Second - a defender can operate as a center forward ..... with varying levels of efficiency off course (your words and logic). Since the level of efficiency is not so important, I wonder why coaches don't replace strikers with defenders when the strikers are not delivering. Why not switch the roles of Torres and Cahill? bro you dont understand football at all no offence, in football, we have CF,ST,LWFR and RWF, these positions can interchange, then we have CMF, AMF/BOX TO BOX and DMF, these positions can interchange too in the field of play and then, we have LCD, RCD, RB and LB these position can also interchange but telling cahil to play torres role thats very lame cos no coach will do that, schurrel to play torres role, azpilicueta to play LB or ivanovich to play terry role, or david luiz to play DMF, this would have be a perfect example.
