[quote author=Adunnee post=74951440]Good day everyone. I have some questions for the seniors who have landed in Canada.

3. My husband is an Accountant and he intends to complete his ACCA programme before we leave Nigeria. Can he easily convert to CPA? Does he stand a chance to get a good job?

With a CPA, your husband is a big boy in the making....he will easily get a job, and a good one at that....

You need to go back to part 1 to understand Maternal. Ignore his insults and pick his advice. He is like that. If you like form a group against him, he is not moved. That is just him.

Being impolite is just his person .... Interesting

You are right, the price I was seeing was the outgoing fare. However the total price for a round trip is 320k on the app and i think its still a fantastic deal for those that are yet to book. I tried booking for February though.

320k Is a really good rate, I tried same for March dates, was giving me above 400k....I av booked and paid for my one way jeje.....by Early march, Calgary go collect new PR and him family cool

Thanks for your reply. I actually want to upgrade my ticket from a one way ticket to a roundtrip ticket. Currently the roundtrip cost 165k on their app while I paid 255k for a one way ticket. I'm wondering if i'll be refunded the balance of cash paid when I upgrade to roundtrip. However I'll try sending a mail as you have advised. Cheers.

are you talking about the Ethiopian airline app ?
If yes,
It splits the round trip fare in two, outgoing and incoming rate, I am pretty sure the fare you have seen is for outgoing alone, you will later see the incoming fare, and it will be summed up to nothing less than 400k

Good morning all,

Please I am in a dilemma .

I am a guy who immigrated to Canada through Manitoba PNP route; My sister who's a PR in Manitoba actually sponsored me .

After spending a year there , I got a decent job in Nova Scotia and I left for it . I am currently working in Nova Scotia now.

My worry now is that this is going to affect her sponsoring other family members of ours .

I don't want to lose this Job and I don't wanna block other members of the family who want to come to Manitoba through PNP.

This has really given me sleepless nights and unhappy moments. I am sad .

Please elders, what can I do ? What is the way out ?

Thank You.

You Certainly cannot sponsor anybody to come into Canada cos you are not obeying the rule of your PNP nomination, and you are at risk also of losing your PR status(to the best of my knowledge),except you can prove to the appropriate authority that you could not obtain the desired job in all of Manitoba and had no choice but to move to another province and that might be semi impossible to do.

I would advice you go back to Manitoba ,get ur citizenship ,sponsor who you want and move wherever you want.
Elders in the house, put mouth abeg,I spoke to the best of my knowledge

Hi bro can I pick your brain briefly ?
I used to work in banking operations and have made quite a profile in that area but I really am looking to move away from
What do you think ?

Why not get your PR and do soft landing, finish up on your developer program, you will still be making money in Nigeria in the process, you can then move finally to Canada, with more POF and knowledge to hit the IT market... My opinion though

Hi Guys, thanks for all this valuable info on this thread. I’m looking to move to Canada mid next year but I’m having difficulties deciding on which city to live in. Hubby is a pharmacist and I’m an accountant and one of my criteria for a city to live in would be where pharmaceutical head offices and finance firms are situated so hubby and I can have great career prospects. Toronto seems like the easy choice but it’s quite expensive and I’d prefer another city with the same criteria I’m looking for. I’m also looking for a city that’s warm. I really don’t like the cold and will like to avoid it as much as possible.
. Go to Alberta..... Friends in Canada have advised me to go there

Are you asking about bridging programmes or you want to start as a fresh student? If you're starting afresh all you need is to do a search on your school(s) of choice. You can find information on application period, admission requirements, contact details and tuition on their website.

it depends, if a bridging program is to be better then I will take that option, but if one has to start afresh then that will be an option too.....I understand that there is a two years compressed program, with government grant in most provinces.... That's the one am searching for
