That's just under 100k in a year. Some mfb in Nigeria like Palmpay, Fairmoney and Opay are giving 20% or more in one year for fixed deposit.

Exactly what came to my mind when I read 9.7% per annum. And even the banks you mentioned, are licensed by cbn and ndic insured which means, one's money is saved. So, what's the essence of goin for 9%?

It’s becoming very frustrating to scroll through nairaland these days, tribalism and terrible insults everywhere, if it’s not a heated exchange of insults between Igbos and Yorubas then it would be arguments and confrontations between Feminists and redpillers, if it’s not any of those ones then it would be Muslims vs Christians vs Atheists😫🤌
I can’t even go through the food section without seeing tribalistic comments, I’ve abandoned Politics section because of the toxic things I read there everyday, nairaland gave me the impression that tribalism to an extent is deadlier than racism, the owner of the forum and its numerous mods aren’t even doing enough to curb this rubbish, I’ve been on nairaland since 2009, and I must say, this isn’t the forum I grew to love, knowledge and entertainment has gradually changed to a toxic space of tribal bigots, it’s very sad tbh
Some of those unfortunate tribalistic elements will now come out and shout “if nairaland tire you, commot body” 😪🤌

I had less then that amount some years back. I venture into POS business even when I have close proximity with Banks, it didn't stopped me from trying. No single POS around there then and I fink people concluded it doesn't worth it hence, the absence of POS kiosk. But I must say, "it part of the best decision I had taken" Na me know Where I dey today vs then.

If you have idea of agriculture, why not give it a try? With part of the money not ALL oo like I had already said, it depends on your location Sha. If na person like me, I would use 1million out of it to buy Mellons in bags and resell back in the next 3months. My siblings and I also do this business with zero regret! But, we don't put all eggs in one basket.
