Thats OK. But what will u say about those kids with close monitoring by their parents who still turn out bad?

Close monitoring doesn't mean going extreme like caging them, of course I would give them freedom to see life from their on perspective. All I will just do is make them my best friends and them not being scared at my presence, this will enable them open up to me easily so as to guide them through life until maturity.

my dear, some of these kids are way better off in the boarding school. My younger sister and I have a different, hardworking, independent attitudes unlike the rest of my siblings who attended day school. Most parents this days, are just too busy to really monitor kids 24hrs of the day. All thanks to hustling. If u can instill good morals in ur kid from childhood, u don't have to be scared of good boarding schools.

You are one of the lucky ones who escaped boarding school nasty practices and acts, I tell you of a truth no matter how busy I'm as a man it will never stop me having a quality time with my kids. I rather not have kids than leaving them in the mercy of some teachers who gat their own worries too.

Boarding school is not really the problem here. I am speaking out of experience. I was once a boarding school student. And I guess I turned out right.

It is easy for the parent to blame it on boarding school but I guess they missed the sign when he was with them. They cannot categorically say he learned that bad behaviour from boarding school.

There were many of us who turned out right.

Yes some students could get mixed up with some bad elements in boarding school but some could equally learn good stuffs from good kids.

However, I agree with you that they should seek help for their kid as soon as possible.

If the parents had personally formed a closer tie with their kids monitoring him closely the damage won't be as much as this.

If the western peeps who brought in formal education hardly take their kids to a boarding school, boardings are meant for the orphanage child or children with no guardians but here in Nigeria the case is otherwise.

The white people who created boarding school then was because there was limited schools back then and kids would come from far places to study so the best option is to board them. I don't support kids with parents taking their children to a boarding school, if they can't sacrifice their time for their kids why did they then decide to make kids ?

Don't you know bad communication corrupt the mind most especially at that teenage age in which their gulibity high. The fact is that you can never know exactly what is going on in those kids hostel, cause the innocent faces they wear is highly deceptive.

As for me I will monitor the daily progress of my kids, so I could checkmate where their strength and weakness lies.
