While I was taking my usual saturday stroll looking for weddings receptions to eat free good hotel standard meals. I saw one that caught my eye. It was in an open garden. I arranged myself properly and entered. I saw the card/banner that had "joel weds bisi" I said what a coincidence that the bride shoould bear my gf name. She told me earlier that she was travelling for her aunts wedding in ibadan.
Only for me to sit at a round table gazing around and admiring the place waiting for my meal to be served, when I saw my gf or what look like her in wedding dress far front. I couldint beleeve my eyese, and I ran to the front shoutung "BISI" "BISI". She see me and froze. I reach , slap first, and asked what is the meaning of this.
People gather and start asking what happened, she deny me there, say she never see me before. I come rush the groom throway am punch. Them rush me, call mopol

Next thing I know am inside police cell, I began to cuss and swear for her and myself on how she could be cheating on me for over 7months. I even cussed the groom.

The officer carry me go atm the next day and I withdraw 25,000 and bail myself. I was crossing the road when a more convincing thought came to me, "could she have been cheating on her fiancee with me instead of the other way round??"

I decided to put this here cos I feel this might be the appropriate and there's no explicitly stated section for internet.

Am bringing an important internet tip which many of us need including me!
many times when trying to download something from some site (especially Indian owned sites) you'll be taken to some survey and or advert site such as adfly to perform some survey before being taken to the actual download link and its very very much annoying I bet you hate it as I do,
but today now am bringing a remedy to that, you need not worry any more about advert links, don't quite your plan to download that file because of th e survey.
Here's how to skip it.

when you've see the file you want to download, check the link to know if its a survey/advert link. if it is, copy it, inorder to copy right click on the word housing the link, you'll some options if you use fire fox select 'copy link location' if its other browsers there would be similar options too.

Now after copying the link go straight to de-ads .net( remove the spaces, I added it cos I don't want to be banned by the spam bot) you'll be provided with a box to type in your link, at this pointyou paste the link there and click 'Deadfly'
After clicking deadfly, the page will load to bring you the original link so you can download.

that's all


but incase this method didn't work(only rare cases tho) go to my blog using the source link to take you this particular post cos there are other methods there but i chose to bring this here cos it's been working fine for me.

I really don't know wether it is, but to me it is, cos when i went to their site,i saw nothing I mean nothing reasonable(i.e I can't figure out their job,) the worst part I don't know its(the bot's) name I would have blocked it using my robots.txt file

If that is it, well, I haven't really worked with blogger to know how their spam security works and how easy it would be to implement the mathematical verification in their long confusing codes, but I do know one way is to 'prompt/force a visitor to log in either anonymously or with their google account, before they can make a comment. Even though am sure this might not work at times, but it would reduce the spams.

Iam_Godzilla: I wouldn't suggest blocking ip adresses, why? Because of 1. What if I goto japan and decide to visit ur site?
2. What if am using an isp in nigeria that somewhat uses some technology in japan, which gives a japan ip address...
3. If you do not want to use captcha, why not use the mathematical form, where they just have to add or subtract numbers! That isn't much.
4. You could go through your logs and find out what ip address has been visiting your site, and if possible what page of the site. Its from there you could find what 'specific ip address to block'
But u should also know, hackers,spammers don't usually use their real ip addresses....
5. As for akismet.....I only know its been used on cms .but hey google is your friend.

please how can I add that mathematical verification to my blogger blog cos am having the problem of spam comments in huge numbers plus there's one stupi.d crawler that keeps coming to my blog, not from a search engine but from one stu.pid site(semalt.semalt.com/crawler) can you also help me on how to block it.
