Every culture has it's definition of education. The world seems to be so westernized today. That's why the European definition of education is more known. Being educated in an objective way is being fundamentally civilised the European way. It's not just about reading and writing. Social life counts a lot too. Education in ancient Africa is knowing the values and religiously abiding by them. Reading and writing has no place there. |
AdeOri99:This is a man-made truth. Name-calling and numbers are existential errors. They don't exist. Everything that exist is unique in it's existence and can never be summed up with another thing else. You say things like "I ate two plates of rice". This is an existential lie because each plate of rice is unique. You can never eat the same place of rice repeatedly. AdeOri99:There is no different between this truth and the one up there. All the so-called universal truths you have today were once personal truths. The entire world only need to come together and accept it. That's all. There are 24 hours in a day. The world can decide any day to make it 25.5 hours and 350 days in a year. It will automatically become a universal truth. AdeOri99:I'm giving you a benefit of doubt. Probably you didn't mean what you typed here. But if you mean it, then you simply admitted to my claim that truth doesn't exist. Mind you I didn't say "truths". I said Truth. Singular. If you admit the plurality of truth, then there's no truth. |
What is truth? No human will ever give the right answer that question. Because Truth doesn't exist. Only interpretations of the truth exists. Admit it and I'll take you serious. And when you admit it, you'll realize your claim is confused. How can someone love truth when truth don't actually exist? |
Vision101:Of course you'll be attacked. Your reasoning is so extremist and disgusting. |
This is a case of Reason being hypocritical because of her arrogance. For you, man and woman are above other beings in the world. And it is wrong that woman be less valorised than man. What about other animals that you dominate... Donkeys you make to carry your heavy loads, monkeys you put in cage in zoos, and other animals you kill and eat. You think only man and woman deserve to be respected? You think these animals don't have their right to be respected and valorised? It's either we accept that we are condemned to live with the homocentrism of the planet or we radically destroy the planet's homocentrism. |
richmond500:You left religion because of people's actions and opinions? OK OK. Lemme expose how wise you are. See your syllogism. -Some fathers are insulting and even inhumane. This was the reason why I disowned my father. Disgusting. |
Premiumwriter:It's a fact. In movies, humans "act". That means they pretend to be something they are not by assuming a movie role. But animals don't act. |
- He doesn't feel worried seeing you with other guys. |
First off. I dislike people who dislike animals... Especially if the animal is a dog. Secondly, animal videos are more realistic than humans'. Humans act and play roles in videos. Animals don't act. They're real and they show you who they truly are. |
Wrong title. The problem is not the workplace. No. It is people being irresponsible... People mistaking business for courtship. |
You're just confused in your text. No one can tell exactly what you meant to pass as message. Only the first few lines seems to make sense but the sense they made is a nonsense to someone who reasons well. What if I claim that the earth of the medieval ages is different from ours because the medievals said the Sun moves around the Earth whereas we today, we claim it is the Earth that moves around the Sun? Every age and culture has their own understanding of God. It is people's understanding of God that changes and not God himself. It is people's understanding of things that change and not the things themselves. |
Kobojunkiee:Your God is a puppeteer. You're his puppet. Thanks for letting us know. Now get lost. I don't reason with puppets. |
Kobojunkiee:The title "Saint" in the Church's Traditions is like saying "Mr" in Western tradition. Many people have the title of "Saint" but it is optional "to believe" in their Sainthood. Mark the verb "to believe". I can be a Christian, address Veronica with the title of Saint but not believe her to be in heaven or be a good person. The same way I can address a Barrister as "My Lord" (or whatever title they go by) without believing he is my Lord. |
Any good person must detest extremism and avoid their adherents... Gender-related, religion-related, race-related, culture-related, all of them. I don't care if we're of the same gender or race, I treat you like a stranger if I realize you're an extremist. |
Differentiate between the human action and the will of God. It rains today can be the will of God and not the will of man. But the person you marry is 100% your will (the person's and yours). Keep God out of it. God becomes a puppeteer the moment we affirm He's the author of our actions. |
JBsconcept:Tufiakwa gi. So you're married? And reasons like this? My advice. Don't talk to your woman again. She won't talk back to you anymore. Nonsense. |
Kobojunkiee:You're just dumb. Your illiteracy is disgusting. You comment on people's texts like you've got some scores to settle with them. You seem blinded by some prejudices and never read to see the truth in a text. Where did I write "I believe" Veronica to be a Saint? You're a fool. Does talking to someone about Prophet Mohammed makes me a Muslim? |
Kobojunkiee:. No difference. You still sound naïve and childish. If Christians should live according to Jesus' commandments (do this... don't do that...), tell me why you're using a phone/computer whereas Jesus didn't command us to do so. Stop being moralistic. The gospel of Jesus is not moralistic. Humans invented morals. And if you insist to follow Jesus' commandments literally, make sure you turn your other cheek when you're slapped on one (Mt 5:38-42), make sure you don't think about your future (Mt 6:34) and make sure you hate your mother (Lk 14:26) See you in heaven. |
See over-sabi. Why not be humble? Op said: "By worldly I mean schools or education that are not based on [b]truth,[/] or schools that mix Lies/Evil with Truth/Good." What is TRUTH? Pilate asked Jesus that question and Jesus didn't reply to it. An ignorant fellow like you, after learning how to read and right, came online to form wise. Bashing a particular system of education for not being based on truth. Tell me what truth is and I'll call you Lord. Nonsense. |
Very beautiful article. That Ammishaddai of a fellow reasons like a pre-socratic being. Disgusting. "...do all our problems have a spiritual origin? The answer is No. Again, do all problems have a spiritual solution? The answer is still No..." If you agreed to those affirmations, then you're simply dumb for criticising the write-up. |
The OP and the first commentator are two arrogant Christians. You don't "know" the intentions and plans of God and have no logical right to say what God can do and what He cannot do. |
Kobojunkiee:You sounded naïve and moralistic. Jesus' message is not essentially moralistic. He told humanity "how to live" and not "what to do". There's a different between "love your enemies" and "give money to your enemies". The first tells you how you should relate to your enemies while living you the choice of "actions to take". There are many ways to love. But the second tells you a particular way to love which is only one out of the many ways. You're reading the Bible from a moral perspective because your doing literal interpretations of the message therein. The messages aren't to be taken 100% literal. If not a lot of things there would be absurd and meaningless to us. Secondly, what do you think about this claim you made? Kobojunkiee:. Isn't it too myopic to judge an entire group of people with the experience made of some few persons in the group? |
You most likely are a Catholic. Before Christianity got many denominations, there was "The Church". And this Church uses The "Traditions" in addition to the Bible. With Luther's revolution, Protestantism was born. The Protestant Church dropped the Traditions and held uniquely to the Bible. How the Apostles died are recorded in the Traditions and for this reason, not all Christians believe it (I doubt protestant believe in them). Only those who still uses the Traditions do... mostly the Catholics. I realized this difference in belief the day I told a Jehovah's Witness about St Veronica, the woman that wiped Jesus' face with a linen when Jesus was on his way to Calvary. The guy told me to show him where it was written in the Bible. I was surprised to realized it actually wasn't recorded in the Bible. |
