GoodDieYoung:In this hot weather? It is easier said than done. So why are most agriculture graduates not engaging in Farming? It is expensive to set up.As I have said lands are now expensive to purchase and the issues of theft, fulani herds men and so many other factors such as maintenance, goods perishing, low fertile soil can cause any weak graduate to crumble in without delay. https://www.nairaland.com/2634461/10-professions-nigeria-still-practice |
GoodDieYoung:deceive no one. Even a half plot of land in most places can cost as high as 600 thousand. Tell me where can an ordinary graduate get money for hectars of land that can cost up to 100 million naira to cultivate crops? Tell me? Alongsides maintenance and machineries like tractor, plough, irrigation transports etc? |
INTERMAN:exactly |
An elite was once asked what could be the causes of the high level of unemployment in the country. He replied " the courses studied by most students in the higher institution" The point is there are some professions in Nigeria that does not exist at all. Meaning going to study such course is a high tremedous waste of time. How can a student say I have passion for animals, plants, soil. I love to play with flowers. I love farming etc. Shockingly, most students that studied such courses to fill the vacuum of their passions may end up with unrelated professions like teaching etc. The following courses does not exist in Nigeria. 1) Microbiology/ Biochemistry-- Those that studied medical laboratory science has sent these people packing from our hospital labs. 2) Zoology/botany- I heard of a zoologist who now works in Mr biggs 3) Anatomy/physiology- There is no available slot for a bsc holder of these courses in our hospitals except in the motuary. They have to further to be a lecturer. Infact, medical doctors are equally competing with them to be lecturers in those courses 4) Soil science/ Animal science/ All Agriculture courses---A five-year course that.may end u been disapppointed. 5) Physics/ Mathematics/ chemistry- (in an upper musical tone voice) ....be ready to be a teacher. ¶¶ 6) Psychology/ philosophy/ Demography/ sociology-- I am just dumbfounded. hmmm Courses where you are been taught "how to kick your ass" 7) The list goes on and on. Note- I am not saying those that studied the above course won't be succesful in life. But my point is they may eventually end up in a profession not relating or fully engaged to the course they had studied in university such as teaching, banking , Immigration Job, Police officer etc which are even thug of war to get. |
medicine and dentistry is still 6 yrs we don't want 7 years |
you will only end up making the man more popular |
I really feel for you guys who are victims of huge error made by JAMB this year. The error is real and true.Imaging a jamb official admitting that some of the answers were not captured and processed by the serve due to poor network service. A candidate who score 35 questions correctly may end up with just 23 been submitted meaning instead of him getting 70 his score will be 46 in that subject. The error could be caused by the server system and not JAMB itself. God will see you through. I think this protest will only help for next yr JAMB but I don't think there is anything JAMB can do |
micodon:did they write it on the 27th, 29th, 7th and 8th? Or don't you read people posts all over the internet b4 commenting? |
micodon:Your are correct but in this case firget the theory if success .JAMB is at fault. The body is a scam. Imaging a man who works at JAMB saying some of the answers was unable to be processed by the server due to bad network service. Meaning the answer is automatic zero. The body is fraud. Those guys scoring below 200 deserves mich than that. JAMB even added extra 40 marks to them for their own errors. Mr man. with this obstinacy of urs I am sure if you shld av sat for that exam you won't be able to score up to 180 and it will shock you and kept on asking how come. By then you will become an humble man. And know that this life is not a bed of roses. Other side factors can be involved. |
micodon:how many people have u turned down and fail to assist in past yrs. because as I see you, it is obviois you lack understanding and compassion. We need to beg, postrate or probably roll on the ground for proud people like you who lack understanding because u see everyone as the source of their predicament . As if you are the one that help JAMB to programme their computer system that auto mark script |
NuelCrown:NATURE I Pray thee. There are still some people in this life that deserve to be humbled. Nature, let this man who typed this above face a huge challenge that will keep him humble. An unexplainable, mysteries and life occurence that he won't be able to know how to explain how it happened or what actually went wrong. A situation where he sees that he has been cheated. A situation where he will complain and no one will believe him. Experience a great teacher will teach you how life really is and how not to belittle people in life challenges. So that you growing wings will be folded and your swollen ess like bread that fell inside water reduced! |
micodon:Mr Man. You better shup up your mouth and stop puffing up yourself like a bread that fell inside water. JAMB made a lot of errors in their markings this year. I am sure more than 95% of those that sat the exam did not get thrir actual. score. If u that you are talking sat for that exam I am sure you wld av shockinly got 113 instead of 250 u are expecting. By then you will learn how to be humble. Anyway experience is a great teacher. Proud people like you needed to be trained a big lesson by some negative unfortunate and unexplainable mysteries of life.!! |
samuelgambo:You are yet to be great in life and you already puffing up yourself like a bread that fall inside water. You got above 200 and you are already growing wings belittling those that Jamb failed. They shld try better because u know book pass them. They dont know book abi? It is proud and compassionless people like you we need to |
Kondomatic:A lecturer of mine told us in Class some times ago. Are u saying my Lecturer is lying? Don't let my oga at the top catch you o |
Dunsin89:why are u abusing me? Don't u know that I am the creator of the official First thread on Nairaland in 2016? Don't let Mr seun catch you o. |
Jadekitana: |
Seun lalasticlala |
Dunsin89:Bad network be patient.

There was a funny incident I heard of that happened inside OAU long time ago. Some group of women on sighting the building which is the School's Faculty of Education, Started shouting " Hey it is about to collapse o!! The building is collapsing!" etc. lol, the building was actually not collapsing, but the women in their ignorance thought so due to the amazingly "Slanting" structure of the building. There are many beautiful and gigantic structure inside OAU with each having its own uniqueness. But the following faculties - Education, Law, Social sciences, Administration has a special view that appear as though they are collapsing. The most beautiful of these four is the faculty of Education situated adjacent to the "Tripplet buildings" ( Law, social sciences and administration.) It also contain the school Radio station [ GREAT FM 94.5].I am sure a lot of people will avoid passing beside these Structures for many months long ago after it was completed with the fear that it may collapse on their heads. See the picture below. PHOTO CREDIT: MUYIWA OGUNNAIKE'S BLOG THIS IS FACULTY OF EDUCATION
