That's not what the bank should have told you but follow these steps;

Lodge a formal complain with your bank. Lodge as a case of fraud.
If need be let a lawyer (which is the best) help you write the petition and let all relevant agencies be copied. You will see the way the bank will quickly respond.
The receiver's Account/BVN will be flagged if he doesn't show up at the bank cuz the bank will invite him. And that means he can't operate any account in Nigeria with his BVN.
If he elwas eventually caught on the run, it's a jailable offence.
I have witnessed one cuz I works in the financial industry

But in this case it's no fraud because the money was transferred by him to the account, and there is no evidence of communication from him to the recipient, so tagging it as fraud is deformation of character. He has the right to sue you too for such act. All the bank can do is to reach out to the owner of the account and find a way to withdraw the money back.

Even within the yoruba tribe, their cultures are different. The inability for the SW to coexist with the SE is based on religion difference and the assumed ideology of how the igbos are. Before the amalgamation, these two tribes have existed and done businesses in peace. In my research, I found out that most people who call out other tribes have actually never lived with them or know anything about them, only what they were told. We call out the whites for being racist, should we call ourselves out for being tribalists.

It's high time we put away these stories and move ahead, unless we will be left behind by civilization, fighting a battle that never existed since 1966. And In this war there is no victory no vanquish.

I think it's high time we realized that not everything is tribe and religion related. If we do not reason for once like Normal people, we'll end up as puppets in the hands of bad government. It's clear to everyone that the country's economy has gone worse, don't feel too comfortable in your home, why don't you take a walk down to the rural areas and see how people struggle to survive, they only hope and pray that they see their daily bread. It's not one sided, it's everywhere in the country, so why don't we for once use one voice to let them know how we feel instead of calling out one tribe.

check the post office. And you shouldn't have waited that long, it would automatically assume that you've received the package three months after. You should always lay complain once you don't receive it after a month max. You can still verify from the post office if the package is with them.
