Another one is Th ---- f
Anything with t th is pronouced as F .. So thing = fing
Thought _______Fought
Thick-------- fhick

Lalasticlala fp pls so those wannabe can learn properly for when they want to form britico hehheheh ...

Thanks for recommending.

I made the thread not so "perfect" , so it wouldn't feel like complete hardwork to learners. Trust me those little gaps were deliberate.

I particularly love the "th" and "f" pronunciations, many Brits say "mafs" when they mean "maths". Cool!

but when you speak "correct" nobody gets what youre saying

my personal favourite is the way Nigerians say "therefore" and "thereby" when having an argument. I can never stop laughing at that

and its interesting how Nigerians tend to use words that have been left behind in the UK, like prostrate, rusticate etc

I had never even heard of those words before I came to nairaland

And the way they say "this your" or "that your", like this your book

and "cloth" instead of "clothes"

and my own instead of mine

You are a british somebody abi? Lol

some of these are grammatical errors but some are correct English, just Nigerian English

But can't be correct english and "Nigerian" at the same time na. Choose who you serve Jesus or Caesar grin

•People say this a lot when on the phone, but it's wrong. "Can you hear me" is right.

My names are Richard Kehinde Edward undecided

•Your first name, last name and middle name, form a "full name".

When strangers ask for your name, they mean your full name, and how many full names do you have?......One!

So better put, "my name is Richard Kehinde Edward".

Can you recite the poem off head? grin

• "Off head" means without a head, that would mean having your head cut-off. What you should say is "can you recite the poem by heart".

•There's nothing like dishonest truth. You can only speak "the truth".
