Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Has Two Brains by Hillard: 4:06pm On Oct 23, 2021
What happened today is one of the most clever maneuvers in the history of Africa. Nnamdi Kanu has two brains. You are about to find out how…

When the CIA wanted to destabilize Jamaica in order to exploit it's mineral resources and allow the big US companies to invade the country as they did Nigeria, a man with two hearts stood up to them.

Bob Marley used his powerful reggae songs to slow the invasion. But he paid with his life. The CIA through a hitman called Bill Oxley poisoned Marley with cancer. The same thing that happened to Dora Akunyili.

You are about to hear something strange…
The fact of life in Africa is that if you stand up to oppression, the big countries, firms and individuals that have special interests in your country will come for your life.

This is exactly the reason why the office of the chief liberator of Biafra is one of the most delicate positions one can occupy on earth. You have to survive a lot of assassination attempts, you have to play the game like a maestro. Anything less is death. In this case you must be a superhuman.

Do you know why?
Agip, Shell, Chevron, Total will gang up against you and you can imagine how difficult it can be to escape their long poisonous tentacles. Just a call through the Dark Web is enough to make you disappear.

Is Nnamdi Kanu a god?
To survive the spears of a thousand enemies, you must possess a thousand lives, if one dies the other lives. Nnamdi Kanu may not be a god but he obviously has some spare lives.

They came for him in 2017 and failed, they came again and this time they were trapped. Nnamdi Kanu baited them with his life and they fell into the trap.

You want to hear this.
Nnamdi Kanu is vulnerable in the Nigerian prison but the Fulani Oligarchs cannot touch him. The reason is not complicated. I will tell you shortly. Where he stays in the DSS custody, he is not alone. His cleverness comes from his ability to get his enemies to protect him. Yes, his enemies are the ones protecting him.

I will bust your brains…
Nnamdi Kanu’s life is not safeguarded because of his alliance with Israel or because of our love for him. I want to reveal to you those who are actually protecting him.

You saw how fresh he looked? Those who made sure that he is healthy are primarily the sworn enemies of Biafra, the Fulani Oligarchs.

Don’t be surprised yet…
They are not doing that of their own volition though. They were forced to, Nnamdi Kanu forced them. It is as ironical as the story of Daniel who was thrown into a lion’s den but the lions instead of devouring him helped him to ward off mosquitoes.

How Nnamdi Kanu was able to do this will keep you in awe.
Back in Kenya, he was able to keep a good documentation of his log that when the Kenyan government wanted to deny his presence and the events leading to his kidnap, they were caught red-handed with both video and documentary evidences.

In that manner he was able to drag Kenya into the case. However, Kenya was not a trust worthy option, he had to involve a big power and that was his own country UK.

Through one of the most powerful legal firms in UK, Bindmanns he was able to get the UK involved despite their earlier reluctance. As if that was not enough, Congress was petitioned and his biggest enemies came to the public radar of the World Desk. Nnamdi Kanu is not an enemy of democracy which is why America likes him.

If someone asks you how to buy a double life in politics you now have the secret pearl. Finally, the hands leading Nnamdi Kanu is that of God, without God he wouldn’t have gone this far. With Him, we shall conquer. As you go about your normal life know that there are bad people everywhere but with God they are nothing's.

Politics / DSS Stopped American Lawyer, Others From Visiting Nnamdi Kanu — Ifeanyi Ejiofor by Hillard: 8:23am On Sep 03, 2021
BREAKING: DSS stopped American lawyer, others from visiting Kanu-Counsel

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Lead Counsel for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has said that the Department of State Services stopped the detainee from seeing his lawyers on Thursday.

Ejiofor, in a statement on Friday, said the secret police denied himself and other lawyers including “IPOB’s Attorney in the United States, Bruce Fein”, from meeting with Kanu.

He described the denial as a violation of the order of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja which ordered that the DSS should allow the lawyers to visit Kanu twice a week. The lawyer had previously alleged maltreatment by the DSS during the routine visits.

Ejiofor’s statement on Friday was titled,
‘Update On Yesterday’s Visit Being 2nd Day Of September, 2021.’

It read, “Yesterday (Thursday’s) Court ordered visit to Our Client- Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was aborted by the officials of the State Security Services on a reason we find extremely ridiculous.

“Following the arrival of Mr. Bruce Fein, a foremost American trained Constitutional Law Lawyer and IPOB’s Attorney in the United States of America, the game obviously took an interesting twist.

“Despite our formal notification to the
Service, in line with the existing protocol, and in compliance with the Court-Ordered guideline, the officials of the Department of State Security Services came up with an excuse, “that the person assigned to receive us during yesterday’s visit was on A SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT”, and as such, the visit cannot be conducted.

“This is not only ridiculous but a clear
violation of the Court Order on guidelines for visiting our Client - Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“For the records, we have been consistently visiting Our Client on the specified days and time of the week, and there hasn’t been any time we were denied access to him on the ground that an individual assigned to receive us was not available.

“Needless to mention, that no one individual has been specifically assigned to receive us on any of the visits. They are fully aware that the visit takes place every Monday and Thursday.

“Thankfully, we have another date for Monday, and we do hope that this individual will be available on Monday to receive us, whilst we have taken steps to formally bring this latest infraction to the attention of the Court.

“We will continue to update you all, while we continue to urge for your relentless prayers and understanding. We are winning, you can be assured.”

The PUNCH had earlier reported that the
Attorney General of the Federation and
Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami(SAN), at a press briefing in Abuja on June 29, 2021, announced that the IPOB leader was arrested in a foreign country and extradited to Nigeria.

Politics / Nnamdi kanu De Facto Governor-General of South Eastern States [Photos] by Hillard: 1:43pm On Aug 10, 2021
The people of Southeastern states of Nigeria ignored their governors Monday and complied with the order of Nnamdi Kanu’s Indigenous People of Biafra to sit at home.

The protest called by the so-called outlawed organisation was successful, as people stayed home.

It was to demand for the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, from DSS detention.

Banks, offices, markets were shut, streets were deserted. Students who were expected to write the NECO test on Mathematics, also obeyed the order.

Abakaliki Ebonyi market shut on Monday in obedience to Nnamdi Kalu’s IPOB
What this clearly shows is that the average south easterner has bought into the separatist campaign of IPOB, led by Nnamdi Kanu.

The average person listens more to Kanu, than Governors Obiano, Ugwuanyi, Uzodimma, Umahi and Ikpeazu.

IPOB lockdown: Onitsha head bridge deserted on a Monday morning
Several of the governors ahead of the protest issued warnings to their people to come out for work.

The police also assured the people they will be protected.

But they didn’t heed the warnings and assurances.

The police, rather failed to protect themselves when gunmen attacked their Nnewi area command in Anambra.

Next week Monday is another protest day. We shall see who really commands South East Nigeria. The governors or Governor-General Nnamdi Kanu?

Politics / Amnesty International: Security Forces Killed 115 People in South-East by Hillard: 5:42pm On Aug 05, 2021
IPOB: Amnesty International reveals number of people killed by security forces in South East

Amnesty International has alleged that no
fewer than 115 persons have been killed in the South-East by security operatives
between March and June.

Amnesty International, in its recent report,
said relatives of the victims denied the
deceased were part of the ‘unknown
gunmen’ that were attacking security
agents.

In the report entitled, ‘Nigeria: At least 115
people killed by security forces in four
months in country’s Southeast,’ the
organisation further claimed that many of
the victims were deposited at government hospitals in Imo and Abia states.

Furthermore, the human rights watch
organisation quoted some hospital
sources as saying that all the victims
deposited by the police had bullet injuries, adding that at least 21 security personnel were also murdered within three months in Imo.

According to AI’s report, more than 500
were arrested after police and military
raids.

Amnesty International, through its Country Director, Osai Ojigho said there are evidence which painted a damning picture of ruthless excessive force by security operatives in Imo, Anambra and Abia states.

“The evidence gathered by Amnesty
International paints a damning picture of
ruthless excessive force by Nigerian
security forces in Imo, Anambra and Abia
states,” it noted.

The report added that security agencies in Nigeria have committed a catalogue of
human rights violations and crimes under
international law ranging from mass
arrests, torture, excessive unlawful force
among others, in the South East.

The report noted, “Nigeria’s government
has responded with a heavy hand to
killings and violence widely attributed to
the armed group calling itself Eastern
Security Network, the armed wing of the
Indigenous People of Biafra, a pro-Biafra
movement.

“According to government officials, the
ESN killed dozens of security operatives
and attacked at least ten public buildings,
including prisons and police stations, from January to June. In response, security forces comprising military, police, and Department of State Services have killed dozens of gunmen, as well as civilians, where attacks have been committed.”

Eyewitnesses told AI that the security
forces engaged in excessive use of force,
physical abuse, secret detentions,
extortion, burning of houses, theft, and
extrajudicial executions of suspects.

The human rights groups estimated that
the death toll from violence between
January and June 2021 in Anambra, Imo,
Abia, and Ebonyi states might run into the
hundreds, adding that the police said ESN
fighters killed 21 of its personnel in Imo
State alone.

The Eastern Security Network, ESN, the
security wing of the Indigenous People of
Biafra, IPOB, was accused by the Nigerian
government and its security agencies of
carrying out series of attacks most notably on Imo Police headquarters and Imo Correctional Centre, where many prisoners were set free.

Politics / IPOB Sues US Secretaries Of State, Defense Over Sale Of Warplanes To Nigeria by Hillard: 5:24pm On Aug 05, 2021
Nigeria separatist group Indigenous
People of Biafra (IPOB) has sued U.S.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken and
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin over the
sale of attack planes.

IPOB said the Nigerian government will
use the warplanes to attack its
supporters.

United States - based constitutional
lawyer Bruce Fein filed the case in a
federal court in Washington on
Saturday on behalf of IPOB and 10
unidentified individuals based in the
secessionists’ heartland in southeastern
Nigeria.

IPOB submitted a complaint against the
top US officials in a federal court in
Washington on Saturday.

Fein is seeking the court to direct
Blinken and Austin to block the transfer
of six A- 29 Super Tucano aircraft to
Nigeria’ s air force and to seek the
return of six that were recently
delivered.

He said IPOB “reasonably fear that the
A- 29 Super Tucano aircraft will be used
imminently to kill or maim them
physically or to destroy their property.”

Nigeria and the United States agreed on
the sale of the planes in 2017 under
former President Donald Trump, after
his predecessor, Barack Obama,
suspended the deal over concerns about
Nigerian security forces' human rights
records.

However, Nigeria reestablished a deal
with the United States in 2020 and
ordered for planes to tackle insurgency
in the northeast of the country.

Nigeria’ s air force is awaiting the
arrival of the second batch of aircraft,
which are made in the U.S. by Brazil's
Embraer SA and Nevada - based Sierra
Nevada Corp, in a deal worth $593
million.

IPOB said, by allowing Nigeria to
receive six Super Tucano planes on July
21, Blinken and Austin violated laws
that are supposed to “shield citizens of
foreign sovereigns from harm caused by
United States weapons in the hands of
security forces guilty of gross human
rights violations.”

Bloomberg reports that a spokesman for
Nigeria’s Justice Ministry said the
government is “globally recognized for
respecting human rights” and the
allegations in the complaint are
“speculative guesswork.”

Fein said IPOB’s the “ultimate objective
is peaceful means to obtain a Biafran
sovereignty referendum under United
Nations auspices.”

But the Nigerian government accuses
IPOB of waging a violent campaign,
especially attacks on security structures
and personnel in the southeast region.

IPOB ’s lawsuit against the United States
senior officials came weeks after the
Nigerian government announced the
arrest of IPOB’s leader Nnamdi Kanu in
June, who was abducted in Kenya and
returned to Nigeria.

Kanu is in detention in Abuja where he
is undergoing a treason trial.

Politics / FG Should Stop Harassing Nnamdi Kanu ― Ex-ambassador by Hillard: 4:24pm On Jul 08, 2021
By Steve Oko, Aba

Former Nigeria Ambassador to Argentina, Ambassador Empire Kanu, has lambasted the federal government for the alleged abduction and extradition of the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The ex-diplomat argued that instead of persecuting Kanu, the Nigeria Authorities should be concerned about addressing the germane issues he is raising.

He warned Government against hunting Kanu as if he were the problem of Nigeria, saying he has the right to demand better treatment for his people.

The first republic House of Representatives member, challenged the federal government to demonstrate genuine efforts towards addressing the grievances of agitators of self-determination in the country and see if the agitations would not cease.

He wondered why the federal government is so worried about Kanu who is only agitating for equity and justice while doing little to rein in Fulani herdsmen and bandits ravaging the country.

”Why is the federal government so worried about Nnamdi Kanu. What has he done to warrant all this apprehension?

”When you have herdsmen and Miyetti Allah ravaging the country, why is the Government not going after them? If you want a fair deal, round up others too.

”This union was forced on us by the British. The military twisted the constitution in favour of the North. Since then things have not been right.

”So Nnamdi and millions of other youths like him are not happy that they are being treated as second-class citizens in their own country.

”Easterners have been marginalised and if your rights are being taken away and you continue to endure it but your children come up and say no, that they can’t tolerate it anymore, what do you do?

”The question is: what is Nnamdi asking for? Is it not a simple referendum? Why is Government afraid of giving a referendum to him and others who believe in the cause he is championing to determine whether or not they want to continue in this union?

”Yugoslavia had a referendum and today they have their separate countries living in peace. Germany had a referendum. Even Britain that put us into this union also had a referendum and opted out of European Union.

”Why is it that Britain allowed Ireland and Scotland to have a referendum but is unwilling to allow the Eastern region to have a referendum?

”Britain should talk now and leave us alone. If you give us a referendum nobody will agitate again because the outcome of the referendum will solve this quarrel.

”So, what is the problem in asking for a referendum? Is Government not the one harassing Nnamdi Kanu? They are the ones harassing the poor boy.

”He was arrested and granted bail. He was enjoying his bail when soldiers raided his home and he fled. It’s only a tree that they came to cut down and it remained where it was.

”Now that they have abducted him back to the country they should respect his rights and follow the rule of law. They should allow him access to his family, doctors, and lawyers.”

Ambassador Kanu argued that the agitation for self-determination is fueled by injustice perpetrated against South Easterners, adding that Kanu only represents millions of others who are yelling for Justice.

”Do they think we are blind? Why is their attention on oil? They are mining gold in the North and who is auditing them? Look at how the Petroleum Industry Bill was messed up? Host communities now to scramble for 3 percent while 30% is for exploration of oil.”

*Allow us access to our son, family cries out

*…says Britain should demand explanations from ‘abductors’

*Jailing him will worsen Nigeria’s woes —Abia monarchs

By Steve Oko

Nnamdi Kanu
The family of the re-arrested leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has demanded access to the detained self-determination agitator who was arrested last Sunday.

Kalu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, who spoke with Sunday Vanguard in Umuahia, lamented that since the IPoB leader was “bundled” back to the country, his family hasn’t had access to him.

Emmanuel, who said the family had been traumatised over the events of last week, expressed deep worry over his health condition.

“I hope he is not tortured? I hope his right to human dignity is not being violated? How can you abduct somebody and keep him in custody without access to his family and lawyers? This is inhumanity!” he lamented.

He said the federal government should allow the family unfettered access to their son who he said: “is by law presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

“Why can’t we see him? The federal government should allow us to see him because he is our son. He should have access to his lawyers and family,” Emmanuel added.

Ordeal

The family called on the British government to show more interest in Kanu’s ordeal since he is a British citizen.

Prince Emmanuel wondered why Kanu, a British citizen was “ kidnapped and bundled to Nigeria and Britain is still keeping quiet.”

According to him, “it is still not clear to us how Nnamdi, a British citizen would be abducted and bundled to Nigeria. If at all there is any reason to arrest him, why not take him to Britain where he is a citizen?

“Britain hasn’t done enough. Britain should be able to stand firm and demand explanations for those who abducted her citizen and bundled him to Nigeria. Kenya should also explain all it knows about this crime.”

Insisting that Kanu did nothing to deserve the arrest, Prince Emmanuel urged his supporters to remain calm and watch events unfold.

He expressed confidence that his brother would eventually triumph in the end.

Criminal

“It happened before. This is his second missionary journey. We shall prevail because my brother is not a criminal.

“He has not killed anybody nor has he asked anybody to kill. He is only fighting for the freedom of the people which is their fundamental human right.”

Asked if the family had any regret having anything to do with the agitation for Biafra autonomy considering what it had been through including the death of his parents allegedly in the aftermath of the raid of their house by security agents, Prince Emmanuel said they had nothing to regret identifying with the Biafra cause.

He urged Ndigbo and lovers of democracy and justice to unite behind his brother who he said “is only fighting a just cause”.

Residents

Meanwhile, many residents of Umuahia are still bewildered about the reality of Kanu’s re-arrest.

Although many people were reluctant to comment on the matter publicly, some advised the federal government to tread with caution.

Some of the residents who preferred anonymity wondered why government had not deployed the same amount of zest and vigour it deployed in tracking and arresting Kanu in crushing bandits and killer herdsmen.

They accused government of insincerity and bias in the war against terrorism, challenging it to deal with all Nigerians equally irrespective of ethnicity and religion.

Speaking with Sunday Vanguard, immediate past-Chairman of Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers, and the Traditional Ruler of Oriendu Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Philip Ajomuiwe, advised government to tread with caution on the matter.

The monarch said arresting, killing, or jailing Kanu would proffer no solution but worsen Nigeria’s woes.

He strongly advocated national dialogue and engagement of all agitators to permanently address their grievances.

Dialogue

“My frank advice is dialogue. Government has to dialogue with Nnamdi Kanu and other self-determination agitators. If you kill all the people who are you going to govern?

“Kanu is my subject because I was the Chairman of Council of Ndieze during the days of his father. We don’t want anything funny to happen to him.

“Where there is a problem, there must be a solution. Government should treat the foundation of the problem through dialogue.

“Killing or jailing Kanu won’t bring any solution but create more problems. Government should be careful how it handles this matter.

“ I don’t support violence either from IPoB or government. Government should call everyone for dialogue now. Let us discuss how to move our beloved country forward. Nigeria belongs to all of us.”

In the same vein, the paramount ruler of Abriba Ancient kingdom, Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu (Enachioken Abriba), said arresting Kanu would not proffer any solution to Nigeria’s problems.

The monarch advised federal government to engage Kanu for a dialogue on how to solve some contentious national issues.

His words: “Can one look at Kanu as Nigeria’s problem or a solution to Nigeria’s problems?

“I don’t think Kanu is Nigeria’s problem. Rather, he is coming with a solution to the problem bedeviling Nigeria since 1970.

Second class citizens

“What gave rise to the emergence of the likes of Uwazurike, and Kanu is the treatment of Ndigbo as second-class citizens by the Nigerian government.

“What they are saying is that the exclusion and suppression of the Igbo are enough. They are saying that Nigeria is pressing hard on our neck and we can no longer breathe.

“So, arresting Kanu won’t bring any solution. What the federal government should do is engage him for dialogue. This is time for a national dialogue on how to carry everybody along and move the country forward.”

The monarch further advised against using the method applied in the case of the late founder of Boko Haram, Yusuf, who allegedly died in police custody.

“Government should not repeat the mistake it made in the case of Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram. I hope it doesn’t repeat the same mistake.”

The monarch also advised government to follow due process in trying the IPoB leader if there are sufficient grounds to do so.

“Recall that Kanu was arrested in 2015 and kept in custody without trial despite public outcry. In 2017, he was arraigned and granted bail by a court of competent jurisdiction.

“He was still enjoying his bail when the federal authority came for his jugular: His father’s palace was raided and desecrated by security operatives. Many people were killed during the raid and he had to flee for his life.

“So, now that he has been re-arrested the rule of law must be applied. If government feels he has violated any law he should be taken to court. He should be given a fair hearing.

“But I’m afraid whether the laws will be obeyed. Didn’t the Constitution say nobody should be taken to court in fetters? Was Kanu arraigned in handcuffs? How do you reconcile all that?

“There must be justice and fairness in his trial, otherwise if it’s mismanaged I wouldn’t know how people will react to that.”

He urged government to devote equal amount of zeal and resources deployed in tracking Kanu to crushing bandits and terrorists.

“There are many flashpoints in the country. If government devotes the number of resources it devoted to trailing and arresting Kanu to tackling Boko Haram and Fulani bandits, the Buhari administration will score a big credit,” the monarch added.

Politics / So, You ‘captured’ Nnamdi Kanu, Now What? by Hillard: 7:46am On Jul 04, 2021
By Obi Nwakanma

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was abducted by federal agents and brought back to Nigeria to face trial in still unclear circumstances.

First, the rumours said he was taken from the Czech Republic. Then there was Ethiopia.

Then the rumour that he had been lured to Brazil by a woman! These all turned out to be lies that could not be sustained or verified. Then finally, that he was abducted from Kenya.

I am using the word “abducted” here very consciously and very insistently because there is a question about that difference between a legitimate, open, lawful arrest, and a covert, furtive, clandestine and underhanded arrest. The federal authorities who abducted Mazi Kanu claim that it was done in collaboration with INTERPOL.

This is not clear what the international police had to do with the arrest of a political activist who even claims citizenship of another country.

That too may be a lie thrown by this administration. There are many unanswered and perhaps even unanswerable questions: What is the role of the Kenyan government in the abduction and seizure of a British citizen on Kenyan soil? If Mazi Kanu traveled to Kenya, he went there with a British passport, and was under the protection by international law of the part of the government of Kenya.

The Kenyan authorities who admitted him into Kenya knew he was traveling as a British citizen. When they were approached to seize him, did they contact the UK High Commission in Nairobi to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu was given the highest protection by the government under whose passport he was flying? How could the Kenyan government flout the most basic and elementary courtesies that now leaves it open to litigation, and, if not properly managed, that could lead to a potential international incident? Therein lays my doubt that the Kenyan authorities may have been privy to the abduction of Mazi Kanu.

That leaves one potential possibility: he was “Umaru- Dikkoed.” Mr. Muhamadu Buhari is not a stranger to that kind of subterfuge and international “gangsterism.” For the generation who might not know the story because they were not born at this point, this is not Mr. Buhari’s first rodeo. Once, he was a military dictator.

He was at the head of a band of military gangsters who plotted to violently overthrow an elected and civil government of Nigeria. Once they gained access to power, they forcefully suspended the Constitution of the republic, imposed themselves on the government of the federation, and governed by decree from December 31, 1983 to when Buhari himself was overthrown in August 1985, and then generally to 1999 when the force of civil action and international pressure pushed that cadre to “step aside.”

In Buhari’s time as a military dictator, he got his Attorney-General to craft decrees of absolutism, and prepare cases against elected civilians he had overthrown, and brought them to court under very trumped up charges for “Kwaruption.” There were many tragedies.

I’ll mention just three examples of these elected civilians he deposed and jailed: Professor Ambrose Alli, distinguished professor of medicine and hardworking governor of Bendel State went blind in jail under the conditions to which he had been subjected. He did not survive it. Aper Aku, the hardworking governor of Benue State, died soon after he was released from jail.

Dr. Sam Mbakwe developed diabetes in jail from which he was to die years later. Of course, the likes of Victor Olabisi Onabanjo, first civilian government of Ogun State, did not survive the effects of their imprisonment by the Buhari administration which accused them of “corruption.”

He died within three years of his release from jail by Babangida. Now, fellow Nigerians, compare the years between 1979 and 1983, and the years from 2015 to 2021, and determine for yourself who should actually be in jail for corruption, malfeasance, mis-governance and the destruction of the foundations of the Nigerian government and its commonwealth.

Measure the leaps of those years which Buhari disrupted, and compare it to the churlish incompetence of the current years which he supervises, and you will see the light.

It was not just that Buhari effed-up Nigeria’s economy within six months of his dictatorship, he nearly enmeshed Nigeria in some terrible international incident, when he used the then Nigerian Security Organization (NSO) under Katsina-born Muhammadu Lawal Rafindadi, the grandfather of today’s Directorate of State Service (DSS), to plan and execute the abduction of Mr. Umaru Dikko, former President Shehu Shagari’s Minister of Transport, who knew where all the bodies in that regime were buried and who had fled to exile in London, where he was squealing to the utter embarrassment of Buhari.

With the aid of some MOSSAD agents, as we now know, the NSO went to London, abducted Umaru Dikko, crated him, and prepared to bring him back to Lagos to kiss Buhari’s ring. Only a lucky tip-off saved him.

There are indications, in this case of the abduction of Nnamdi Kanu, that Mr. Buhari is still hung on his old methods.

He is using the cover of his presumed immunity to direct illegality. That is what this action amounts to: particularly as it affects the citizen of another country, and an opposition figure against Buhari’s government.

But need one say that he leaves his Attorney-General vulnerable because he has no such immunity? What is more vital to this situation is that Buhari’s administration might have broken international law against the use of state terrorism, and may push foreign governments to classify the Nigerian state as a promoter of international terrorism! If the Kenyan government denies complicity, that is it! If they accept complicity, it leaves them equally open to litigation, and to the idea that international visitors to Kenya, which depends on tourism for a lot of its national revenue, are unsafe, and cannot be protected from external forces while they visit Kenya.

Meanwhile, the Buhari administration has brought Mazi Kanu home to face trials for threatening the sovereignty of Nigeria.

I wonder what Buhari thought he was doing when he overthrew an elected government and suspended the Constitution of the republic in the wee hours of the last day of 1983? It is Mr. Buhari and his cohorts who should be in the dock standing trial for treason, for indeed it is treasonable conduct to violently overthrow the elected government of a sovereign nation, and there is no statute of limitations to such a crime against the nation.

Which is why it is imperative to evacuate that provision in the 1999 Constitution which abrogates the capacity of the courts to try any actions against the state preceding the 1999 Constitution. It is a statement that indemnifies infamy.

Actors like President Buhari have made possible, from their serial violations of the sovereign codes of Nigeria, the rise of the likes of Nnamdi Kanu, born in the heat of war, but who have felt themselves alienated by the permissive discriminations and institutional failures produced by the involvements of the Buharis in government.

Now, he has Nnamdi Kanu in custody, but so what? Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information, last week, said they are also in pursuit of the sponsors of Nnamdi Kanu, and will bring them to justice.

He need not look far. Every standing Igbo is a supporter of Nnamdi Kanu, and makes the “toro-toro, afu-afu” contribution to his political campaigns.

So, how is he going to make them pay? Deny them federal appoints? Deny them federal contracts? What else? Come off it, Lai! Will the Nigerian government arrest all Igbo? Well, let Lai Mohammed and his government try.

There is no jail larger than Nigeria in which the Igbo are already imprisoned, according to the logic of things.

Where else is he going to keep the Igbo supporters of Kanu? Which jail can hold them all? Will he kill them all? Well, then that would be a real, frontal declaration of war, and those so threatened are obligated to defend themselves by all means necessary.

It is the right of every citizen in a republic to bear arms in their own defence in the face of a tyrannical order. I need to emphasize this because two things are already obvious: There was no wild, national jubilation at the “arrest” of Kanu. That should tell this regime something.

Nnamdi Kanu is not a criminal, he is a political prisoner of an increasingly intolerant regime which has deployed gangster methods to abduct the citizen of another country but ignores and panders to the real terrorists whom it gives coverage.

Mazi Kanu has disavowed his Nigerian citizenship. He claims British citizenship and as a result cannot be tried in a Nigerian court. Besides, there is no crime, in spite of the manufactured or very obviously trumped up charges about inciting the deaths of people.

Incitement is not treason, nor is it murder, nor is it true in fact. Kanu calls for the separation of Biafra from Nigeria through a referendum.

That is not a crime. It is a legitimate political position. Nnamdi Azikiwe campaigned for the independence of Nigeria from Britain, and even instigated the Labour strikes led by Michael Imoudu, which the British colonial authorities considered subversive. Azikiwe and the nationalists were considered treasonous by the British, but here is Buhari today, enjoying the benefits of that freedom movement and all that “treason.”

And while we are at it, the IPoB which Kanu leads has consistently vowed a non-violent, peaceful method in its pursuit of a referendum towards Biafran independence. Not every Igbo agrees with Biafra. But certainly every Igbo agrees that the Igbo have not been well treated in Nigeria, especially so by this administration.

Most Igbo do not consider Buhari to be the President of Nigeria, and there are hints of the plan to institute a citizens’ arrest of Buhari after his immunity lapses, to face charges of treason for the overthrow of an elected government in 1983.

There is also this small matter of the fact that Nnamdi Kanu is an Aro-Igbo. The Aro, who have their eyes and ears everywhere in the world, and ran one of the world’s most complex Mafia systems from the 15th century, will exact their fierce and quiet revenge, against anyone, irrespective of office or stature, should anything unjust, and untoward happen to an Aro child, whether or not, the entire Aro agrees with him. It is the Aro code of honour. Let justice therefore prevail in this matter of Nnamdi Kanu.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu's Legal War Gains Strong Momentum by Hillard: 2:34pm On Jul 03, 2021
NNAMDI KANU'S LEGAL WAR GAINS STRONG MOMENTUM!!!

Is it possible that Nnamdi Kanu will plead not-guilty in the Nigerian Kangaroo court? Is it still possible to hear his voice again? Is it possible that he will come out of the government's custody alive? We are about to unravel a mystery.

Before then I would like to give you the first shock right away. Do you know the reason why, Lai Mohammed came out to broadcast 1st July 2021? Listen attentively! Nnamdi Kanu's arrest did not come cheap. The Nigerian government while arresting him had to violate a lot of international laws and that came with lots of severe implications. That's exactly the reason they hid the location of his arrest.

The Nigerian government is bizarrely afraid to mention this fact because they know the strings attached to it. They are entangled. But guess what? IPOB lawyers did something interesting.

They intelligently accused the UK government of complicity for turning Kanu in unlawfully. This was a strong motivation as the UK government fell into defense. They had to explain why they broke the law. The pressure yielded good results because the UK did not want their name to be soiled in the Nigerian mess.

This was followed by their response that Nnamdi Kanu was not extradited in the UK as was earlier claimed by the zoo
government and the corrupt news media.

To concretize this, the UK ambassador had to pressure the zoo government to clarify Nnamdi Kanu's arrest so that UK will not be falsely blamed for Nnamdi Kanu's arrest.

It was this pressure that kicked Lai Mohammed to the screen yesterday where he started talking about Kanu's lifestyle. He did it to appear as if he came to mock Nnamdi Kanu but actually it was IPOB's pressure that trotted him out.

It was laughable that he did not included
INTERPOL as the international intelligence agency that helped them arrest Kanu. Initially they alleged that it was a collaborative intelligence between Nigeria and INTERPOL that led to the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu but in this broadcast, he reverted and said it was between Nigerian intelligence and other international intelligence agencies. Lol

When credible reports came from Nnamdi Kanu's family that he was arrested in Kenya, the same pressure moved into Kenya and surprisingly the news trended in many Kenyan tabloids and news papers. The news spread like a wild fire.

The Kenyan authorities did not anticipate the consequences of this action earlier, that's why they found it very difficult to own it up. Their ambassador to Nigeria reported this afternoon that they did not know that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in Kenya.

This was a defensive strategy to protect their government hoping that Nigeria will keep the secret. But this secret may not survive for a long time because Nigeria must say where they arrested Nnamdi Kanu in order to clear the allegations of abduction levelled against them by IPOB's international legal team.

In all these, the most important thing is that the Nigerian government is entangled, before they carry out any legal pronouncement on Nnamdi Kanu they must have to explain how they arrested him. Otherwise you cannot sentence an abductee.

More is coming! Nnamdi Kanu's arrest as a British citizen came with its own sophistication. He has already requested the intervention of the UKs legal provisions for citizens arrested outside of UK.

This makes him a property of not only the
Nigerian government but of the Common Wealth. As such he might not be treated as Sowore or Abiola.

Guess what? These pressures are not all. There are more pressures that has not been tapped yet. I will leak this to you, there are colossal stocks of peaceful and violent pressures waiting for deployment. I will not list them here but be sure Nnamdi Kanu has come to claim his Victory.

Nnamdi Kanu is untouchable!

Share this and enlighten others on the situation.

Politics / DSS Wants To Kill Nnamdi Kanu With A Poisonous Vaccine – IPOB by Hillard: 8:58pm On Jul 02, 2021
Nnamdi Kanu: DSS plotting to inject our leader poisonous vaccine, kill him slowly – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Department of State Services, DSS, of plotting to inject its leader, Nnamdi Kanu with a poisonous vaccine.

IPOB’s Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, alleged that the poisonous vaccine was meant to kill Kanu slowly.

In a statement he signed, Powerful warned that such an attempt should be jettisoned because the consequences would be severe.

IPOB also said the Ohanaeze Ndigbo must ensure that nothing happens to its leader while in DSS custody.

According to Powerful: “We pity them and Nigeria if anything happens to our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The Nigeria Government and security agencies must understand the product we are made of and how prepared we are.

“South East Governors and Ohaneze including politicians in the region must ensure that nothing bad happens to Nnamdi Kanu because Miyetti Allah and sympathisers of terrorists are going free in the country but the ordinary person and innocent citizens are molestinged every day because they are Biafrans. We won’t accept that.

“We also want to tell the DSS to jettison any plans to inject our leader with a poisonous vaccine that will make him die slowly. Any such attempt will come with unimaginable consequences! Nnamdi Kanu must not die in custody!”

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu's Abduction And The Lame Walk Of Nigeria by Hillard: 1:44pm On Jul 02, 2021
NNAMDI KANU'S ABDUCTION AND THE LAME WALK OF NIGERIA

It is really worrisome to Aso Rock on how what ought to have been "a heroic venture" has turned out to mean waste of time and failed diversionary vouyage.

Nnamdi Kanu's abduction has created for the Nigerian state, a multifaceted and multi-dimentional international and local quagmire that she needs the services of both local and international PR experts to come out of the already growing self inflicted damage in her efforts to use Nnamdi Kanu to divert the attentions of her citizens from the inevitable collapse of Nigerian state caused by directionlessness of Buhari's led regime.

While international legal experts have dived into the ocean of international conventions and laws of immigration, what is to come out of the argument is going to shake the world at large. I am not an expert on international laws and jurisprudence, but I do understand as a student of history and diplomatic studies that issue of international immigration laws are of utmost respect among comity of nations.

Countries in the past have tried as much as they could to extradict their viewed "critics" but the bottlenecks in international immigration laws pose a great obstacles to that. From Jillian Assange in UK to Edward Snowden in Russia down to Jamal Khashoggi who was murdered in Turkey by the Saudi agents.

In the case of Nnamdi kanu, Nigeria and Britain are faced with complex issue to handle as Nnamdi Kanu being a British citizen, makes the matter of complex issue. Ordinarily, Nigerian Government would have gone the way of Saudi Arabia as in the case of Jamal Khashoggi, but the multiple interests state and non state actors, frustrated Nigerians hand down over Nnamdi.

That ordinarily did not stopped there, the pressure continues until this very moment that makes Nigerian Government to be critical and mindful of her dictions against their 2015 tone and mode which were bellicose and belligerent filled. The state indirect recognition of Nnamdi Kanu's sophistication is worth giving an academic discourses.

It is too hard for the Nigerian state to win this battle owning to the fact that she has internally convinced all that she is on jihad and entrenchment of Fulani agenda. That is what it is! The unity among Nigerians against Nnamdi Kanu in 2015 is eluded and Nnamdi Kanu enjoys support more than the Government. The only places the Government can gain supporters against Nnamdi Kanu currently are among the corrupt forks among the Government who feels that Nnamdi Kanu's drive for self determination is a threat to their ingrained kleptomania.

Ordinarily, the man in the north battling with bandits and hunger is asking for safety from the government not the drama called "Nnamdi Kanu's rearrest". Among the Nigerian youths, the Government that told them not to expect job from her and is busy destroying education and every sector hosting the youths, needs to be arrested not Nnamdi Kanu.

It is these threatening issues that people want to hear solved but the irresponsible Government with ethnocentric and religious drive would love to do her parochialistic thing. The simple truth is that like the Shakespearen Macbeth, the witches have cast a spell of error on the Buhari's led regime and only the path of destruction she deemed wise to treck on.

The world is watching and sadly, the rickity Government lacks what it takes to absolve international pressures. It is too early for anyone to tell where it will all end, but the poor Government thinks she needs time to build an image making over her poor move on Nnamdi Kanu locally and internationally.

That very image they are buying time on to rally for supporters now, has also giving IPOB a reasonable time to look back and plan. So far, the Government is struggling on the right card to play in discrediting Nnamdi Kanu.

From the card of him "jumping bail" which appears laughable among people as it is on Nigerian news how the military went on rampage at Nnamdi Kanu's hometown in search of him for assasination. This very narrative seems weak and the Government knows about.

Another narrative is the narrative of him being "a terrorist" which makes the Government more stupid as Miyyetti Allah a known terrorist group globally and Gumi the mouthpiece of the terrorists ravaging the country are known to be walking with Nigerian securities unquestionably.

The new narrative as was promoted by Lai Muhammed is the narrative of Nnamdi Kanu "living luxuriously". What a shame! When has wearing expensive cloths and flying on private jet mean a crime? This is exactly poor approach in their efforts to instigate animosity against Nnamdi Kanu from those he is fighting to liberate. If the Government can go down this low, it then means they are dried up mentally on how and what to do with Nnamdi Kanu.

On the argument of Britain playing role in getting Nnamdi Kanu out of detention, such is achievable and foreseeably possible if we should fall back to historical antecedents. Not too long were British citizens held in the USA over terrorism and how Britain used the backdoor diplomacy to get them out of Quantanamo Bay. Examples are the likes of Shaker Aamer and others.

Contrary, we have also seen where Britain failed in helping out her foreign national trapped in foreign countries like in the case of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe who is currently in Iran. On the side of Nnamdi Kanu, Britain has giving an early signal beyond as expected to offer "consular assistance" which is a right step in right direction. Such an early signal will put actors within the Nigerian state to carefulness.

If such is coming from UK when IPOB hasn't started mobilising on international and local spaces protests, then you know that there is a responsible steps from those expected to. United States and other players are also studying the development which makes alot of Fulani conservatives to advise for an extreme carefulness on the issue as too many of them believe it is all a ploy to destroy Nigeria.

The level of divided opinions among the northern political cum social players, shows that they see Nnamdi Kanu of more of a dangerous player worth being careful of than a prey. That is why there tend to be a graveyard silence instead of celebrations. In which way it goes, what is certain is that Nnamdi Kanu is a weight that must be carried with carefulness and
consciousness.

Politics / Arresting Nnamdi Kanu Is Never A Good News To Us!! by Hillard: 1:05pm On Jul 02, 2021
ARRESTING NNAMDI KANU IS NEVER A GOOD NEWS TO US!!

BY: PROF. ABDUSSAMAD
UMAR JIBIA.

On Thursday June 24, 2021 I stumbled on a viral video from Zamfara state. In the four minutes clip, a notorious bandits’ kingpin could be seen boastfully confessing in front of senior security officials of the atrocities he committed against the Nigerian state and its people.

The man, popularly known as Dan-Karami is said to be one of the senior gang members of the deceased Buharin daji, a bandits’ general who controlled the rural areas of Zamfara until his death in 2018 in the hand of one of his other gang members, Dogo Gide. Dogo Gide had ‘repented’ and submitted himself to the Government of Zamfara state under Abdulazeez Yari and Yari decided to use
him to kill his boss.

Gide had since resumed crime and is operating from his base in the vast forest reserve spanning several North Western and central states. He and Dan-Karami were among the many gangsters that sealed and breached several peace agreements with Governments of Zamfara and Katsina states.

I watched the video clips several times and upon enquiry I came to know that the senior Government officials were there to beg him to allow people to go to farm in the areas he controlled now that it is rainy season.

The areas he controlled, as he stated in the clip are south of the Jibia-Gusau highway where he claims to be responsible for “any crime you hear of”. It is noteworthy that a week earlier 53 people were killed in the area. That is many times the number of Nigerians killed due to IPOB activities since it
started.

Going by what he stated, the Nigerian
Government has no other option except to go and beg him since, according to him, he has victoriously repelled all attempts by the Nigerian Army to defeat him.

In one of those attempts, he stated, he was attacked by a combined team of
Nigerian and Nigerien security forces and he defeated and killed more than half of them. He also confessed of kidnapping forty children from Zurmi township at another point in time.

Another thing he stated worth examining was the initial rejection by the now deposed Emir of Zurmi to dialogue with him or any other terrorist for that matter.

If what he said was true, the Emir only agreed to speak to him after it was clear to the Emir that Government could not defeat him.

The question to ask here is, if the Emir decided to be communicating to the outcast in order to protect his people, was he doing or not doing the right thing.

Why was he deposed by the same Government that now decided to go and smile with a confirmed criminal who has admitted killing several people including our soldiers? When has the Nigerian Government become a coward that aims only at soft targets?

After watching that video, I began to wait for a statement from Federal Government. None came, at least not to my knowledge. The expectations of any citizen who watched that video would be the Government would now launch a major manhunt for the criminal to face charges of murder, treason, kidnapping, etc. Alas!

The attention of the leaders of APC and PDP is not there. Their concern is not how Nigerians can sleep with their eyes closed or how many criminals are brought to justice but how many politicians from one party defect to another.

Unfortunately for the people of Zamfara state the next thing they heard is that their Governor was now defecting to ruling (sorry “governing”) party as if that is what would solve their problem.

But there is one thing I did. After watching that video I decided to send it to the media aide of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice and requested him to give it to his boss in case he had not seen it along with our message of disappointment.

My choice of Abubakar Malami is deliberate for two reasons. One. He is not one of those opportunists who only began to support Buhari with the windstorm of 2015. He has been the supporter of Buhari from day one and is thus a witness to all the promises his Oga made to Nigerians. Two. He is the Attorney General and Minister of Justice. Nothing has changed.

The Sheikh Gumis are busy going from one bandits’ camp to another and calling on Buhari to give salaries to Fulani criminals. The Kabiru Gombes are all over the place telling masses that Saint Buhari is not responsible for the protection of their lives and property since he has appointed Northerners to take charge of security.

The Masaris are there blaming the masses for waiting for Governmen to give them protection. That is the very sad predicament Northerners have found themselves. You are on your own if fate makes you an ordinary Northern Nigerian.

Yesterday, while the rest of us were still waiting for action (although sincerely speaking most Northerners have lost hope), Malami appeared on our television screens to tell Nigerians that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB was arrested "through the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services”.

That is a good news, I thought, but it is no news. Kanu has never been the major problem of the rural farmers of the North. His arrest will never make Kaduna-Abuja, Kaduna-Birnin Gwari, Jibia-Gusau, Kankara-Sheme or any of those highways safe. It will never stop the harassment of our people killed, kidnapped and raped by bandits on daily basis. So what if he is arrested?

But Kanu is being “accused of instigating violence especially in the Southeastern Nigeria that resulted in the loss of lives and property of civilians, military, paramilitary, police forces and destruction of civil institutions and symbols of authorities.”

Here is someone right here on the Nigerian soil boasting of having committed all these atrocities and daring Government. Yet, the Government is going there to smile at him. Is that not an irony?

3 weeks from now,

those that have rejoiced over the detaining of MNK will become mute again,

they will delete their posts against him,

and even the coldest of Biafrans will become boiling hot!

The Biafran Michael Scofield has returned, and his return is a master plan.

This return is not a mistake - I swear.

This return took years to plan,

it is a masterpiece from the brain box himself.

If I were the other party, I would be very cautious right now, cos the center can no longer hold.

This return is HEAVY.

Note: this is not afa, this is just my common sense typing away on my phone.

Politics / You’re Hypocrites – Nnamdi Kanu Attacks Southeast Govs For Disowning IPOB by Hillard: 5:54pm On Jun 22, 2021
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Tuesday described Southeast governors as hypocrites.

Kanu made the remark while stressing that the governors cannot decide the faith of Igbos with regards to Biafra.

He stated this while reacting to the decision of the governors to disown IPOB.

Recall that five governors had stated that IPOB was not speaking for Igbos or the region.

However, speaking through the spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, Kanu said the governors have lost the support of the Southeast.

The statement signed by Powerful reads: “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the purported disowning and condemnation of IPOB and the Eastern Security Network, ESN, by the frustrated South East Governors and few self-centered political leaders in the region. We are not, however, surprised because they were the same people who proscribed us before the federal government tagged us terrorists.

“The purported statement by these shameless political generals without foot soldiers has only further exposed them as Caliphate boot-leakers. They know too well that they have since lost grip and control of the masses, hence, their desperation to regain the trust of their paymasters. The only publicly disowned IPOB thinking that doing so will make them regain the trust and favour of the Caliphate.

“The governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo and the handful of traitors masquerading as the Igbo political elite should wake up to the realities that they have since lost the confidence of the people. We understand the worry of these Efulefus: They are rattled by the unflinching support and loyalty of the masses to IPOB.

“It’s only unfortunate, shameful and disgraceful that the so-called Igbo leaders will be quick to disown and betray their own in their quest to appease their slave masters.

The South East Governors again, in 2017 they sat together in Enugu State to proscribe IPOB and the federal government declared them terrorists with the support of South East Governors while they are not. To their shame, how many times have their Northern counterparts disowned the bloody terrorists, bandits and Fulani herdsmen rampaging the country?

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu: How A Man From Peckham Caused Nigeria To Shut Down Twitter by Hillard: 5:04pm On Jun 22, 2021
Former London resident was the catalyst for the unprecedented decision two weeks ago to ban 200 million people from using the platform.

Supporters see him a returning liberation hero, who revived a long-lost dream of African nationhood from his flat in faraway south London. Critics see him as a dangerous insurgent who belongs behind bars.

Like him or loathe him, though few would disagree that Nnamdi Kanu has come a long way since his days running Radio Free Biafra from a council flat in Peckham.

The 52-year-old, who leads the campaign to revive the former breakaway state of Biafra, was the catalyst for President Muhammadu Buhari's extraordinary decision two weeks ago to ban Nigeria's 200 million people from using Twitter.

That in turn has sparked a global row over freedom of speech, dragging in everyone from Silicon Valley's tech giants through to ex-US president Donald Trump - not to mention Nigeria's millions of Twitter users.

Mr Kanu, who also holds British citizenship, started Radio Free Biafra while living in London a decade ago. The web-based pirate radio station campaigns to recreate the short-lived republic of Biafra, which broke away from the rest of Nigeria in 1967, sparking a civil war that claimed a million lives.

He returned to Nigeria in 2015, where he then skipped bail on what he claims were trumped-up treason charges. Now a fugitive, he leads the banned separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), whose armed wing, the Eastern Security Network, has been accused of attacking Nigerian security forces.

He regards multi-ethnic Nigeria as a "zoo", declaring: “We want a free and independent Biafra or death."

Such shock-jock rhetoric has infuriated Mr Buhari, a stern former general who fought on the government side in the Biafran war. On June 2, the president Tweeted a blunt warning to the separatists, saying: "Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand."

To Mr Buhari's fury, Twitter then deleted his post, saying violated its "abusive behaviour" policy. Two days later, the president banned Twitter from Nigeria altogether, sparking protests from his own citizens and freedom campaigners worldwide.

Defending the decision, Mr Buhari insisted that Mr Kanu has used his own Twitter, which has 300,000 followers, "to direct his loyalists to kill Nigerian soldiers and policemen."

The government blames IPOB's armed wing for a rising tide of lawlessness in recent months around its stronghold in the former Biafra region of south-east Nigeria. Police officers have been killed, government buildings attacked, and in April, more than 1,800 prisoners escaped during a mass jailbreak in the city of Owerri.

A day after Mr Buhari announced the Twitter ban, the platform also deleted a Tweet from Mr Kanu's account. It said: "Any army they send to #Biafraland will die there. None will return alive.” Mr Kanu was also banned from Facebook in February after posting a video alleged to show a pro-Biafran militia group killing cattle belonging to Fulani herders

Mr Buhari's ban on Twitter won praise from Donald Trump, who himself was kicked off Twitter over claims that his posts helped incite the US Capitol riot in January.

"Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter because they banned their president," he said.

Critics, however, claim that Mr Buhari has over-reacted with the Twitter ban, censoring a social media tool used by 40 million Nigerians, as well as many businesses for advertising.

They claim the real reason for the ban was Twitter's role in the #EndSARS police brutality protests, which saw huge street demonstrations last year over abuses committed by Nigeria's Special Anti-Robbery Squad. Twitter's CEO, Jack Dorsey, encouraged donations to one of the leading groups of organisers.

Mr Buhari argues that the California tech moguls do not have to deal with the consequences of such protests, which saw a heavy police response.

"We have not forgotten that #EndSARS resulted in the loss of lives, including those of 37 policemen, six soldiers and 57 civilians, while properties worth billions of Naira were destroyed," his spokesman said.

With Boko Haram still running amok in Nigeria's north-east, and a spate of banditry and mass kidnappings in the north-east, government officials say they can ill-afford to tolerate Mr Kanu stirring another armed insurgency in Biafra.

Nonetheless, many Nigerians point out that compared to the security threats in Nigeria's north, which have claimed thousands of lives, Mr Kanu and IPOB are small scale.

Andrew Obuoforibo, a Nigerian political analyst and podcaster, told The Telegraph: "Buhari gives other more violent groups far less attention than Kanu and IPOB. I think he's just using Kanu as an excuse to ban Twitter because of Jack Dorsey donating money to the #endSARS protest.

"If Mark Zuckerberg had donated money too, then Facebook might be banned in Nigeria as well."

Another Efuluefu on the loose...
Politics / Why ESN, Ebubeagu Can’t Work Together – IPOB by Hillard: 7:34pm On Apr 19, 2021
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has given reasons the Eastern Security Network, ESN, established by its Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, cannot work together with the Ebubeagu regional security outfit recently announced by South East governors.

IPOB alleged that Ebubeagu would sabotage ESN if they collaborate as being suggested by some emminent Igbo personalities.

It further alleged that Ebubeagu was floated to spy on ESN operatives as well as IPOB members, hence, both outfits cannot collaborate as they do not share similar agenda.

The pro-Biafra movement also claimed that “Ebubeagu is a ghost creation” unlike ESN that has identifiable personnel, hence both outfits cannot work together.

IPOB in a press statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, likened collaboration between ESN and Ebubeagu to “asking Lucifer to midwife the birth of Jesus Christ”.

The statement read in part: "We have noted with keen interest, the genuine calls by some emminent Igbo for a collaboration between our gallant Eastern Security Network, ESN; and the ghost Ebubeagu security network recently floated by South East governors. We have equally noted similar calls by some self-acclaimed but unreliable Igbo elders and Ohanaeze chieftains.

“But we have a simple question for them all: can light and darkness work together? It was when the Governors failed to stand with the people who were being raped and slaughtered daily by Fulani herdsmen and jihadists that our Leader, based on the yearnings by the people had to establish ESN to save the situation. And ever since then, the narrative has changed.

“Out of envy and jealousy the South East governors belatedly, and without cordination announced a ghost security outfit – Ebubeagu. For the discerning minds, the action of the governors is a suspect. They are out for something sinister but we are too smart to fall for it.

“Where are the personnel of the so-called Ebubeagu? When Amotekun was formed by South West Governors, did you not see their personnel and equipment? When our Leader established ESN, did you not see our gallant men? How then are you asking ESN to collaborate with ghost Ebubeagu that has no identifiable personnel?

“How can ESN collaborate with Ebubeagu that is being supervised by the compromised Fulani-controlled Nigeria security?

“Asking ESN to collaborate with Ebubeagu is like asking Lucifer to midwife the birth of Jesus Christ. But for the gullible, Ebubeagu was simply floated to spy on ESN and IPOB.

“The aim is to scuttle the bonding unity among Ndigbo and set our youths against themselves but we are ahead of them in this game.

“If the South East governors were sincere, they would have rather supported ESN which has been doing a pretty job since inception instead of floating this joke and mockery.

“Go and conduct opinion poll among Ndigbo and know what they want: whether ESN or Ebubeagu is their choice, then the result will determine the next line of action.

“The security of our land is sacrosanct and too sensitive to be left in the hands of political desperados without conscience. They can easily compromise it for a pot of porridge and selfish political interest. We will never take such a stupid risk!”

IPOB alleged that “the people have lost confidence in the governors who abandoned them when it counted most”.

“ESN came to their rescue and will defend them until Biafra is fully restored where their security can be guaranteed.”
