Good day Nairalanders
I will be 40 on Oct 19 this year and I am scared the kind of life I have always desired may not be
achievable. Let me list these things that worries me so that you can probably advise me or assist me in achieving any of them.
1) By 40 I had wished I will be living in my house with cars in my garage
Current situation- I am a salary earner who eagerly waits for the salary to drop before my family can eat conveniently every month.
2)I love cars and driving. Was thinking of getting a good car for Uber business.
Current situation- I have not been able to gather enough money to buy a car for Uber or personal use.
3)Seeking greener pasture abroad.
Current situation- I have not been able to have enough disposable income to even get a passport to start with in the first place.
4)Self development. I had interest in programming so I decided to learn coding and all that. I started with free code camp and also this thread by iyenimofe on nairaland has been so helpful https://www.nairaland.com/1383359/learn-web-design-live-nairaland/6#17571611
The issue I have progressing is that of enough data subscription to watch more tutorials.
5)Acquisition of at least Masters.
I have a passion for learning and self development but I struggled to have my HND with distinction. Gathering enough funds to start my masters program has been an uphill task.

Little about my background
I am an HND graduate
I have a sister who am responsible for also.
I have a wife and two kids.
I work 8-5weekdays

I used to think like this too until my illness chopped away my happiness coupled with lack of funds, I love kids but wouldn't even dream of having them now. Till I realized people would always talk and talk, The only person you should ever answer to is your maker anyone else can shove it. Enjoy your life and do what makes you happy at least thats what I am going to do with the few months or years I have left.

And what's with Africa and abusive men. I cannot imagine why a man would hit another man, not Evan to talk about a pregnant woman. People are evil l, if someone offends you just walk out

I am currently a student in one of the best federal University in Nigeria. My current cgpa is 4.63 and I got it without any form of malpractice aka expo. I achieved it with hardwork and dedication. I am not boasting in any way but I am trying to build the confidence of average students that they can get an excellent result without engaging in any form of malpractice or looking for short cut to pass. What they need to do is to work very hard and be fully dedicated to their studies. And lastly, school is not a scam because lots of great men have benefited from it. Great men like Peter obi, chukwuma soludo, wole soyinka, yemi osinbajo.

Lol reach final year first. Everyone does well in 100level it's no big deal. "I am not boasting" yet you cane on nairaland to post your result. Pride goes before a fall kid

As Jesus Christ made clear in His Gospel, only those who are born-again can gain access to His Heaven and His Hellfire at the end of the day, after all He is King over Heaven and over Hellfire - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46. TenQ:

Demons are the ones who suggests suicide as a way out of human problem. However, what they don't tell you is that they are on the waiting side to receive you and lead you to your destination.

Why do they do this?
1. Your future is bright, but you don't know yet. When you die, your future destination die with you.
2. The purpose of demons is to steal, kill and destroy people, their destinies, their purpose in life, their destination (heaven or hell)

If you are passing through difficult times, it is time to pray serious offensive prayers.

Jam 5:13:
"Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms."

Let me ask you these Questions!
1. Are you born again?
2. Do you know how to pray?

I have been a strong Christian all my life. I have made some wrong choices but I always come back to my father. That makes me keep wondering what crime or grave sin have I committed to deserve all of this, I can't ever live like others do, all my finances go into health bills. I have been praying every single day to wake up and all would be well. But here I am.

And I don't believe what you are saying, suicide is not caused by any demon, it's done by those who are tired of living with all the pain in this world, you would never understand until life hits you( I pray you never face what I am facing)
Religion / Re: God Is A Tester Not A Tempter by hashtagged(m): 2:29pm On Apr 19, 2023
Corrections:
Many Christians do not know when to use the word ''Tempt'' and Test'' when relating them with God in their statement. In this article, we will explore the idea that God is not a tempter but a tester, with support from Bible verses.

Firstly, let us define the difference between temptation and testing. Temptation is an enticement or desire to do something that is morally or ethically wrong. Testing, on the other hand, is an examination or trial to evaluate one's abilities, character, or faithfulness.

James 1:13-14
states, "Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire."

This verse clearly states that God does not tempt anyone with evil. Instead, temptation comes from within us, as we are enticed by our own desires. Therefore, we cannot blame God for the temptations we face.

In Matthew 4:1, it is written, "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil." Here, we see that Jesus was not tempted by God but instead led by the Holy Spirit to be tested by the devil. This testing was necessary for Jesus to show his obedience and faithfulness to God.

Similarly, in the story of Job, we see that God allowed Satan to test Job's faith. Job 1:12 states, "And the Lord said to Satan, 'Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.' So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord."

Although God allowed Job to be tested, it was not a temptation. God did not entice Job to sin, but instead allowed Satan to test Job's faith and trust in Him. Job's faithfulness to God was ultimately proven in his response to his suffering, as he declared, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord" (Job 1:21).

In conclusion, the Bible clearly states that God is not a tempter but a tester. Just like the way engineers always put their approved machines to test so that the machines can get to work and be useful, so also God allows us to face trials and testing to refine our character and strengthen our faith, but He never tempts us to sin. It is up to us to resist temptation and remain faithful to God, as James 1:12 reminds us, "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."

HOW TO CONNECT WITH GOD

ACCEPT, BELIEVE AND FOLLOW JESUS.

John14:6
Jesus told him ' I am the way-
Yes, and the truth and the life. No one can GET to the father (GOD) except by means of me (JESUS ).

John14:1
Let not your heart be troubled. You are trust in God now trust in me ( JESUS ).

John15:23
Anyone that is hating me ( JESUS )
is hating the father (GOD)

Colossian 2: 10
So you have everything when you have Christ and you are filled with GOD through your union with CHRIST. He is the highest RULER, with authority over every other power.

Life hasn't hit you yet, when you are at your lowest point, no sign of help or a miracle. You pray everyday for god's miracle but wake up to the same pain and suffering. You are slowly dying inside and the only reason you keep on living is the fear that if you end it you would go to hell and suffer much worse. Then I hope you can still have faith

you really would be needing a thorough Clinical workup. Visit a well equipped clinic. What's the state of your general health? Did the floaters come with a drop in your vision? It isn't really what i can address online. You really should visit a good clinic ASAP

I have had them for six months, with no vision loss. But recently I have had light sensitivity. I use senglassses all the time it helps me see better

I am an Eye doctor, I discovered through clinical experience that most Patients don't really know about some basic things and problems affecting the eyesn and these has led to simple eye problems being seen as complicated and frightening to most patients and they don't really know how to go about it. There are some eye problems that are hereditary, which requires normal routine eye examinations but due to ignorance most patients tend to lose their sight to eye problems that could have been prevented. I want to use this opportunity to enlighten us and provide solutions to problems affecting the eyes,in line with WHO Vision 2020-Right to sight for all, so all questions concerning the eyes are welcomed

Anything goes in the world of Christianity, she can't even cover her hair. I love we Muslims, after bathing in the morning,we must wash our bodies 5 times before our 5 times prayer,if a drop 💧 of urine drops on our cloth or a dog touches our cloth,it's unacceptable for prayer,we have to wash it,if we fart during prayer,we must break it and perform ablution again and start the prayer over again,if we Urinate,we must rinse our private part, also a private part that isn't rinsed makes our prayer invalid. If we drink alcohol, our prayer is unacceptable for 40 days and that is a great sin to Allah. We must emulate prophet Muhammad in all or almost all the things we do which we call Sunnah. From his neatness by wearing trousers that doesn't touch the ground and above ankle, beards to look masculine, that's why an Arab would rarely shave all his beards,it's Sunnah, wearing white JALABIYA like Arabs do is Sunnah, dressing the same way with poor people is Sunnah, sitting on the floor rather than chair is Sunnah, that's why Arabs use flat Arabic sofa that looks like they seat on the floor in sitting room, eating with our hands and no spoon Is Sunnah, prophet wants us to humble ourselves ,our women must emulate our mother Aisha(Prophet's wife)in almost all or everything.. Women acquiring education is Sunnah because Aisha completed her memorization of entire Quran 3 months after Prophet received last chapter of Quran from Allah, later that year,Prophet died and Aisha became an Islamic teacher till age 73. Opposite sex must not stare at each other more than once,no touch,no praying and holding hands with opposite sex like christians do in church,we can't even be in the same room in mosque,I rarely see or know any woman that comes to my mosque and Prophet said it's more rewarding for a woman to pray at home than mosque but more rewarding for men to pray at the mosque than home. Arabs use the Quranic law and constitution and that's the reason why Dubai,Qatar,Saudi,Kuwait, etc are enjoying their life and their citizens so moral,no tax because it's not allowed in Islam,no banking that attracts interest. Prophet's last word when he was dying is that all Muslims are a tribe, brothers,we have no other tribe, country, race, etc but Islamic brotherhood, the capable should take care of the weak and feed them whatever you eat. That's why Arabs send goodies, build schools, etc in Muslim communities here and everywhere else. May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad, the greatest man to ever exist and none can be like him forever

Although I am a Christian but Islam is very disciplined and Christians need to emulate that too, sometimes when I speak to my Muslim friends I always notice they are well mannered and cultured something you rarely see among Christians.
