Possibly the longest building in West Africa or beyond The greatness of Great ife cannot be over emphasized. As a result, a new amazing structure has just been erected inside Obafemi Awolowo University that has got the astonishment of passerby. This is due to the exceedingly long length of this structure that is beyond the imagination of many. Possibly one of the longest structure in the world. It stretches about 0.3Km from health sciences through Faculty of pharmacy and OAU museum. OAU is known for her super architectural structures but this is a bit unique. Recently the university is seen to have been endowed with some newly beautiful structures that is complementing her original known structures and many still under construction. All alumni should note that OAU is not the same way you left it years back as many new changes have taken place in the ivory tower. Without doubt, OAU is indeed a centre of tourist attractions. GREAT IFE!

These languages are the top funniest and hilariois language in Yoruba land of south west Nigeria according to HighIQ. How funny do you find these languages? 1) EGBA DIALECT- The speaker of this language are from Abeokuta and its environs in Ogun State. Apart from the fact that the Yoruba Bible emanated from this particular language. It is also very apealing and funny to the hearing. The language is very unique in vocabulary and expression and can be regarded as the funniest language in Yoruba land. A native of Egbaland can easily be recognized in a community and they are often given the nickname."Babal'egba" for man and "Mamal'egba" for woman. 2) IJESHA DIALECT: They are mostly from Ilesha, and other Ijesha environs in Osun state. If an Ijesha man from Ilesha or its environ is to act as a commedian in an event or a movie get ready to laugh out your guts because this set of people are very funny when they communicate with their local language. Some funny and special words and sometimes abusive words are common in the language. The popular actor Olarenwanju Olayinka popular known as Baba Ijesha became the choice of many producers in Yoruba Movies due to his amazing and funny Ijesha language. 3)IJEBU DIALECT: This language is also very funny. No wonder mamy movie producers love to use the popular Yoruba actor Tayo Amokade in most of their movies. The language is very funny and weird expecially to other Yorubas not from the territory. Welcome, here are some big courses with a potential of rendering those who studied it into a state of regrets. They are big courses. There names sound good to the hearing. But are these big courses really what they claim to be?. Or are their other courses or profession competing with them.? Let take a look at them in MY top 5 listings below. 1) PETROLEUM ENGINEERING: This is a very big course to many. And a lot of people who study this course are potential workers at the oil refineries and oil companies. But after these places where can a petroleum engineer work? Absolute no where! Apart for the fact that these graduates compete with graduates of other engineering courses for the limited vacancies they are equally likely to be ignored since it is a restricted course. Chemical engineering which encompasses major chemistry of engineering including Petroleum engineering are great competitors of these people. It means if a petroleum engineer is unable to get a place in the oil industry or oil company. It may become virtually impossible to get any other job due to its nature of restriction. 2) MASS COMMUNICATION: This course also sound so good but apart from the fact they are only resticted to only the mass media, graduates of English language and other related fields are also strong competitors of these people. 3) BANKING AND FINANCE: This course also sound so beautiful and it can easily attract the.mind of Jamb candidates into studying it. But the fact is that the banking sector is a very open sector to virtually any graduates even the science students and yoruba graduates. So at this time, your been a graduate of Banking and finance won't matter at all. The worst is that you are likely not going to get any Job outside the Banking sector. 4) INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: Everyone want to be an international man but does the course really profess the name it bears? 5) MEDICAL BIOCHEMISTRY: Even biochemists are highly respected not to talk of a whole Medical Bichemist. But the fact is Medical biochemistry is under Bichemistry and as a result a restricted course. So they are likely to depend only in the hospital for a job. But sadly, graduates of Medical laboratory science have taken over most of their hospitals and likely to be a great competitor or combater of these set of people. |
If you antagonize other people success you won't be succesful @ poster . Have you forgotten so soon that there were wrong marking this yr JAMB where most brilliant candidates were scored low in some days of the exam. You forgotten so soon. She may be 10 times better than you. If you like lalasticlala put it on fp because I know u might be birds of the same feather. Enemy of progress @ poster. Mchtewwwww |

In Nigeria, Some students immediately after finishing their final exam in the university starts jibilating, celebrating and doing all weird things to celebrate their final examination. Unknown to many of them, that is just the begining of pontential waywardness and severe career.and employment challenge. As a new era termed "hustling era" had just begun. So if you don't have the strength or creative enough to hustle , DO NOT NEAR THE FOLLOWING COURSES. 1) Philosophy, Sociology and anthropology, Psychology, Geography, History, Public Administration 2) Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Industrial chemistry. 3) Biochemistry, Anatomy, Microbiology, Physiology. 4) Zoology, Botany, 5) Agric courses, Education courses People who study these courses may eventually opted for masters to become a lecturer where they will equally be subjected to work for many years to become a Professor while other due to unemployment may be subjected to other business. |
Nonsense, must we continue to struggle for everything in this country. Even to enter JS1. Mchewwww |

CaptainEColeJnr:you are misled. Your category is in number 1 point -- Ignorance. I don't know where u see a doc who remain unemployed for 2, 3 years. This country needs more doctor unlike the very few ones we have currently in the country. Imagine only 2 doctors working in a general hospital? We need more and more doctors per hospital and more hospitals. I think this current gov will achieve that. |
CaptainEColeJnr:Doctors are selective and never unemployed. There are places doctors can work in. But they all prefers big big hospitals and others like National hospital Abuja. Making them stay home for few months. As a I said, not all those that studied medicine have passion for it. Most doctors wish to work in urban areas and big hospitals. |
painful experience |
THEY INCLUDES--- 1) THE IGNORANT STUDENTS-- Ignorance is a big disease. A lot of Nigerian students are just too unaware of the courses they are going to study. Some eventually ended up wasting their four years on campus, studying a course that has no value in Nigeria. I have seen graduates of courses like Anatomy, physiology etc complaining and regretting getting a job even after graduating with a CGPA above 4.0. 2) THE "RUSHING" STUDENTS--- Some students although they have strong passion for a course but yet may give it up after about 2 , 3 UTME attempts. Reason-- They are just too in a hurry to graduate, settle down, have a job, get a wife etc. They consider time and age. As a result, such students ended up in a course they don't have passion for. Only to end up living a miserable and regretable life after university. 3) THE RELIGIOUS STUDENTS-- It is a good thing to trust in God. But many students have forgotten that God always give men opportunity for second, third etc chances. Some after trying JAMB for once and were given another course, let say, animal science instead of Medicine. Due to his over religiousness, such students may say "well, maybe God wanted me to study animal science, maybe it is the will of God, I will take the course like that". As a result, he gave up on his own dream and ambition. 4) THE POSITIVE MINDED STUDENTS-- These kind of students believe strongly that there is no course you can't be succesful in . If only you can aim to be the best in a any field you find yourself, then you are destined for the top. Regardless of whether you study agric, zoology, psychology or whatever. So when such students are denied their dream course for another course, they give it up easily. 5) THE "JOB AWAITING" STUDENTS-- This type of people also have a dream or a goal perculiar to them in life. But the over 30 industries and companies owned by their parent or any other connected family friends or relative attracted them. They will definitely get a slot or even become a general manager of one. So why should they waste time running after Law or Pharmacy? As a result they decide to settle for any course just to get a degree. It doesn't matter if they have third class or pass after their degree programme. The truth is that they already got a slot or big job waiting for them after graduation. 6) THE "SET BACK FEARFUL" STUDENT-- These type of people see other students as competitors. "All my friends are in university already, and I am still here writing JAMB because of this course I am running after" As a result, they stoop low for less course, just for the fear of been seen as a set back among their equals. 7) THE PARENT PLEASERS-- These people chose to go for that course because they were forced to do it by their parents. They never intended to study it before. A student who dreamt of been an architect, now forced into medicine and surgery. 8 )THE HYPER FEARFUL STUDENTS-- Ordinary sighting a medical textbook on anatomy or the last year's cutoff mark for medicine can make them to give up on their dream to study it. There are many things to cover and read up in medicine. So this got them scared. Such candidate might immediately go to purchase the change of course form at Jamb office the next day. 9) THE FINANCIALLY UNSTABLE STUDENTS: This aftects many students.Though they are academically qualified. But money won't allow them to study such course because it is financially demanding. So they give it up. |
