See them. Wannabe philosophers.FatherOfJesus: From this perspective of reasoning you're making an abruti of yourself to intelligent believers. ![]() I believe in God but not because the world exist. Any believer who bases their belief in God on the existence of the universe makes the universe the creator of God. If the person's reasoning is : "The universe exists, so God exists", then God is a causal effect of the universe. I'm a believer but I'm light-years away from this reasoning. And the last thing I'm going to do here is to prove to you the existence of God. I'm too arrogant to do that. ![]() But if you insist that I do so, I'll do so on the condition that you answer this question without making use of metaphysics (supernatural) reflections. "WHY ARE YOU ON EARTH? " Take care. ![]() |
Trash. Abraham pleased God without believing in Jesus. My great-grandfather pleased God without believing in Jesus. Jesus is a particularity to Christians. Stop routing a religious hegemony with Jesus. If you're a believer, the best way to please God is to love Him and to love humanity. If you're a non-believer... Honestly I don't even know what to tell you because I think you must be confused. . And to prove to you that you're confused, answer this question without making use of metaphysics: "Why am I on earth?" Thank you. ![]() |

I speak three. How many do you speak? Whether they are national languages or international languages. Question 2. Do you have problem switching to a language when you travel? Me, not a serious problem but I experience these hics here and there. Sometimes I find myself pronouncing English words the French way when I'm in Nigeria. Or I might want to say something in one language but realize another one of the languages I know says it better. So I try to translate from one language to another. Question 3. With what language do you think? For me, it depends on the object of thought. If it is academical, I normally think with an international language. If it is domestic, I'm most likely to think in my native language. Question 4. Do you think it is gainful having multiple languages? -For me, yes. If you're into academics, you'll have better access to academic information. Why? Most books you read are a translation of the original version. If you understand the language in which the original version was written, you will have an authentic understanding of the book. Translated versions are never as authentic as the original versions. -If you're an international traveller, the world will be a village for you. -You can use languages to attract respect from people. The more languages you know, the more exposed people believe you are, and the more they respect you. -Lastly, languages are mirrors through which cultures are viewed. The more languages you know, the more cultures you know and the better you understand people. |
It's either you're super-intelligent that we have difficulty understanding you; or you're super-intelligent that English language has difficulty conveying your message; or you're simply confused. One thing I understand is that you're prioritizing "family" above "the rest". And I ask you, can a part be more cherished than the whole? Can the eyes be more important than the entire human body? If not, how come you prioritize your family above humanity? |
No. The model mold with which I was made broke when I was hatched. But I've seen someone that resembles my brother. I met him and became very nice to him that he was wondering if I knew him from somewhere. I've seen a picture of my Mom when she was around 18 years old. Few years ago I met a girl who looks exactly like my mom in that picture. |
I'm gradually getting used to bad governance in Nigeria. One day I'll perfectly get used to it that nothing about it can surprise me. Should I be worried about that day? |
kodix:If the man bought the woman the way he bought his dog, then the woman alone might have to adjust. If he didn't buy her, that is, if the two of them (man and woman) truly got "married" to themselves, then both partners might have to adjust. Please, slavery has been banned many years ago. Don't go into marriage with this your mentality. |
Sorry if I'm not supposed to be commenting. The Association of Single Folks (ASF) sent me to represent them of this topic. We wish to let people know that it is normal to adjust to cultures when one gets into a conjugal life. But it is wrong to change whom one is. People should be able to differentiate "changing what you do" from "changing who you are". Always be who you are, but you can change how you exteriorize who you are. And on this, we felicitate the OP for choosing the perfect expression for the title of the thread. Thank you. |
The day I travelled from Nairobi to Lagos. People hawking Gala on the air-route no let me sleep. Always shouting "brother buy Gala and laCasera." ![]() |
You and your girlfriend are not serious. Don't post nonsense here again. |
Viciheaka:You called me immature and wrote this? For you the history of your ancestors started when they discovered demons? Nonsense. Our ancestors lived for many million years without herbalists, without no idea of demons and spirits or bad omen. And why drag my reasoning so low to your level before confronting it? Did I write about medicine or healthcare? |
samuelonyewueny:If they need money, they should go into business or undertake another career. Why undertake a career when you're certain the goal of this career is to save lives and not make money? |
First off, I'll shout "na Buhari cause am!!!". Then let's reason together. What's the purpose of the health sector? Make money or save life? Bizarrely, the so-called bone of contention is "money". Proof: only number 9 of the ultimati given by the Doctors doesn't relate directly to money. Healthcare is a scam. It's all about money. It should be scrapped out totally. Let people learn to live with suffering and die whenever death knocks. Healthcare pejorates death and suffering. (Yet any good thinker knows the idea to escape death and suffering is more or less utopian. And even if this idea is realized, it must have something of inhumanity in it.) Scrap off the health sectors all over the world! It wasn't in any way created to take care of humanity. It has always been a business sector. That's why John's Dad, being too poor to pay for a kidney transplant, was left to die of the sickness whereas Matthew's Dad who had the same sickness still lives. He was flown to India where he underwent a kidney transplant... The healthcare doesn't save lives. Money does. That's why Malaria still kills millions in a certain continent whereas another continent eradicated from it environs many years ago. Can't they eradicate it entirely from the planet? They're not there for your health. It's all about business. That's why the Corona Virus' vaccine was discovered barely 18 months after the virus struck a certain continent but the Malaria Virus still doesn't have a vaccine... because that certain continent doesn't feel endangered. I hate to think like a jurist, but let there be justice in suffering and death. Scrap off the health sectors. People used to live without them. |
True relationship is not built on love. It's built on trust. The butterflies in the stomach will die one day. The handsomeness and sensational charms will fade one day. But if the trust is still there, you're good to continue. When the trust isn't there anymore, kindly tell them to rebuild it or go their ways. |
It's wrong to break into a prison and release all the prisoners. But I'll ask you. Do you believe everyone in a prison is guilty of the crime for which they are there? So why this totalistic pejurativeness of prisoners? |
I have him in my Dream League Team. ![]() Plays him in all the positions: attack, midfield and defence. His height is very advantageous when you're playing online games. Ball wey Leo Messi go do high-jump to nod, he'll stand fix on his spot and collect it with his chest. ![]()

GRIMMJOE:Iti bolibo ![]() The purpose of my religion is personal too. |
GRIMMJOE:This is a cowardice way of avoiding an intellectual confrontation. |
GRIMMJOE:It's confirmed. You're dumb I'll reply to that question if you can tell me why you're earth. |
Martinez39s:You insist to die a dumb fellow. I have told you already that my God is not a material that I can point at and show you. He doesn't have an "identity". He is in Me. Simple. To see Him is to see me and to see me is to see Him. The same way love exists but can never be scientifically displayed is how God exist. The same way you feel love is the same way I feel my God. The same way you can't point at love as an independent being and say "this is love" is the same way I can't point at anything and say "this is my God". I'm getting tired of your dumbness. |
GRIMMJOE:The name of my God is Healer. My religion is Healerity. Do you want to sow seed in my ministry? Oluku. |
GRIMMJOE:Why do you insist to be dumb? ![]() I have seen many snakes but I haven't seen anyone of them talking. Since you seem to believe a snake talks, I'll want you to give me some proof. A video won't be bad. . ![]() |
GRIMMJOE:Don't be silly. I created this thread to plank the irrationality and the absurdity in atheism. Did you even read the thread? Nonsense. |
sunshineV:Read. Read olodo. Stop embarrassing yourself. |
1Sharon:Now get lost. |
1Sharon:I don't like talking about my religion. I like living it. The best way to learn about my religion is to see me live my daily life. Thank you. |
I'll confess. First off. That adjective "attractive" is problematic. Attractiveness is relative. What you find attractive might not be attractive to me. I like people who don't know they're beautiful/attractive. I try to let them see their attractiveness/beauty. The moment I realise someone is conscious of their attractiveness/beauty, I pretend I don't find them attractive or beautiful. |
If you know you're not attractive, don't comment. Just carry you chair and go that way. I have the list of the attractive ones... We're 4 in number.
|
1Sharon: I just realised something. In your head, any one that believes in the existence of God must have a religion. You really mean to tell me someone can't believe in God without adhering to a particular religion? And you mean to tell me one person can't have a religion of her own? |
Martinez39s:Suspect on the beat!!! ![]() If you're mistaking me for a Christian, it means Christians have one of the finest critical reflection on this planet. |
