Pneumonia are of different types, not all are caused by cold. Broncho-pneumonia is d type d xray diagnosed and dis type is not caused by cold. As for TB even a day old baby can contact it. It is spread by air from one person2 another thro sneezing, cough, or by talking i.e if one happens 2be around a person dat hs untreated TB. So it hs no age limit.

Baby u are healed IJN amen!! Tks for d info. Any little changes i notice on my kids, hospital straight. Sometimes Dh will calm down me to relax dat is nothing, mbok not me. Its ok only when d paediatrician says no issue.

Early February I started noticing my lo sweating excessively, he will sweat and his clothe will soak, whr he laid wl luk as if water ws poured. At night I will be changing him clothes cos of wetness. It continued d hole of Feb, nd we entered March, it bcame worse dat dh nd I tk turns n staying awake to change his clothes. We change up2 10clothes b4 dawn. I started asking other mothers if dats hw thr baby sweat cos mine is no longer sweating bt drenching, dey told me is nothin2 worry abt dt babies do sweat alot i shld kip changin his cloth dt it wl stop. I went2 a midwife friend, she tld me same tin dt its normal babies are known4 dt. It continued nd March finished, d sleepness night ws so stressful. I tld dh dt i wl tk lo to hospital, he wanted2 discourage me sayin dt nontin is wrong wit d baby. I had already made up mind, let doctor be d one2 tell me dt. So i tuk him2d hospital d week of Easter. We went2 paediatric section, whn it ws my turn4his temperature2 be taken d Matron asked wht is wrong wit my baby, i tld her he sweats alot. Her response '' JUST THAT''. Well ws already in d hospitl so no one cn discourage me. I went2c d doctor after all questions hs bn answered ws sent4 2tests namely MANTOUX AND ESR. D result came out 2days later. His mantoux ws positive 10mm, his ESR ws 45mm very high. Tuk d result bak2 d doc. He started asking me more question, like if my lo ws givn BCG nd whn, is thr anybody coughing dt stays wit me, if baby is coughing. Dey did Hiv test it came out negative. He refferred us2 DOTS Clinic wit a referral letter. Got thr, ws asked to do chest Xray, did d xray went bk after easter holiday. D Xray said baby hs Bronchopneumonia. Bt doctors said from d luk of d xray nd d symptom is nt bronchopneumonia bt TB. My lo is nw on TB drugs, he wl tk it for d next 6months. Now if i had nt taken dt step or discision wht wud hv happened. Babies cant talk, he ws jst sufferring inside losing appetide. I thank God for giving me dt discernment. Mothers lets be observant not all sweat is normal. So i say let me share. Abeg any typo error shld be ignored.

There are varieties of story books in bookshops, home videos, or better still reading of Bible stories. Make a choice.

D woman tuk 4 pints of blood b4 she ws operated. D baby boy ws already dead, d woman went into coma dat yesterday. I nw asked him hw is ur wife nw? He said "doctors say she don die, but i no gree say my wife don die". I asked him whn did doc tell u ur wife hs died? He said "for morni". I asked if dey hv removed her, he said yes. 4my mind whc one cm be u no gree say ur wife don die whn dey hv removed her since morni and dis is eveni. He asked me if d midwife is bak, i said she is not bak , her number is not even going. He said "u see wetin person dey do em fellow human being, dat d midwife knew dats why she travelled. Apportioning blame cant bring bak ur wife nd baby. Will go nd pay a condolence visit 2morrow. A case dat wud not hv led2 dead. I'm even imagining if she ws not taking her routine drugs dat made her tk up2 4pints of blood. D midwife no try too, according2 dem d woman ws in antenatal on monday, after d antenatal d midwife travelled dat same monday. Very sad incidence, mother nd child gone after all d 9months wahala.

Today I witnessed hw preeclampsia functions. There's dis midwife who newly moved to my area, her house behind our compound and she uses it for delivery. This morning we heard someone calling4 help and shouting "God pls dont let dis woman2 die". My hubby said is like somebody is in critical situation thr o. We opened our bak gate door and saw d landlord of d building going in, nd he later came out. I quickly rushed thr, whn i entered I saw d nurse holding a preggy woman. She had a spoon placed in her mouth, d preggy wman hs convulsed. The nurse ws asking me to come nd help her. I asked about d midwife, d nurse said she travelled. I said ok whr is her hubby number let me call him to come quickly and take his wife2d hospital, she does not hv his number. See me shaking, i requested for kernel oil, atleast lets apply it on her, it ws not available. D nurse ws begging me2 assist in holding her. Dat i shld go nd call taxi. As i step out a little boy said he knws her hubby nd whr dey live. Thank goodness, i asked him2 pls go nd call d man, d boy left running. Within a few minutes see d hubby running dwn, nd its someone i knw very well. He brought a car, he ws panicking telling d wife notin will hapn2her. He asked me to cm nd assist in carrying her2d car, mehnn! D wman is so swollen dt it bcam impossible i had2go out called 2men God will reward dem dey came nd d woman ws put in d car naked her wrapper fell out her water don burst, leg so swollen. Dey left wit d nurse, if not for my baby i wud've gone wit dem. Nw i am sooooooooo angry, why? D nurse came bk2 say on d way d hubby decided2 take her2d church dat is attack, attack ke, a man dat saw his wife in dat kind of condition, d baby will be in distress. D nurse left dem thr nd came bk. I pray notin shld happen2 her. I am not just happy 2day cos of d hubby decision. God pls let notin hapn2 dis wman pls. Are dey afraid of cs or wht, cnt jst tell. If dat woman dies, na d hubby kill am.

my baby weighed 3.4 at birth and I noticed that he's loosing weight drastically. he's in his sixth week and weighed just 3kg last night. The peads suggested that I monitor his feeding and check back in two weeks time. He requested that I express and feed him 40mls every 2hrs.
This is someone that feeds and sleep very well because we are on exclusive. I'm sure he also gets enough breas.t milk because after each feeding I feel so light my Brea.st relaxed and flatter. I only noticed that no matter how much he sucks, his stomach would not really get bulgy maybe due to his tiny statute. my mother suggested that it's oka ori and prescribed some herbs but nothing seems working. I've even decided to introduce formular if need be because I'm so confused and devastated.
P.S. I'm not a first time mum and his brother did so well with exclusive.

Pls introduce formular. When he feeds atleast there should be a little sign of it visible in his stomach, and him becoming heavier after feeding. Since that is not happening he might not be getting enough milk. Have u tried expressing ur breast milk to see the quantity u can produce at a go? Pls introduce formular and watch hw it goes.
