Harmless while asleep but a ogre while awake. Perfect opportunity to kill the bastard that beats the hell out of you every day.
perfect time to slip out of the house and run away.  perfect time to time him to the bed and inflict your own abuse on him.  but perfect time for murder seems to make the most sense to you, right?

According to trial testimony, on November 9, 1990, Peggy Sue Saiz used a pistol obtained from her boyfriend to shoot her husband, George, four times, killing him. Then, in order to simulate a burglary, Peggy Sue collected items from their home and took them to her mother's house and boyfriend's residence.

Witnesses said that after Peggy Sue shot her husband she went to a bar with her sister. There she met and danced with another man and later the trio went for a late-night snack. After which her sister called 911 from the Saiz home while Peggy Sue faked hysteria in the background.

When police arrived Peggy Sue first told police a burglar had killed her husband. When that story didn't stand up, she admitted shooting her husband but then claimed she was a battered wife and had killed him in self defense.

But, in addition to her infidelity, Peggy Sue had taken out large insurance policies on her husband before killing him.

Dr. Kathy Morall, a forensic psychiatrist, testified during Peggy Sue's trial that the defendant was not suffering from battered woman's syndrome or post traumatic stress disorder at the time she shot her husband.

During the trial Peggy Sue's attorney, Walter Gerash, attempted to call as witnesses two public defenders to challenge Dr. Morall's credibility, but the trial court denied that request. As an aside, it is usually only possible to call attorneys as witnesses under special circumstances, and apparently the defense attorney's request did not meet those conditions under Colorado law.

Peggy Sue Saiz was then sentenced to life in prison for the cold-blooded, premeditated murder of her husband.

Mrs. Saiz's case was appealed all the way to the Colorado Supreme Court and was denied. Then her case was appealed to Federal court. According to the July 23, 2001, edition of the Denver Post (p. 2B) U.S. District Judge Wiley Daniel granted Mrs. Saiz a new trial based on the trial court's refusal to allow the public defenders to be called as witnesses as to the "character and reputation for truthfulness of government witness Dr. Kathy Morrall."

Mrs. Saiz's second trial was scheduled for January 7, 2002, in Adams County District Court. But according to the Wednesday, July 24, 2002, edition of the Denver Post (p. 3B) the Colorado Court of Appeals upheld her previous conviction, ruling that although the trial court should have allowed the testimony, the error was harmless, and overturned the Federal court ruling requiring a new trial.

(AP) A new rape law in Illinois attempts to clarify the issue of consent by emphasizing that people can change their mind while having sex.

Under the law, if someone says "no" at any time the other person must stop or it becomes rape. The National Crime Victim Law Institute said it believed the law is the first of its kind in the country.

Lyn Schollett, general counsel for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault, said the law was important to make it clear to victims, offenders, prosecutors and juries that people have the right to halt sexual activity at any time.

Years later, a completely unsolicited letter was sent to the parole board by Melissa Anne Suchy, who had been employed by Linda as a babysitter. Suchy's letter is hearsay, but it has the ring of authenticity.

Suchy wrote that Linda told her she made up the story about rape because she was then pregnant with the baby of her boyfriend, and he pushed her to press rape charges, saying that she would have to "get rid of Hetherington or he wouldn't take care of the baby."

YES!

A Man who says he does not know when rape is rape. . . is a liar. This is not the first time they're having sex, he knows how she responds. If she isn't responding the same way . . after saying NO and he even used some tiny measure of power to hold her down - IT IS RAPE.

Quick Question - How can a anyone enjoy sex if their partner is unresponsive? Abi am I Naive or something? huh
well, by law, if you pound it once more after she says no you can be charged with rape, i think.

True Brit:
@ nanaboi, I am sure it is just as easy to post a poem in the POEM section where it belongs. There is a reason why all subjects under the sun are not just lumped together in one section. And there is a reason why the Poem Child Board was created [SO THAT POEMS ARE POSTED THERE not here], but seeing that you have posted there before, I'm sure you already know that.

@ Seun Osewa, When I want to read poems, I will go to the Poem Child Board. It is annoying to continually click threads and have subjects which do not belong in that section open up. It's about time you imposed penalties/sanctions for people who flagrantly decide to ignore posting rules by delibrately posting in the wrong section. If you know you cannot be bothered with monitoring the literature section, then merge the poetry section with the main literature section, so that we all know that we can expect to see crappy poetry every so often.

CrimeRe: Rape In Marriage? by HCH3COO: 9:49pm On Aug 06, 2008
Spousal rape is non-consensual sexual assault in which the perpetrator is the victim's spouse.

Spousal rape is also called marital rape and often wrongly conflated with partner rape or intimate partner sexual assault (IPSA). Because there is a widely held view that a man or woman surrenders consent upon entering a marriage, the law has been slow to criminalize this form of sexual assault. It is now a crime in most parts of the Western world, but exemptions still apply in some places; for example in some places marital rape cannot be prosecuted if a couple were living together at the time of the assault.

yeah yeah yeah tongue I mean i understand what im "suppose" to do. but doesn't mean i will enjoy it. I enjoy cooking for my man, being there as his is right hand person, catering to his needs, fulfilling all his desires(well except one), but i don't enjoy the power split. I don't like the whole 60/40 thing.
Why are you so adamant about power split.   Forget about the position of power and focus on achieving a fulfilling marriage.  When you mature more you will understand that there's more to marriage than who gets the 60 or who gets the 40.

Hahaha touche indeed, now THAT I agree with, lucky for you you didn't use full sentences for that little bit of your original post (3 pages back), this gives more room for you to interpret the whole text, or whether you want to decipher it in bits. I still think though sometimes the meaning is so clear any other is highly unlikely, I would bet that despite what you meant, the sentence read as I explained, but I'd admit to a 1% chance it could mean what you wanted it to mean, though I still think your interpretation is far fetched and you'd be better off rephrasing the whole thing altogether than claiming an alternative meaning.

Off to snooze now,

Take care all smiley
That was the purpose of it all. To keep you guessing tongue . goodnight.

The evidence suggests that it is the most sensible response you can make of it, but I have managed to provide another one.  Do you know that evidence sometimes wrongly accuses people of murder?  It was an imperative one-word sentence.  Technically speaking, a sentence is supposed to contain a subject and a verb.

I don't know where oniynye and co are.  They will be back soon.

You still maintain your stance?!??!! Now don't mind me, but I'm starting to label you as stubborn, go on prove me wrong, give in!! grin

Which is the earlier sentence, I've lost track, the one about the cake, the breakup or the quotes?

There's only so much you can say on the topic of quotes,
Stubborn, possessive, oh the comparisons. . . but I won't go on an emotional tirade to prove you wrong.
Sentence on cruelty.
