Pogba can only play LM/free role, assigning him to a disciplined midfield area is asking for too much. He is doing well in France because of Kante, Matuidi, nzonzi... these are strong midfielders that can tackle for him to play his free role. Pogba is not the type of player assigned to a tactical disciplined role, just free him to move everywhere and play his mind, then you will see his best. Man U have been wasting his talent by using him as CM, he can not dictate play and his off ball movement is average. Defensively, he is poor.

So Ziyech is the extra body you are looking to. The guy is an average presser. He would be easily bypassed. To make things worse his average pace means he is not good enough to lead counters.

Me, I prefer warner Havertz Mount to start that game. Puli goes to the ground easily which slow down attack. Puli is good against teams that play open games or average team. Madrid too solid to play someone like puli, he will be hidden.
