Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed he caught his estranged wife Precious Chikwendu in bed with another man, Igbere TV reports.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain made the claim in a series of tweets on Saturday in reaction to a video showing him allegedly abusing the woman.
Claiming his wife recorded the clip as propaganda against him, the troubled politician said: “There was NO physical abuse.
“I simply took the phone from her to stop her from recording me after catching her in bed with a married man days earlier.”
Igbere TV reports that there have been multiple claims in the media that Fani-Kayode physically abused the former beauty queen with whom he has four sons.
But the man who confesses to having a “short fuse” said in the tweets that “I repeat there was NO physical abuse whatsoever and she had been insulting and subjecting everybody, including family members, staff and children, to PHYSICAL and VERBAL abuse the whole day. As usual, it was a nightmare!
“My words in the video are self-explanatory. I urge those that watched it to listen to those words carefully. I told her that everyone wanted peace except for her and all she did was indulge in scandal after scandal. I have NEVER physically abused my estranged wife.”
Controversial US-Based Nigerian Doctor, Stella Immanuel Tells Trump To Use Hydroxychloroquine To Cure His COVID-19
US-based physician Dr Stella Immanuel has urged President Donald Trump and the first lady Melania Trump to use hydroxychloroquine after they tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), Igbere TV reports.
Mr Trump had tweeted on Friday morning that he and wife had begun quarantine and would “get through this together”.
In reaction to his tweet, Dr Immanuel questioned the president for not using hydroxychloroquine for prevention despite campaigning for the country to use it in the treatment of COVID-19.
“Sir you exposed the effectiveness of HCQ to us. Why did you and FLOTUS not take it for prevention?” she asked.
“You did not need to get covid19. HCQ, zinc, Vit C and D and you will not get sick. Praying for you and your team sir.”
Igbere TV recall that Immanuel came under attack in July after she spoke at a news conference in Washington, claiming that hydroxychloroquine, zinc and Zithromax were effective cures for the virus.
“For the past few months, after taking care of over 350 patients, we’ve not lost one. Not a diabetic, not somebody with high blood pressure, not somebody who asthma, not an old person,” she had said.
Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore has called on singer Burna Boy to join the #RevolutionNow protest planned for October 1, Igbere TV reports.
Sowore made the call in a message he shared on social media on Tuesday.
According to the former presidential candidate, many describe Burna Boy as a revolutionary musician and he has been likened to the late afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.
Questioning the musician’s activism, Sowore wrote “I am yet to see you lead anyone to a police station carrying a coffin for head of state!”
Sowore leads a group known as Coalition for Revolution (CORE), organisers of #RevolutionNow protest.
The first protest was staged in August 5, 2019 and the second edition on the same date in 2020.
Igbere TV reports that the October 1 protest is planned to hold in all 36 states across Nigeria as well as in London, Sweden, Netherlands, San Francisco, New York, Washington DC, Germany and Canada.
Burna Boy had not responded to Sowore’s invitation as at the time of filing this report.
The musician has, whoever, said he does not feel good about comparison to Fela.
“I don’t think anybody in their right mind would compare me to Fela.
“Fela is my inspiration and my childhood hero, so if you think comparing me to Fela is honourable, it’s actually not.

Popular Kenyan comedian and social media sensation, Elsa Majimbo, has signed a new deal with Fenty Beauty.
Known for her satirical monologues, the 19 year old announced the partnership deal in a 47 seconds long campaign video posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
She also took to her Twitter account to share picture of Fenty Beauty products she received from the brand saying “My 19 year old self literally got a chance to work with @FentyOfficial.”

Other eyewitnesses who recorded the video from a secret cover, while commenting on the incident said “They know the male victim, the man likes woman, good for him, they are now in trouble”.
Thomas Cook splitted jackpot with his Wisconsin friend Joseph Feeney to honor the made promise they made with each other.
The Wisconsin friends in 1992 held each other's hands and promised that anyone of them that ever win the Powerball jackpot shall split the lottery winnings with the other.
28 years after making the promise, Thomas Cook of Elk Mound honored the promise when he purchased the winning ticket for a $22 million jackpot at a gas station in Menomonie in June.
"It was quite an experience. When I read the first two or three numbers, I kind of froze", said Cook in an interview Thursday with the Wisconsin Lottery. He revealed that he was eating breakfast at the time. He passed the ticket to his wife and "she froze" also. The next thing he did after realizing he won was to call his buddy.
Feeney of Menomonie revealed that he thought Cook was joking when he received the call. "that happened many years ago", he said but Cook replied him saying "A handshake's a handshake, man" even though "that happened many years ago".
Feeney revealed that both of them would buy lottery tickets every week but never thought they would actually win.
Wisconsin Lottery press revealed that the friends chose the cash option of about $16.7 million and they will take home roughly $5.7 million after federal and state taxes.
Feeney had already retired from the fire department before the occurrence. Cook, who has children and grand children, retired from his job after the winning as revealed by the press release.
None of them had any profligate plan for the money but both revealed that they want to spend more time with their family and explore the world.

The 47 members of Boko Haram/Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorist groups who surrendered themselves has been properly received by the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in Lake Chad and it environs.
In a statement released on Friday, the Chief of Military Public Information MNJTF N’Djamena – Chad, Col. Timothy Antigha revealed that the terrorists recently gave up themselves and their families in Sector 1 of the MNJTF.
The Colonel revealed that the failure to actualise the establishment of a caliphate in the Sahel, constant power tussle in the ranking of the terrorist groups and ethnic tension act as catalyst to the surrender.
He revealed that a veteran among the surrendered members, who admitted to have participated in various attacks on Banki, Fotokol, Gambarou Ngala, New Marte, Chikun Gudu, among others, had shown frustration with the lack of progress in the jihad.
Antigha quoted the surrendered terrorist as saying, they could progress due to the engrossment of the leadership in the pursuit of material things.

“The force is therefore vindicated by the testimonies of the surrendered terrorists who spoke on their own volition.
“Consequently, the MNJTF renews the call on other misled fighters in the bush to come out. It is important to add that MNJTF Troop Contributing Countries have structures and programmes in place to receive all those who surrender.
“Similarly, the MNJTF urges communities to accept repented terrorists back after their rehabilitation, even though some of them had perpetrated heinous crimes.
“The MNJTF shares in the understanding that such a gesture by communities will go a long way in the continuing efforts to defeat terrorism and build peace in the Lake Chad Basin,” he said.
A tanker explosion which reportedly happened near Koko junction section of the Benin/Sapele Expressway, Ethiope West Council area of Delta state on Wednesday has reportedly burnt atleast 17 people to death.
It was gathered that four vehicles reportedly got destroyed in the incident.
Multiple sources told IGBERE TV that the sad incident occured around 8am while the police said only three persons died in the inferno.
According to report, the petrol-laden Eveco truck was trying to manoeuvre a bad spot when it fell.
The said truck reportedly exploded when residents of the area rushed to the scene to scoop fuel.
A reliable source said driver of the tanker had gone to report the incident and residents scooping fuel at the Police checkpoint in Koko junction when they heard the explosion.
The source said the victims, though unidentified, included a man and a woman.
A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi capital, with no life lost.
Igbere TV reports that the building, located at Nkaliki Road opposite the Abakaliki Local Government Council Headquarters, collapsed on Wednesday morning.
Kenneth Ugbala, the Secretary to the State Government , who visited the scene among other top government officials directed the immediate sealing of the site and demolition of the building.
Commissioner for Internal Security, Stanley Okoro Emegha, who was also at the scene of the incident directed the police to arrest the site engineer.
Special Assistant to the Governor on Capital Territory, Chinyelu Udoku who was also present at the site with Chairman of Abakaliki Capital Territory Development Board (ACTDB) Dr Uche Onwe, directed ACTDB to produce staff that approved the building and all those in charge of monitoring the construction.
Onwe said preliminary investigation revealed the builders used sub- standard materials and the building had a lot of structural defects.
“The Engineer attached to the building did not do any professional work. The quality of iron rods, the mixture, concreting are not up to standard.
“You can see we have sealed it, there is a lot of compromises even from the foundation,” he said.
The chairman said the Board has launched an investigation into the incident, adding all those found culpable will be arrested and prosecuted.
“The building is going to be demolished today and evacuated. Every building has a town planner, an Engineer and a professional builder attached but in the course of construction these people compromise
“This structure wasn’t approved during my time but we take responsibility for it because government is a continum.
“We will trace the file to know if it was actually approved for three story and if it followed the stipulated standard.
“We will make arrests and prosecuted them as soon as possible,” he said.
A Federal High court in Benin on Tuesday July 7, 2020, rejected the request by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for September 19 governorship election in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, to prolong adjournment, Igbere TV reports.
Following his failure to appear in court on (today), the court also ordered Ize-Iyamu to appear in court on Tuesday July 14, 2020.
Ize-Iyamu is standing trial for eight counts of money laundering to the tune of N700m meant to prosecute the 2015 general election, in a case preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Justice Mohammed Garba who gave the order on Tuesday following the absence of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who is the first defendant in the suit No. FHC/BE21C/ 2016, however did not order the arrest of Ize-Iyamu, who was said to be indisposed.
But the judge held that the hearing of the pending motions challenging the jurisdiction of the court would be held on July 14, 2020 after rejecting the oral request for a prolonged adjournment of the case by the Counsel to Ize-Iyamu, who argued that his client will not disobey the order of court.
Justice Garba stated that the last time somebody was here, he (the judge) made an order for the accused person to appear in court or face arrest.
Earlier in his application to the court, counsel to the first defendant (Ize-Iyamu), Mr Charles Edosomwan (SAN) told the court that his client was sick and thereafter presented Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s medical certificate which was also admitted in court as evidence without any objection by the prosecution.
The accused persons including former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr Lucky Imasuen, Mr Efe Erimuoghae-Anthony and others are facing eight-count charge of money laundering to the tune of N700 million meant to prosecute the 2015 general elections.
Speaking during an interview with journalists, Mr. Pascal Ugbome, Counsel to the Second defendant, said "the case was adjourned due to the inability of the first defendant (Ize-Iyamu) who is sick to be present in court.
“And we were served with medical certificate to the effect that the first defendant is sick and he is unable to be in court because he was indisposed and then adjourned the case.
Also speaking, Mr. Charles Edosomwan, Counsel to Ize-Iyamu, said “the case couldn't go on today. The court had to adjourn because the first defendant and the court in the circumstances, adjourned the matter to July 14, 2020 for hearing of pending motions. We have a motion challenging the jurisdiction of this court. That is what is to be held on July 14, 2020.
“The first defendant’s motion is not the only motion in the suit. Other defendants also have their own motions challenging the jurisdiction of the this honourable court.
“There was not threat of Ize-Iyamu's arrest, but the judge said that we should be in court on July 14.
“He (Ize-Iyamu) has never missed a court date. Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu will come to court if the circumstances are correct. The laws provide him (Ize-Iyamu) protection as far as he is willing to face his trial.”
Responding to the court order, the EFCC Prosecution Counsel, Mr. Ahmed Imoovba, said the matter was adjourned consequent upon the application of the first defendant who is unavoidably absent in court. He is said to be sick. The judge ordered him (Ize-Iyamu) to appear on the next adjourned date.
Our Correspondent reports that unlike the previous hearing, security was relaxed around the court premises.
In a related development, the Federal High Court in Benin presided over by Justice Mohammed Garba on Tuesday adjourned the suit to determine the mode of Edo State All Progressives Congress Primary election to July 23, 2020, pending the determination of the pending motion of appeal at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
The court adjourned the suit, following an application of stay of execution by the Counsel to APC, Chief Henry Ogbodu, SAN at resumed hearing of the case.
The judge held that he will take a decision on the suit pending the outcome of the motion at the appellate court.
The office of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation has debunked a false news being circulated by an online media platform that a property in Umuahia marked "EFCC UNDER INVESTIGATION KEEP OFF" belongs to its Founder, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
In a reaction to the information in a telephone chat with IGBERE TV, the executive secretary of the foundation, Rev. Jemima Kalu described the news as "misleading, false and malacious."
According to the executive secretary, "the news report is the handiwork of paid agents who are acting on behalf of their masters to blackmail Senator Kalu. The marked buildings by the EFCC is not Senator Kalu's property and it has nothing to do with Senator Kalu."
While calling on the general public to disregard the misleading news, Mrs Kalu called on the perpetrators of the evil act, to desist from tarnishing other people's image for selfish goals.
The office, however stressed that it would seek legal action against the online media platform.
The former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has vowed to build mega fish farms in Aguleri and Enugu State, Igbere TV reports.
Aguleri, the largest town in Anambra North local government area of Anambra State.
The Senator who is representing Abia North Senatorial District said this during a farm tour of Shabu Integrated Farms Limited on Saturday.
The Farm, according to information gathered by Igbere TV is owned by former governor of Nassarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
According to Kalu, “My intense passion for agriculture is similar to that of my colleague and it was an opportunity to have a personal experience of his fish farm in preparation for the opening of a large fish farm in Aguleri and Enugu.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that the 2019 Voter register will be used in the conduct of September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State, BlitzPaper reports.
The Resident Electoral Commission in the State, Dr Johnson Alalibo Sinekiem disclosed this on Thursday while fielding questions from journalists on the sidelines of Edo State 2020 Governorship primary election of the Peoples Democratic party.
The Commission however did not give reasons for the decision, but it clarified that there is no cause for alarm as there are no challenges.
“No! We are not updating the Voter register for now. We will use the 2019 register”, he said.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner the PDP will increase the tally of political parties fielding Candidates in the forthcoming poll to nine who have conducted their primaries on Thursday ahead of the State Governorship election which would be conducted in line with Nigeria Constitution, the 2010 electoral Act (as amended) as well as Covid-19 protocols.
“The Commission is ready and and 15 political parties are fielding Candidates in the election. They have notified the Commission to contest the election.
“So far, at the end of today (Thursday), we are going to have political parties who would have concluded their primaries in Edo State”, he stressed.
Sinekiem, also revealed that Stakeholders consultative meetings which is expected to feature heads of the various security agencies will begin next week.
Igbere TV reports that a Nigerian, Martins Inalegwu, 31, was on Wednesday arraigned in a court in the United States for allegedly playing part in a wire and mail fraud which federal prosecutors say defrauded victims of over $6 million.
His wife, Steincy Mathieu, 24, was also charged, although she remained at large.
The couple, both of Maple Shade, New Jersey, were said to have carried out the scheme from October 2016 through last month, Igbere TV learnt.
Prosecutors said they, including several people who live in Nigeria, helped run an international romance scam that used bogus profiles on dating websites to woo dozens of victims.
Mr Inalegwu and wife allegedly collected $3.1 million directly from victims. More than 33 victims have been identified.
According to prosecutors, they spent the money on personal expenses, transferred money to other bank accounts they controlled and moved funds to bank accounts held by conspirators in Nigeria and Turkey.
The conspirators were also said to have defrauded people through fake real estate business.
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, elder statesman and former Governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, on Monday, declared that Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in 2023 was nonnegotiable, IGBERE TV has learned.
Nwobodo spoke in his Amaechi country home when a chieftaincy title was bestowed on him by the Amurri Ancient Kingdom, according to Dailypost.
There has been clamour for a power shift to the Southeast at the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure in 2023. However, the Southwest is also believed to be positioning for the slot.
But Nwobodo is insisting that for justice and equity, Igbo presidency must come to fruition in 2023.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, on Thursday was hosted by the House of Representatives, Igbere TV reports.
