I am one of those that went for the oral interview. We did it at NERC Headquarters at Central Business District, Abuja.
Congratulations. At least they didn't waste a spot by shortlisting someone like me that will not honor a physical interview. I hope you get selected eventually

This might be the case. Someone close to me went for his/her documentation and collection of appointment letter for a job in CBN this month. Though the person had his/her virtual interview earlier this year. He/She is to resume next month.
MDAs jobs are not for all!

Is this a private university? I thought the other publics schools only charge €1500 per year for those that are not free.
It is a private University. Arden University in Berlin.

Have you registered for an appointment already? Also, which category do you belong to for visa application?
I have not registered. From investigation, I should belong to category D.

I have an admission for an Msc program in project management that is to commence in September, 2023. Based on what I have been seeing here as per appointment, is it still feasible to get an appointment before then ?

Please I need advice on this before committing the fee deposit of 2500 Euro.

I can understand Olowozain's point of view. I had been there before twice and it was a waste of time and resources on the two occasions. I wrote the test because it was brought down to my base, should I scale through and the interview won't be conducted virtually, that will be the end of the NERC journey for me.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission ("NERC") Is Recruiting. by Hessian: 5:59am On Dec 10, 2022
I listened to the recorded preparatory class for the test on Twitter and I could see people that needed this job and have prepared seriously. Kudos to them. I just hope the recruitment won't end the way others did after so much commitment from the applicants.

Good luck to everyone!

Olowozain:
My personal experience on first ever government job application experience was awful Manager-Research Analytics role with over 10 years of experience span across major project in the electricity power sector, with track record of conducted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points workshops at national and international conferences with over 300 audiences from 30 countries represented- couple with national and international awards and achievements. Since applied June, (6 months ago) was expecting straight interview with the senior management, what we received is another CBT at a jamb center after 6 months of application. Terrible!
I had been to 2 interviews at the FCT on different occasions and never got selected.
Major reason I posited that I will never attend any physical interview for any of the government jobs again!

I heard they replaced the profiles of excellent candidates for people who had connections within. Guess I might be wrong.
This will be necessary only at the final stage when issuing the appointment letter.

Yes as previously mentioned. The next stage is now confirmed to be 10th Dec..next Sat 7am for those who were successful at the first virtual CBT. Congratulations. At the completion of this next stage which is strictly based on the experiences in individual positions applied for, there will be physical panel interviews at the FCT which will signal th completion of the recruitment exercise.
Invitation mail has dropped as well and it will be honored.
However, I won't be honoring any invitation to Abuja for panel interview. They should make it virtual!

Shortlisted for the CBT at my location on the 10th of December. Time is 7am.

Does going for the test worth it when nearly all the slots have been shared among themselves?

Those of us here have served the purpose NERC needed us for, to make the recruitment process looks competitive. However, those that will be given the jobs are not here on NL.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission ("NERC") Is Recruiting. by Hessian: 10:47pm On Nov 04, 2022
NERC has started showing her level of insincerity and unseriousness so soon. It took NNPC just 30 days to release interviews invites after conducting test in 2019. I wrote a cognitive and personality test of one of the big 3 telecom companies mid October and feedback was provided that same October.

Most of these government MDAs are terrible in terms of planning!

It is a waste of time and resources. I will never travel to the FCT for such.

Thanks for the information. Never will I go for any physical interview for any federal government job again even if I am shortlisted.

They should explore the option of virtual interview.

If NERC does not communicate this week, then it may be another abracadabra like others. 4 weeks are enough to do the sorting that is required.

If the package is less than N10m per annun (gross), I may not take it if I am selected eventually !

Xclusiveman:
I’m not an agent and really, no one really knows how these people operate. However, here is what I think:

I don’t think you should include it. Another way to look at it is to think through all the online profiles and interactions you’ve had. Have you ever declared your MBA publicly online? If not, then consider to declaring it in your application.

Ordinarily, an academic masters, which is want you’re going for, is different from an MBA, but like someone rightly said, it all depends on the VO. You don’t want to leave anything to chance and try to keep it simple. The more complicated your case, the more difficult it is for a VO to understand, the more time it takes and the higher the denial chances.

For the proof of funds @frankielilbaby is correct as far as I know. Most of these guys go on student loans to finance their college education and they know it’s tough. All you have to do is show PoF for the first year tuition and living expenses. No stress.

And sometimes, all these financial reasons for denial are generic and denials are often a result of a plethora of issues. Best bet is to put forward a very strong and properly indexed SOP to address the concerns a lot of people have highlighted here.
The MBA is on my LinkedIn profile. This has been declared online in so many instances.

Thanks for your input

I need advice please. I have a first degree in Economics (2006). I have an MBA (2022). I also have 14 years experience in Sales and business development. Now I want to apply to a Canadian university to study for Master in Business Economics. Does it make sense to include my MBA qualification when applying ?

I am very new here please!

Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

The junior staff can still fill up the vacant roles. It happened with NNPC recruitment after external candidates had their interviews, the slots were eventually filled by internal staffs. This is Nigeria where anything goes!

I have been shortlisted as well. I applied to one of the managerial openings. However, I know stuffs like this can easily go south. The excitement is not really there!
