Segedinho: I don't think Kovacic has anythin to do with it
Kovacic is a good player but lack d final touch.
I would understand if u had said "James" d guy tends to kill attack by his back passes even when there is better option forward... Yes it’s James, his forward pass is abysmal. Azpi is still better than him as a full back. |

Segedinho: I observed a twist or rather a tweak in Chelsea's recent games...
We tends to go direct instead of unnecessarily holding onto the ball and passing around..
Who else notice this... I noticed it too, it’s Havertz effect, he is direct with his play. In ucl final, kova Kante pivotal, Havertz Mount and warner to start upfront. Pulisic as sub. Azpi should be managed before that day to play RWB because James kill attack. |

ShadowCracker: Havertz suprised me . The way he bodied Ramos, and had him chewing grass was legendary . I told you Havertz is mentally strong. I was praying for tuchel to start him tonight and he did. In a tensed game like this Pulisic is good as a sub, when opponent is tired. Starting Pulisic in a tensed game can disrupt the game either by getting injured or mentally fragile which becomes an advantage to opponent. |

BikeMan: What are you saying? Pulisic scored the only goal
I don't know how I feel about Werner and Havertz against Madrid. Pulisic is talented but he doesn’t have that warrior type of play in his game, he look fragile and brings emotions to the team spirit which automatically become an advantage to opposition. |

raumdeuter: How much is needed to overhaul an ageing team before they can win trophies? or you expect him to continue using Yaya Kompany, Sagna etc who went into retirement Abi why is Chelsea not using Gary Cahill and Cech right now Basically, your complaint is How dare Pep did not win with players who are old and retired im not complaining I’m only saying he is the only manager that has the liberty of signing a player this window, the next one same player is sold to buy another one. With that alone he is ahead of other managers already. E.g, nolito, bravo, mangalore, fernando, Danilo, etc. No top six coach in the league has that luxury. |

E.g Naggelsman hired by Bayern, what would he win that has not been won before by the players? That means nothing Naggelsman can win will qualify as a success given your criteria
Same for any coach who managed Madrid, Barcelona Liverpool etc Will the coach overhaul Bayern and spend 1b before winning those trophies? |

KingAlabi: Yeah, he has age on his side and he has improved somewhat in his attacking duties.
Did you know that wan bissaka has more goal contribution in the premier league than Reece James this season? I’m not a fan of James like that honestly, irrespective of his offensive play he is limited too. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by hensben(m): 10:27am On May 05, 2021 |
KingAlabi: Before United both wan bissaka, we knew he was a defense minded RB(his primary duty), what was looked at was his age and the possibility of putting some attacking traits into his game(which has been quite successful). Bissaka was no waste of money if you ask me. The guy is good defensively, but no top clubs use his type of full back any longer. |

ouzo1: England Call up na by press hype and him no get luck for that side. that kind chest control no dey give u balance. Technically, poor controlling skills like chest control, trapping and ball movement are the traits of amateur players. Not true, Wan Bissaka is not better than any of those RB been called up. Like I said his pattern of play is old school. |

that’s why to me SAF will always be the GOAT manager, he always adapts.
that can be argued, Spain were already playing tiki taka with Luis Aragones.
Pep though really brought it to limelight. Yes, that’s what I am saying at the bolded. I know he is not the one that started it. |

ouzo1: but na professional him suppose be na. For someone who was a winger for that matter. He is not getting England call up for a reason even when he is playing for Man U. The guy is not a modern day RB. He is not expressive with the ball, just tackles like old school defenders. I remember then, our coach then always shout at us when we chest ball like that. |

weedtaker: of course he has, Mourinho is and will always be one of the greatest managers ever. But he’s not that much NOW.
He is past his prime.
Pep now is among the best of the current crop. I think the type of players mou use for his tactics are no longer playing football. Mou tactics rely strength, pace and counter attack and only average team want to play that way now. Pep tactics revolutionized modern day football I think. |

Panther7: It's not about the amount of money spent but the quality of the signings. Imagine, signing a right back that can't attack for 50 million, A midfielder that can't pass for 54 million and a defender that can't head the ball properly for 80 million and you want to win trophies .
Pathetic! This is why it’s good to have a quality coach, they spot technical players and not jam body. In football, technicality before strength and physique. You see Bruno performing because he is very technical with the ball. Pogba was mismanaged if not he would’ve being consistent. |

raumdeuter: The condition of the club was that they had exceptional players in almost all position yet Mourinho couldnt make a final with them
Mourinho has now shown that his level is Spurs and Roma Is it not funny that when Mourinho was signing for Roma, Pep was making a CL final Simply because pep always go for the easy route so as to remain relevant. Aside man city or maybe psg which other team is ready to spend 1b on players without selling valuable players too for fees. Pep always run from task jobs. Exceptional players that were underperforming in Europe. |

Illimitable: Don’t mind the hater.
This was what Florentino Perez said about Mourinho during the ESL interview….
”Mourinho raised the level of competitiveness in the three years that he was here. And since 2011 we have reached nine of 11 Champions League semi-finals. I will always be grateful to him for that gene that he implanted in us. Before [Mourinho arrived] we were always getting knocked out in the last 16." They know the truth admitting it is their problem. Who doesn’t know mou made Madrid formidable again by making three ucl semi final in a role. |
