Singer Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo popularly known as Blackface has hinted that members of the defunct group Plantashun Boiz are reuniting for a project, Igbere TV reports.
The group made up of Blackface, 2face and Faze disbanded in 2004.
Blackface announced the forthcoming project in an interview with Naija FM on Thursday.
Announcing his music plans for the year he said: “Expectations for this coming years, I go like to tell una say I go do another video for Plantashun Boiz very soon and I dey work on a project called the return for the band Plantashun Boiz.”
After the split, Blackface released the hip hop album Ghetto Child in May 2004 collaborating with a number of artists.
In 2021, he settled his feud with 2face. Their fight began after Blackface accused 2face of recording the hit song ‘African Queen’ without giving him due credit.
The music star also said he was never jealous of 2face. Blackface said this in an interview with Chude Jideonwo.
“I’m not jealous of 2face, why would I be jealous? 2face has always been the one everybody likes and I’ve had people throw that at me telling me ‘You know you have problems with him why you gonna have problems with him? Of course, we are going to have problems,” he said.
The two singers were urged to bury the hatchet at a tribute organized in memory of Sound Sultan.
Actress Nkechi Blessing could not hide her joy as she met veteran actor Pete Edochie on a movie set, Igbere TV reports.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 32-year-old shared a video of her sharing a passionate hug with the veteran as she hailed him.
Expressing her excitement, the actress stated that meeting Pete was an emotional moment for her as she grew up watching the ‘legend’. She also noted that Pete Edochie was her late mum’s favourite actor.

Popular TV personality and winner of Big Brother Africa 5, Uti Nwachukwu has threatened to expose two major bottled water companies over rising diarrhea concerns, Igbere TV reports.
He expressed his concerns on Tuesday via Twitter.
According to him, these companies have started adding “chemicals” to their water and it is causing serious discomfort.
“Dear bottled water companies, please what have you started adding to your water? If I wanted to projectile poop 6-7 times a day, I’d have bought slimming tea!
“What’s all this? It can’t be only me! And it’s the biggest brand o! Two of una now! FIX IT make we nor call una name! I knew there was a problem when I was popping steady and it was smelling of chemicals! Like sanitiser! Or Alum or something!
“I stopped the first one. Poo ceased. The second one, no issues. I bought a small bottle and it was worse! This one came with ab discomfort, acid reflux and yes watery poo”.
Nwachukwu urged these companies to fix the problem or risk being called out on social media.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday posted his favourite photos of the year compiled by his personal documentary photographer Tolani Alli, Igbere TV reports.
He introduced the photos on Instagram with one where he is seen running into his office to pick up a phone call. The picture was taken on April 24, 2021.
Prof Osinbajo said he loved the image for so many reasons which he did not mention. He, however, appreciated the creative excellence put into the work and that which young people across the country put into their works.
“I’ve always expressed how impressed I am with the creative excellence displayed by our population of young people. No one can pretend not to be, and it is only right that we keep encouraging this amazing potential of theirs,” he began.

Media personality Osasu Igbinedion, who is the daughter of former Edo State governor Lucky Igbinedion, is engaged, Igbere TV reports.
The 29-year-old got engaged to longtime lover Nathaniel Ogwuche, said to be a top wedding and event cinematographer from Benue.
Igbinedion shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday from the marriage proposal witnessed by close friends.

Singer Harrysong has welcomed his baby girl to Nigeria weeks after his wife gave birth to her abroad, Igbere TV reports.
The excited father shared a video of himself holding his baby on Instagram on Thursday.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment to hold you in my arms, welcome home Daviva, we love you,” he wrote in parts.
In an Instagram post on December 9, Harrysong announced that his wife had been delivered of a baby girl, adding that he is the happiest man of 2021.

Actress Tonto Dikeh has said that the year 2021 was a year of love and betrayal for her, Igbere TV reports.
The mother of one said this in an Instagram post on Wednesday, while giving a rundown of her experiences in 2021.

Tonto Dikeh made headlines in September and October over her messy break-up with Prince Kpokpogri.
The 36-year-old actress accused Kpokpogri of cheating on her and being a scammer. Tonto also claimed that her ex-lover had sex tapes with the women he slept with including that of dancer Janemena.
Unimpressed by the manner her name was dragged into the controversy, Janemena threatened to sue Tonto for defamation, demanding the sum of N500 million as compensation for the damages done to her name. Tonto’s former friend Bobrisky also shaded her several occasions.
Instagram comedian Gloria Olorunto aka Maraji has opened up some of the challenges she faced in 2021, Igbere TV reports.
In a video shared on YouTube on Tuesday, the skit maker, who had been off social media for 12 weeks, said she had a painful hemorrhoid surgery earlier this year, a private wedding to her lover who is based in Ghana and conceived almost immediately which was not planned.
“In the beginning of the year I had a hemorrhoid surgery done. I took a break before, during and after it….the recovery process was hard….because mine was worst,” she said.
Speaking on her private wedding and pregnancy, the Maraji said, “We just wanted to do it and get married, it was quick, it was within a month, small wedding in a sitting room, my family and his, then shortly after i got pregnant which is crazy because I have PCOS…we were surprised because we had sex just like twice when pregnant.”

Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of actress Tonto Dikeh on Friday shared a Christmas photo with his wife Rosy Meurer and their son, Igbere TV reports.

The couple had on Thursday celebrated their wedding anniversary.

Popular Nigerian actor and Instagram comedian, Williams Uchemba has issued a warning about the growth of fake prophets professing to have received divine messages.
Uchemba took to Instagram to condemn the false prophets, alleging that their teachings are not backed up by the Bible. The actor then began to teach his audience how to recognize God’s messages.
He wrote, “There is a massive release of false prophets recently claiming they heard from God but can’t back up a single thing they say with the scripture.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Toyin recounted how Fani-Kayode criticised her nun-inspired outfit, she also slammed him for dragging his ex-wife and bringing their personal issues to social media.

Music manager Don Jazzy on Wednesday joked that he would be coming out of the closet following the rumour that he is gay, Igbere TV reports.
The 39-year-old made this known in an Instagram post while reacting to a blogger who accused him of being a homosexual.

Afrobeat singer Femi Kuti has said that bagging Grammy nominations with his son Made Kuti is extra special.
The music star said this in an Instagram post on Tuesday. Femi also thanked the academy for the nomination.
“When you get to share Grammy nominations with your Son, @madekuti it’s extra special. Thank you to the academy, (to everyone who voted #Legacy+) @recordingacademy for the recognition, my wonderful team and family,” he wrote.

Controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has described herself as a gold digger who pities no one, Igbere TV reports.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the movie star also warned her admirers not to “come near me if your gold is weak”.
“I’m digging goals and gold now. Don’t come near me if your gold is weak cause I no pity you I will dig it.. and that of your future! Yes, I am a wealthy Gold/Goal Digger,” the actress wrote.

Ajay Ajimobi, daughter of the late former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi, has alleged that some bouncers at a nightclub in Ikoyi area of Lagos tried to assault her, Igbere TV reports.
The 24-year-old wrote on Instagram stories on Saturday that bouncers at Cocoon “tried to put hands on her” but she was rescued by her own security team.
“Shortly after this we got into a fight at Cocoon Lagos. Your bouncers are okay with assaulting women. #misogynists. Picked the wrong ones though. Imagine being this cute and some sexit loser pig tries to put hands on you. No now,” she wrote.
Ms Ajimobi did not state what led to the incident with the bouncers. She, however, said she had to call them out to prevent future occurrence to someone else.
“Everybody should learn to keep their hands to themselves. Tell your bouncers to chill. They are not officers of the law or anything. TBH they arent shit at all so please be guided FR,” she added.
Ajimobi, who is a graduate of the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, also said on Instagram stories that she informed her mother Florence who promised to visit the nightclub for further action.

Ziggima singer Bright Chimezie on Wednesday took to social media to announce his son Chukwudi Chimezie had been called to the Nigerian bar, Igbere TV reports.
The ‘Because of English’ singer’s son will be inducted on July 29 at Eagles Square, Abuja, according to Bright.
The excited father wrote in a Facebook post,
“Today I celebrate my son, confidant, friend and legal adviser, Barrister Chukwudi B. Chimezie Esq. LLB; as he is being sworn in as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on the 29th of July, 2021.
