An installer once told me that it better to use and external charge controller on an hybrid inverter with inbuilt charge controller. He claimed that it reduces the stress on the inverter. Please, how true is this claim?

Valto:
my warranty is far more solid than those brands wink anyway thanks for the trust. just give them the well known brands they desire. mine is also well known to several hundreds of people on nairaland using my batteries.....
Please, I am not an installer o... grin, just a student of Solar System knowledge. The person is afraid simply because of his past experience. However, if you don't mind, state what your warranty entails. It is hard to find a vendor like you who can openly beats his or her chest on products without getting people to counter the claims, most especially on a Forum like Nairaland.

AinsSama:
Welcome fellow enthusiast.

1. Get a 48V inverter (3.5kva, 5kva, 6kva) for a 48V battery, especially ones with inbuilt Mppt charge controller.

2. Yes a 5kwh Lithium battery is more than sufficient to run that load especially considering your last note.

3. You're already good to go.

4. Get 2-4 600W (if possible, even higher wattage) Jinko panels. You can get from Fouani if they have in stock, I have 625W ones for sale and it's what I use to run my loads.

Note: I'm completely off-grid (been over a year now) and find even 8 of those specific panels an overkill. My energy needs is about 10 times yours and everything runs on a 15Kwh Lithium battery. The panels are that efficient and as a bonus you save roof space.
Thanks for the response.

Valto:
NO

700w x 7hrs =4.9kwh. u need atleast a 7kwh lithuim battery

Special Xmas offer from VALTECH Energy! 24v 7.1kwh lifepo4 lithium battery made with brand new EVE 280k cells of 8000 cycles + 24v 4.2kw hybrid inverter with inbuilt 120A Mppt 6200w pv capacity for 1.750m
u don't need an external charger controller. order 5 or 6pcs of jinko 555w from faouni.
Thanks @valto... I have seen some of your great offers on previous pages, however, the person for whom I asked the questions is so obsessed with well known brands, hence his choice for either Felicity or SRNE due to warranty matters. I will howvere save your contact in case I have someone who don't mind going for not well known brands.

Dear Professionals, please I am new here even though I was able to go through the last 20 pages of this thread. You guys are awesome. I have learnt new things from the little read.
Please, I need response to the following questions for a possible system set up.
1. Using Felicity products as case study, can a 3.5kva 24v transformer inverter be used on a 5kwh 48v 100ah lithium battery?
2. If the answer to (1) above is YES, Assuming a total load power of 700w with an average of 7 hours of daily use, is the set up in (1) sufficient?
3. If the answer is NO, what closest alternative do you think is possible?
4. Using Jinko panels, how many panels am I likely going to get to achieve (2) above? Also, the power rating of the charge controller to use.

Please note that my area mostly enjoys grid electricity at night, from 10:30pm to like 4:00am on the average, except during exceptional cases.
Thank you as I await responses from my "ogas" at the top.

Hello house! Can someone please help tell me wether all the 123 candidates that collected APL are regular applicants that were able to get to the final stage or they includes the connected ones.
It's very important and urgent please. I just want to know if I'm still hopeful or otherwise. Thanks as you help.
No one will tell you that he or she got the job through connection. It is safe to accept fate that you didn't make it to the Commission if you were not contacted/selected. Like what someone has earlier suggested here, you can as well visit the Human Resource unit to confirm if you are one of those selected.

Whatever may be the outcome at the end, I also want to commend them for the work done so far. Going through what some persons have negatively predicted about the recruitment, they (the management) have proven to do things differently from the normal. We hope other MDAs can follow same path.

Congratulations to all who will eventually make it at the end. Nigeria shall be great again, Amen.
For future reference purpose, please, go for what you want with the belief that you will succeed. Based on reliable observation as obtained from some successful applicants, over 90% got this appointment without knowing anyone at NERC nor knowing any high ranking politician. The leadership of NERC has done very well to change the narrative and they should be well commended. I see hope for Nigeria if this trend continues with other MDAs and other private establishments.

Congratulations to all successful candidates and best of luck next time to those who didn't make it in. We are all winners regardless. Good luck to all.

Signing out... Hayzhed.

Take the probability of this job as 50% and plan towards whatever may be the outcome. If you are lucky to get in, Glory be to God, but if not, still give thanks to God and move on. Possibly, God has prepared something better for you in future. I have long decided to ignore whatever infos I see here because most of them are not posted with good intents. From my observation, I think the invites are being sent according to Grade levels. Probably, Analyst 1 and 2 interviews will end on Friday and Assistant Manager cadre will commence theirs on Saturday and upward just like that. Just assuming, I don't have facts to this o grin

I left ICAN Ebute metta office some few minutes ago. The results are out based on the response of one of the staff I met there. She told me that online posting is in progress and that physical pasting on the notice boards will start in 2-3 hrs time. I would have waited to see the results first hand but I have some other things to do.
Congratulations in advance.
