babepink: This is why drivers are where they are today because of the mumuric acts of some drivers that think the way they act is the right way when the app owners never instructed them to do so.
Now you hear that its normal to make cash transfer when actually saw that they could use their card on the app since they would be paying from their bank account not cash at hand. Some drivers caused this or is it the app companies that asked you to take cash transfer during your training?
People have made it look mandatory for drivers to inform a rider you are starting a trip when the rider's app NOTIFIES them right from the moment you accepted a trip, arrived at their location(Uber), started a trip and arrived at their destination. So why the fuss about "you didn't tell me when you started the trip" when the app they have on their phone does that for them? Guy be calming down. The act might look stu.pid to you but to me it's not a big deal. Not everyone has the time to glue to their phone because they ordered a ride. Some may be in a hurry, some don't even care when you start the trip. Sometimes I forget to start the trip maybe like 500m into the trip before I'll remember and I'll start the trip. I had once forgot to start a trip almost half way the trip, the rider didn't ask if I had started it or not. Same way I had once mistakenly started the trip few minutes to PU rider still didn't know but I still had to inform the rider of the mistake for my conscience to be clear. So I don't think it's a big deal telling them. Good name is better than that feel a rider will have of you wanting to defraud them. I once gave a stranger a ride, rider doesn't know the place but I do. Rider was expecting trip to end around 6500 to 7500. Trip ended 4100 and rider was like wow! What happened? Nothing much, just that I took a shorter route without traffic. Rider gave 6000. You don't need to allow the attitude of some riders to change your personality. |

141samuel: i can't even take permission for starting a trip talk less making a call , any rider that ask me when did I start a trip my reply and my face will make rider keep quiet Guy it's wrong not to tell a rider before starting the trip cos they're paying for it except you forget to do so. I make sure I tell you am starting the trip immediately you sit in the car whether my engine is running or not. Sometimes I do when am about to move, yet some will complain I've not moved why am I starting the trip and my response is the trip starts immediately you sat in the car. |

Crvrider: I am trying hard to understand, you took permission from rider to answer your phone? What happened to your hands free? I always carry my earpiece along with me. Jeez! Guys abeg make una no crucify the guy joor, he did what he feels was okay for him. @Bammzie, the implication of your action is that the mentality of get permission from driver to make call will sink into her head going forward and other drivers will pay with their ratings for not doing so. You give courtesy to who deserve it and when you see or meet with such people you don't need to be told. You mean if I pick up those ill mannered boys or girls I'll be asking them "please can I make a call?" Anyways, all fine. |

donfortune48: Coming from international Airport and you know you will be making a U-turn back to the airport. Use the service lane immediately you come down from NACO bridge. (the bridge close to the toll gate). And maintain the service lane through Ajao estate bus stop down to 7/8 bus stop then go straight and climb the U-turn bridge.
If you forgot to follow the service lane from NACO and maintained the fast lane all the way from the airport, down to U-turn bridge. Don't climb the bridge from that little exit to the service lane just before the U-turn bridge. They'll arrest you if you do so.
Just go under the bridge and turn right to a hidden service lane that's just after the U-turn bridge and follow it back to 7/8 bus stop. Then enter the main service lane and come back to climb the bridge. Detailed This is well explained and understood. Thank bro |

141samuel: they arrested me about three weeks ago at that same place, thanks God for the father of the rider , he pays me back the 10k they collect from me. I can't thank him enough. But there is away you can still go and turn under the bridge but you can never know unless they explain to you because no any road signs there But why are they arresting people for making U turn? Is the bridge not meant for turning back towards airport? Please educate us and where else can one turn? |

donfortune48: How people deviate from the subject and argue another thing here is disheartening.
No one ever said that AC doesn't make a car consume more fuel; but this is what everyone seem to argue and defend now. Forgetting what brought about the argument.
Someone asked if increasing the speed/fan of the AC from low>mid>high>highest makes a car consume more fuel respectively. No one have given a clear explanation about this. But everyone seem to argue about what no one is actually arguing against. |

donfortune48: Lolzz.
I don't do these anymore. Unless there's no other alternative. She must collect it from her mama and give me. Worst thing she rate me low. Ironically, I don't mind my ratings anymore on Bolt. If it goes down, it mush surely come up. It can only fluctuate.
This is why I like Indriver. The low fixed fares are just the problem.
On Indrive. I drive at my own pace. With comfort and no fear of complaint that I'm driving slowly. I follow my choice route, regardless of how it's longer; once it helps me beat traffic. You dare not tell me the route I should follow. Unless you intend doing something on your choice route. I allow cars into my space without fear of rider's complaint of running late. And I still maintain good ratings.
Indrive actually gives me peace of mind from riders wahala. The only problem is the low fares and longer waiting time for a trip which most times push me to Bolt. That was how I pick this lady from idado to lekki. R. Please put on your AC Me. Please put on your face mask. R. I can't wear mask cos of my make up. Me. You need to put on your mask. R. So if I don't put on mask you won't put on the AC. Me. Yes R. Then continue. Me. Quiet and concentrate on driving. Trip ended and my rating dropped. Who cares? Can't risk my health because of yeye 1k In the same light other riders comply with the rules. If you refuse, I refer you to the user manual (bolt app), after all you saw it before questing the ride. |

kanuisagoat: That was the case with this particular one. This is what I do. Once I get a trip, I quickly take note of the destination if its not a place I'm familiar with then I Google it for clarity. I then put the destination on the map while on my way to PU. Before I even start your trip, I have taken my time to go through the map and seen the best available route.
This was the exact same thing I did today so I was actually on the best route. I'm sure like you said she has no better route in mind and that was why she couldn't respond when I asked her of the better route.
Why these things always happen with women is what I do not understand. Since I started driving on ehailing, I have never had any single issue with a man. I think there's need for a dedicated thread to discuss all the nasty thing these girls do. Maybe when different people blast them they might change. |

kala111: Honestly this Bolt of not charging for arrival wait time is a total bullshit. And most of these riders are just unapologetic as some of them do it deliberately and say after all they are paying you.
One slowpoke requested me yesterday evening at Ajose Adeogun. Her number was practically busy for more than 10mins of my arrival. When she eventually picked to let her know I've been calling and waiting, she was dumbfounded and asking me for what. When her brain eventually reset, she started pleading with me that she was only trying to put a colleague through on how to use the app. Madt gan |

Good morning car gurus, Last week I serviced my Camry 05 with Castrol oil 5w30 (picture attached). Since I serviced it I noticed the maintenance required light flashes and goes off but this morning I noticed it doesn't flash again rather just steady.
What could be the cause and possible solution as this has never happened before.
Please help I decided to just parked somewhere as I don't know what next to do.
