In regard to individual brilliance and contribution to teams MESSI is above Pele. MESSI carried Argentina on his shoulder from day one to d eventual final. The Argentina team that won the world cup was not very solid unlike the star studded team of Brazil that won the world cups in Pele era.

let's not be sentimental about it. Just because we are all paying our tributes and respect to legendary Pele should not prevent us from saying d fact. If anyone watches highlights and videos of Pele and Messi and compare d two, Messi is ahead. Pele did his work as centre forward perfectly. He scored great goals and many goals.


MESSI did and he's still doing the work of a playmaker perfectly and in combination to that he switches role perfectly too. At times u see him in wings, centre, midfield etc marshalling and bossing the field. Despite all dis great roles, he keeps scoring great and high number of goals for club and country despite not being a forward oo. Many top strikers will never even have d number of goals MESSI has. In terms of dribbles, Messi dribbles more than Pele. MESSI is d best, followed by d combination of Maradona and Pele.
