I mean it makes no sense to go and suffer in lagos and Abuja all in the name of waiting for a local flight of which if you miss, you will wait till d next day. Like if i use another flight, i will ave to sleep in lagos and it mean booking for a hotel and waking up early to catch a local flight of which i will still pay again. it makes no sense to me. Flying direct to Coal city less the stress and expenses.

Another flight is en-route now. i was actually tracking flight 911 to Abuja this morning. It was cancelled. May be no much passengers but Enugu is on its way

Men i saw that yesterday. i was amazed. Initially, the Ref thought it was no goal but has to say its a goal when he finds that ball in the net and it was so fast. the players and goal keeper thought it was a goal too. it was the players jugging on the back of the post that saw the net was teared and complained but the ref has already awarded the goal.

you can blame the ref though. not his fault at all. lines man did check the net before the start of the match and found nothing. its not ref fault but he was confused as to say its no goal.

Probably the impact will not be felt right now. its just few months ago the airport start operating. At least people will be decongested in Lagos airport in particular.

Right now, ET flight is En-route to Enugu as i write. One landed yesterday. When you start hearing of Increasing the Flights to Enugu to daily, know that the demand has increased and so shall it be. Also, may be by the time the international terminal is completed in Enugu as well as i other places of the country, other airlines will start to apply to fly to Enugu. One should not try to discredit this new developments and one should also not envy the improvement been made. Yes Lagos and Abuja Remain no 1 in Nigeria but other places do deserve to be developed like them.

I don't know weda am the only one seeing it differently. But the state of affairs at the aviation sector has made me more concerned.

Did you see big trucks, machinery and other equipment showing that there are actually working on an international project? Did you see the chinese expert that was given the project to handle may be around the airport premises? Wish to get the answers but thanks for the one u have provided.

Personally I don't know if Cpt Ore meant his comments in good faith, if he was speaking out of ignorance, or if he truly is averse to any perceived competition to beloved Lasgidi. But one thing is clear, that we need to decentralize points of commerce and industry from Lagos. If only this simple Fed Govt policy to develope the South East, (coming soooo many decades belatedly) could generate such criticism from him, then imagine what would happen if other similar policies come up to further open up the South East to the world.

I personally don't think Cpt Dele Ore bears any animosity towards the Igbo. However, this goes further to show how much so many Nigerians have taken for granted that all good things in Nigeria must be situated in or around Lagos/Abuja. Wrong! And did I hear some people saying that it's not advisable for a country to have more than one or two points of intl entry/departure? I beg your pardon! London ALONE has got THREE international airports - Heathrow, Gatwick, and London City. Heathrow with 5 terminals. Countless intl airports abound in US. Virtually evey major city has got one. Houston, Dallas, NYC, D.C, Baltimore, etc etc etc.. from coast to coast!
The important thing is the ability to get airlines that will make any intl airport their base. THe Ethiopian chaps have not complained that they're running at a loss in Enugu, and I suspect that by the turn of the year, some other airlines (some of whom may already be operating in Nigeria out of other intl airports) will also rush to Enugu. Of course, El Al is a key one - GEJ is going to finalize Nig-Israel BASA in Israel this week. Who knows, perhaps five or less years down the line, those of us who have been complaining that the Igbo don't want to stay in their zone may be surprised.

If they remove the minister, I doubt if the project will be continued believe me. If u re in Enugu, try to save us the whole worries by taken some pix of the new terminal. Wat made Lagos wat it is today is the migration of people from all regions which was caused by Airport and seaport. Lagos now need to be decentralized. The population there is much. What the FG did about Enugu airport is good. Helps to decentralize Lagos and promote other regions.

There is no point someone trying to prove a pointless point. If the Airport is not viable or patronized, it will close on its own.

However, on december period, these airport will really get busy that the Ethiopia airline will begin to wonder wat a wise decision they made by flying to the airport
