Its a fact rustlers from plateau & Benue made serious damage to the only trade these people knew. What do you expect from them ?, they choose to behave like Romans in Rome,by doing crime too, the rest is history.
The good news is that FG should declare amnesty on them and also give them some cows so that they will go back to their ancestral trade. No one can finge ignorance of their brutality, I don't pray my enemies to encounter them. May God protect us all, God bless Nigeria

Lai Mohammed  while appearing before the House of Representatives’ Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, disclosed that Nigeria is denied foreign loans over herdsmen/farmers’ clashes. According to the Minister of Information and culture, the Federal Government had to engage an international public relations consultant to manage the bad press following the misrepresentation of the clashes between herdsmen and farmers by the foreign media.

He further revealed that they had to send delegations to the United Kingdom and the United States, to execute media campaigns. Lai Mohammed who was asked to explain the engagement of the foreign media and PR lobby consultancy contracts awarded by the Federal Government, disclosed how Nigeria  was denied foreign loans over herdsmen/farmers’ clashes.

He said; “This government has been denied loans because of the misinformation that have been spread out there. The world has become a global village and what happens in Nigeria today reverberates all over the world. And we, in the administration, face a lot of challenges, especially from the comments of the foreign media, from the sometimes hostile positions of foreign governments, even foreign parliaments. So, it is the duty of the Ministry of Information to regularly lobby and address international media in the countries.

“I remember that in 2018 we made two trips to the UK and two trips to the US, and these two trips helped tremendously in actually helping the people in the Diaspora and foreign governments to understand the real dynamics of the herdsmen/farmers clashes.“Until we got there, the impression held by many of them was that the thing was Christians/Muslims, North/South and that time we had to book for interviews with CNN, BBC, Aljazeera, Reuters and AFP. I think it is an important part of governance so that if you cannot mould their opinions, at least it can give them the opportunity of hearing our own side of the story.”

It has gotten to a state of terrible happenings recently and the politicians are using them, equipping them especially those in powers and in oppositions. Its so terrible thing my brother. Things are really getting out of control in this country faster than expected. imagine spreading to other major cities like this. But i wonder how ameachi was able to curtail their excesses when he was in power. The irony is that wike that served under ameachi and part of those that got solution then seems looking the other way now while the state turns to unrest.
