,
From where comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
The maker of Heaven and Earth."
Psalms Whatever (can't recall now)

Note: there are thousands of christian millionaires and lots of christian billionaires. So why is christianity a religion of the poor as I claim?

Everyday Millions of christians lift their eyes up to heaven, opening their mouths like chicks in a nest waiting for their mother to feed them their daily worm.
He that provides for the birds of the air, so they don't toil, shall he not provide for his children?

God is the consolation of the poor.
God is the reason why the rich and corrupt live in peace.

We are not of this world!

Our kingdom is yet to come.

Like poor Lazarus, many toil day and night serving slave masters. The modern rich man. The pastor that flies in private jets and has the best things in life, the politicians, the capitalists raking in fortunes and giving the employees peanuts even though they are the ones toiling to rake in the big profit for their masters.

If our hope was in this world alone, then we are of all men most miserable

Oh yes! We suffer now, but praise be to God, we have mansions of Gold waiting for us beyond! We have untold riches in God!

Lay not for your self treasures where thieves and moths can take them, but lay up treasures in heaven. Where your treasure is there shall your heart be, no one can serve God and Mammon...

Don't desire riches, your comfort is in God, don't desire things that are temporal, desire the eternal kingdom of God.

Surely I tell you it will be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God!

Do not rebel or revolt against your leaders! All your leaders are ordained by God (not votes or force)

The clever antiques that has held humanity in the shackles of religion. The shackles holding nigeria.

Where God is at the very center of corruption.
Don't judge! Let God judge.
Pray for your leaders!

Pray for your pastor! Don't judge your pastor!

Don't desire the things rich people have!

Christianity the religion of the poor; the poor who wish to become rich, the poor who are ready to mingle with supposed sinners, the poor who sing "baba God, pick up my call", the poor who have joined in the corrupt system while still slaves to the system for all they do is pray for things to be better. We serve a rich God and I see no reason why we should not spend billions on mega churches and our pastors live large! Our God is rich!

Christianity an avenue for the rich to come to church in expensive cloths and in expensive cars so the poor can admire them, while they behave as if they are humble, but deep in their hearts they enjoy how they poor members wish to have things they have.

You still don't get it? Don't worry, I am enjoying every bit of it

Lol! Hahahahaha

Smh. You mean Truely God will never leave his people without a withness? For real? You mean the withness that speaks on behalf of God? That claims God talks to him?

You people are just so easy to fool. Once someone mentions God, your senses are gone.
No wonder politicians are using God massively for their campaign (funny thing is they could even be Atheists secretly)

Paul Praise, a popular gospel musician who sang "Double Double" is now down with Kidney failure and #9,000,000 naira is needed to treat him. This is an open letter to the above-mentioned names to help their Christian counterpart by saving his life.

They should help him by visiting him on his sick bed and miraculously cure him of his sickness. Or otherwise, they should help with the 'tithe-payers money'(#9,000,000). Our tithe and offering is more than a billion Naira in Nigeria.

This is urgent. Pls if anyone knows how we can reach any of these men of god(yahweh), he should let us know. Here is a way to practically demonstrate that their god is alive and HE INTERFERES IN THE AFFAIRS OF THE world as it is demonstrated in the holy book.

When they ask us why we always talk about their gods. To me, it's like their admitting that their beliefs have no basis in reality but telling us to be silent about it just to preserve their fantasy.
So true, so far so good you don't see any of them addressing the op, they are all here to distract us from the facts, which is the exposure of how children are indoctrinated, after all the pitiable methods were proposed by christians. All proving they don't even know for sure their god exists, therefore resorting to tricks and force to get the child indoctrinated.

Were you born into atheism or what sort of poorly thought generalisation is this? Who do we blame for the millions of children born into extreme poverty in the slums? Are they predestined to be poor and to suffer all their lives? Do they need a way out of their reality, or some atheist to try to convince them that their situation is unreal and unfair?
So why did your god allow them to be born to suffer or even die as babies in some extreme situations? Or is it the atheist's fault now?

You are the confused being here. Can't you read between the lines to understand that I am only saying your god is as unreal as Zeus. How can zeus died when he never existed. Saying he died is only a figure of speak to say believe in zeus died.
Funny you think you are intelligent.

Prevent extinction
Of what use is existence? I don't see the purpose. We may have individual purposes to some extent. But what is the purpose of humanity? Nature can do without humans, the cosmos has no need for humans. We live for ourselves. If humanity had been extinct 50 years ago, would we be missing anything? I won't exist and I won't know I could exist and I won't be missing anything since I never existed.

To me reproduction is over valued. Homosexuality, especially gayism is disgusting to me, but I have zero issues with anyone practicing that. It does not in anyway hinder those who want to birth children.

Not everyone against homosexuality is religious. I for one dont buy into the idea, the law of nature is to reproduce its own kind and not to bring it to extinction. Homosexuality does not support that theory.
And what is the purpose of reproduction?

A church founded in 2006 celebrated 10years anniversary with only 200 members and performed only 10 same sex weddings in the last decade grin. That means they get only 20 new members every year. That means God has turned his back on them. The church is a failure but they can repent now before it's too late
The fact that they have 200 members is still an achievement.
