US has only made progress in creating Space Force, a clear violation of United Nations' use of outer space policy. As it stands now, maintaining existing millitary hardwares and bases now costs more than necessary according to Washington, such that it could collapse the military within 10yrs amidst rising debts in the US.

Microsoft has never filled for bankruptcy. If anything, it once famously saved Apple from going bankrupt I think in 1997/98. Not so sure. Apple in itself did not file for bankruptcy, but was in murky waters financially.

20yrs? It's practically impossible for US to remain strong with Trump in the next 5yrs. US is strong today because of her global influence not only the millitary. Imagine a lot of criticisms and mistrust coming from European leaders in recent times, the greatest US allies for that matter.

Imagine people prefering Canada over the US, some wants to go China to study instead of US. With coronavirus, American debts, and continuous weakening of global influence, America would be second superpower after China before 2030.

Let me add this, I didn't suggest China as number one based on emotions but on facts on ground today. Firstly, millitary; today China has the largest number of warships in the World overtaking US in November 2019.

Secondly, China dependency on US has reduced to the lowest level in history and still continuing. For example, airplanes, China now has her own commercial jet manufacturer, Mobile OS, China now has her own- Harmony OS,

Thirdly, finance. China controls over 60 percent of global cash today US itself survives on part of this cash from China. If China's eRMB succeeds, that would mark the end of US dominance of global monetary system.

Militarily, the US is still years ahead of any Country. China is playing serious catch-up. You may need to check the accuracy of that statement about China overtaking America in terms of Warships. For instance, America still has the highest number of Aircraft carriers.

Who built those bases? American contractors. Who is maintaining those Bases? American contractors. Who is bearing the environmental impact of those Bases? Germany. There is nothing like free aid. Even the aid given to African countries is not free. At least 60% of funds used for delivering aid ends up as administrative cost that is recycled back to the US economy.

Kindly note, Russia is not in anyway enemy of US. In fact, after second world war the money US lend Britain was given free of charge to Russia. UK just finished paying back in late 2017. Trump hasn't increased his base from 2016, rather he has lost quite a significant number of voter groups. Trump promised to do things differently back in 2016, which didn't work out even before the Covid pandemic.

For Biden, unfortunately under this present climate is a better choice. His years in the Senate, VP for 8years and bipartisanship will get enough votes from independents and progressive republicans who aren't comfortable with Trump style of presidency.
