Business / Re: Local Content:time To Promote Made In Nigeria Agricultural Produce And Foodstuff by hipinnacle: 8:34am On Feb 05, 2016
Start preparing for the next planting season. The more we plant, the more we produce and export leftovers.

One business that will make sense this year is agribusiness if you can key to it early.
Business / Local Content:time To Promote Made In Nigeria Agricultural Produce And Foodstuff by hipinnacle: 1:51am On Feb 05, 2016
Over the years most especially since the sudden discovery of oil in Nigeria, the largest black nation in the world has found herself in a serious mess due to this black sector discovery. Nigeria which was a leading force among prominent countries and contemporaries in exporting made in Nigeria agricultural and processed commodities like cocoa, cashew, cotton, groundnut, Shea butter, colanut, ginger and many more is now threatened with economic crisis due to her negligence to sustain the agribusiness sector. Nigeria is now on the brick of falling apart economically which is seriously affecting the socio-economic, political and financial growth of the country.

Agribusiness industry is depleting fast and something urgent must be put in place to rescue this ugly situation. The oil sector cannot continue to solely fund the Nigeria economy and the yearly budget again. The oil market is bad most especially in developing countries like Nigeria due to the downturn in global crude oil price. International price for crude oil is no longer stable, falling rapidly from $117 per barrel in early 2015 to a comatose price of between $28 and $32 currently.

The price instability is causing serious hardship to citizens and putting the federal government in bad political shape. Hence, there is a holistic need to quickly avert this ugly situation by diversifying the country economy from monopolistic market of importing crude-oil to agribusiness driven economy which has once being the mainstay of Nigeria economy. At agromerchant, we are poised to review and deliver the agriculture sector by promoting local content and locally grown food and farm produce in the following strategic ways;

1. Stopping importation and increasing exportation- it is awful that Nigerians import virtually everything and dump to a nation that has huge raw materials and natural resources. It is funny how we have advanced to be importing matches and toothpick. We must no longer ruin this naturally blessed country of the world. We want to frontier exportation of Nigeria local made rice, charcoal, cocoa (one of the best in the world), Shea butter, vegetables, cashew nuts, cotton, spices and other agricultural produce we grow to other countries. Both international and local partners are welcome to form a strategic synergy with agromerchant to tap into the numerous agro-produce in Nigeria. We have much more to export.

2. Annex the full potential of local content and agricultural produce through ICT- Information and communication technology is a viable and virile tool to hastily position Nigeria in the world map to showcase her full agriculture and food potential. We have developed massive networks with rural, local and even new emerging farmers and agropreneurs to produce more so that we can have abundant to market and supply to users and consumers.

3. Opening and creating viable markets and supply chain technology through ecommerce- www.agromerchant.com has pledge her commitment to drive the agribusiness sector in an innovative way by creating an online shopping marketplace to sell, supply and deliver to buyers and shoppers at their doorstep various agricultural commodities from fresh farm food, sea foods, wood products, livestock, fresh and organically grown vegetable and fruits, hybrid seeds and seedlings to agrochemicals and organic fertilizers.
We are committed to this lofty cause and we are aligning our loyalty with the Nigeria government to take agro sector to the top notch. Local agro and food producers and farmers should work assiduously with agro processors, marketers, suppliers and haulage to creatively drive this sector and build a stronger network.

Nigeria is richly blessed with huge resources. Join your working hands and creative minds with us to build a working agricultural sector. Agromerchant create the agro and foodstuff market and deliver foodstuff, fresh farm produce and agro commodities.

Agriculture / Re: Why I Want To Quit Farming This Year And My Plan For 2016 by hipinnacle: 8:59pm On Jan 30, 2016
I have only b of d opinion that our major problem in this country is our attitude- self centeredness. Everybody is struggling it out on their own. If farmers come together to form associations, it is because of selfish interests. Parochial interest is d bane of Nigeria development. we all want to exploit one another

This same attitude is what we are experiencing in agric sector. no linkages btw d farmers n agro producers to the suppliers to d distributors. no ties. everybody is a farmer n a trainer n at the same time a marketer. Cognisance is not given to values n education again

At www.agromerchant.com,we designed this ecommerce to solve farmers challenge of marketing their goods but the problem has being that farmers are not even producing standards or not wanting to conform wt d rules. people are looking for easy way to enrich themselves. it wont work.

@Jasper, networking and believing ourselves is d way to go in Nigeria. a country that shy away frm building synergy wil not go far.

www.agromerchant.com has kickstarted the vision n we are already working towards looking at possibilities of building agro malls but my submission is one person cant do it. let us form a chain of networks n partner together esp. like minds like ours.

Career / How To Make 2016 Your Best Year Ever In Your Career And Business Goals by hipinnacle: 7:09pm On Jan 01, 2016
Have you been struggling of late to meet up with your career and business goals, visions, aspirations and projections?

Does it looks as if you are not getting and achieving your desired and well-mapped out plans?

Are you frustrated sticking with the plans and it seems your heart beat is rising above 120/80 blood pressure?

More sadly, you are feeling depressed and worried that others are getting ahead of you and getting more and better results than you. You looked perplexed than ever in year 2015 and you afraid that year 2016 might breed the same gloomy fate- if these are your thoughts and concerns, there is a possibility you are inbuilt to succeed.

Your fears and worries are normal but proactive and urgent with holistic steps need to be taken to avert extreme fears and being worn-out. The only antidote for you now is worry no more! And the only miracle and saving grace you have now is you are still alive to keep the hope alive.

Quickly, let me show you how to get out of your fear and the lion’s den of missing opportunities and build the vitality, intrinsic motivation, and strategic clarity (focus) you need to making your year 2016 superb and successful year ever since you have been born;

1. Get back to work- worrying and analyzing mistakes and failure is a waste of time and sickening

2. Singleness of clarity- This year, work on being focus and staying focus. Concentration and firm attention to opportunities will help to fly this year. Therefore, be clear about your vision, mission and goals. Develop and actualize one vision at a time.

3. Set your priorities right this time- don’t give for distractions and critics. Do the first thing first as quoted by Steven Convey.

4. Dump new year resolutions, rather, set life-time goals- steps you will take to eliminate smoking so as to improve your health in 3months is better than just saying in 2016, I will no longer smoke. Mere talking or writing is bullshit! Develop an action plan and run with it. Don’t do or write the same resolutions every year. Work on your life goals and purpose yearly.

5. Join a Mastermind groups- the dynamic thing to do this year is for to attend meetings of high-flyers. Map out plans and time for brainstorming sessions, idea incubating sessions and sharing experiences will help avoid stress, stay on the track and easily achieve your business and career goals. Please, get this from me to you; shun energy-draining and talkative friends no matter your emotional attachments with them. They are destiny killer unconsciously.

6. Be ready to fire- this season, be ready to e goal and action oriented to survive the storm of economic meltdown, recession and austerity.

7. Pray fervently upon your vision and goals- it is a lie that prayers don’t work. People that understand pray and work give testimonies every day. One thing prayer do mostly is it re-energizes you and get you refresh. With fervent prayers, you can’t just get stuck along your vision pursuits.

8. Be resilient and shun mediocrity at all cost- don’t ever think or attempt quitting your goals. The man that quits is not different from the man that kicks the bucket or throw-in the towel. Resiliency is not an outward or external strength but an inner and inward energy. This year, work harder and smarter. Develop friendship with people that will make you run rather than crawling.

9. Define what you are working for- lastly, to be the winner and champion you desire this year in your business and career goal pursuits, define your passion. Are working for money or fulfillment? Footballers are passionate to win at all cost- that is their goal- they focus on vigorous trainings, preparedness and gaining stamina. Money is and can only be a motivating factor. Get it right; working for money can bring worries and frustrations but when you do what you love and work to be happy, fulfilled, and impart others, money flows naturally to you. Money will now become a tool that it is designed to be. Don’t let your pursuit for money enslave you. Be warned!

Make it a goal in 2016 to read and digest blogs and forum like Nairaland that will enrich your life, cum career and business development. For more career and business opportunities gist, visit www.startandgrowrich.com.

Charcoal can be majorly found in iseyin, Saki and other interior part of Oyo state, Benue state and Kwara state of Nigeria. It is produced by burning wood products of different species. Mostly, the production is usually carried out in the core forest areas. After the burning processing, the charcoals are allowed to cool and they bag them in different grades and sizes according to industry specifications.

These grades can be finger charcoals, restaurant charcoal, dust or sweet-liked charcoal and the normal-sized processed type. To ensure good quality of charcoal, it must be ensured that some proper precautions and criteria are meant;
•Low moisture content, that is, moisture content must be below 6%. This indicates total dryness of charcoal.
• Woods must be thoroughly burnt to avoid unburnt wood hiding inside the charcoal already bagged.
• During loading, rains must be watched out for to avoid wet charcoa.
• Charcoal stones and dusts must be removed to ensure clean charcoal is obtained.
• Bagging of charcoal must be done according to specifications which can be done by scaling.
• Restaurant charcoals must be well processed than the normal charcoal.
• Close inspection and monitoring must be done to ascertain the required numbers of bags and tonnages. Likewise, monitoring and supervision ensure that quality products are loaded.
• After loading, it must be ensure that seal must be used to key the container or truck.
• Container number, seal number and truck plate numbers must be inputted into the receipt and the original copy must be given to the driver for proper processing and offloading of container at the port.
• Proper documentation and legal framework must be adhere strictly with.

Calculations of Tonnages;

Ensuring standards, 25 bags must be equal to one ton in range at 40kg per bag on scaling (standard scales). Therefore, to ensure 23 tonnes or 23,000kg and above per truck, minimum of 575 bags must be loaded.

Agriculture / Goat Business Booms: How To Start Goat Farming Business And Start Making Money by hipinnacle: 3:09pm On Sep 03, 2015
Goat business is a life-time money making opportunity if you understand the nitty-gritty and value additions to goat farming. You are sure to fast becoming a merchant in goat rearing, breeding, shearing, milking, fattening and meat production.

A quicker assertion is that goat milk is richer in nutrients than cow milk.
It is easy to raise goats than cows, fish or poultry farming. This is a fact! It might interest you now as you might be thinking; I do see them around, why are the owners’ not making cool money with their goat produce. Yes, this might be true. Goat is one animal hat love to be roaming around in the neighborhood and their owners do allow free ranching and grazing most especially in the rural settings. With this free ranching, you are sure you can only make few naira or dollars with our goat farming.
Rather, goat farming become a money making machine if you turn it to business. Building a business model around your startup is the surest bet to making millions. When you understand this fundamental concept, you will make it in business most especially farming or agribusiness. Farming is cool and agribusiness is cooler but needs insight and foresight plus managerial skills to handle such business well.

How to start your own Goat Farming in Five Days with Little Capital

• Know and understand the goat breed you want to raise. I will advise you to shun the local ones and go for the hybrid goats because you are going into commercial goat farming venture and not a hobby.
• Fix your initial costs and budgets. The most important cost is the initial cost, other cost remains minimal. Your initial costing might include purchasing the goats housing (building shelter for the goats), fencing, security and vaccination.
• Plan your feeding system. This important. You must be crazy to feed well the goose that produce the golden eggs or else you will lose the goose and the eggs outrightly.
• Maintenance is key in this business. Securing your goats from theft is the hardest in goat farming but proper fencing and close monitoring, you can beat that vice. Cleanliness the good book says is next to godliness, therefore, cleaning their house is essential.
• Start with two at least. A male and a female of the same breed is appropriate to start with.
• Lay the solid foundation for your cash flow and income generation through multiple stream of income. Goat farming is a business that has multiple stream of income generation within it. They include meat production, milking, fattening, breeding, and skinning. You can make money with any or all of these in at least six months with the right breed and feeding.

Keep your finger crossed as I will dabble into the details of starting goat farming business in a juicer way than your next door neighbor and bade poverty final bye. The money making is not in rearing goats, the real cash is in the bye-products, processing and other value chains or additions of goats.

Before I talk to you next, you can order for your hybrid goats- male and female or any of the two @ www.agromerchant.com marketplace to make your order of fast-producing goats. You are quite sure your goats will be supplied and delivered to you at your doorstep of farmyard. We don’t only sell to you, we also educate you and give you the right knowledge on how to make it big in goat farming business. Goat business is easy to start and grow rich. It is a norm that for anyone to make it at all in agriculture or farming, such a person must be a workaholic. One must look shattered and battered; sweat and work yourself out. This assertion sounded true so many decades or centuries ago, but it has been proven wrong by new age technology, innovation, creativity and smart information usage which has given birth to productive knowledge.

In order to make it big in agricultural industry, agriculture and farming must be viewed in the right perspective of seeing this noble profession as an enterprise, a business and a career. Initially, agriculture required arms but now, it requires less arm and much brain. Brain work must be put to use to get the desirable results.

The knowledge age has defined agribusiness as a round-able chains of productions (planting, sowing, milking, rearing and raising to harvesting), processing, packaging, branding, marketing and networking. These six processes demand strategic thinking, planning, brainstorming, teaming, positioning and action at the same time.

To accumulate profits and create wealth in agribusiness as in other businesses or professions, you must first change your style of approach to working. This brings me to my favorite explanation about WORK; Hard work Vs. Smart work. Being BUSY Vs. being PRODUCTIVE (PROACTIVE). This combination helps t have a beautiful picture and understanding on how you apply mental capacity and strategy to create a synergy, leadership, strategic team and direction on your business.

Arms make you work harder, while brain make you work smarter. A farmer that wait till the day of harvesting its farm produce before searching for buyers is working hard and not necessarily going to make tangible profits. In contrary, a farmer begins to work smart when he sharpens his mental skill and leverage recent technology to do most of his labor-intensive work on the farm while he has a well-comprehensive blueprints on stock-keeping, farm records, weather forecasts, climate change, weed control and insects’ control. He has also mapped out his marketing, sales and networking strategies before planting or rearing at all. I bet it with you, the difference is clear.

To live large as a farmer, agropreneur or agribusiness owner, you must pump innovation, creativity, strategic idea and tested knowledge into our business or you will continue to struggle using arm.

Traditional farming will make you to only concentrate on production while smart and integrated farming will ensure you produce, process, brand, package, market and network your products or services beyond your immediate or limited reach.

To achieve this, you must connect your products with the people you cannot ordinarily reach. That is why a comprehensive and all-inclusive agro online portal initiative was birthed. Our online agro-marketplace; www.agromerchant.com will help you spread it, brand it and sell it to millions of people without you or them living your homes or locations. Buying and selling, trading and transaction couldn’t have being easier if brains have not be put to work.

Get easy access to farm produce, locally processed foods, agro-products, agro-chemicals, hybrid seeds, fertilizers, machines, agro-industries brands and foodstuffs on our one-stop and easily navigated online store; www.agromerchant.com- our #1 agro-marketplace that makes shopping, transaction and doorstep delivery easiest.

Agriculture / An Integrated And Modified Marketplace For All Agricultural Commodities by hipinnacle: 1:40am On Jul 30, 2015
To God be the glory, on the 25th July, 2015, we unveiled an online marketplace; www.agromechant.com- #1 Nigeria agro-marketplace. People have started placing orders only in packs and minimum orders of some products like ofada rice, puupuru, coconuts, watermelon, cucumber, livestock and bulk orders for now. You can also place retail order. Also, place bulk order or wholesale by filing the bulk supply order form on the home page. I totally agree with the cliché that said; a business not pumped with innovations and creativity will soon die. Agricultural has been put to the backlog not because it is not profitable but it is seen as a poor man’s job and not a worthwhile profession.

Over the years, people celebrate and pour encomiums on some professions above the others mainly because they were seen as foreign jobs-they call them white collar jobs while the local expertise practicing farming were relegated. Agriculture was not referred to as white collar jobs, it is viewed as dirty And for the shattered but ironically, it is the sole supplier of the food we eat, raw materials for shelter, clothing, medicine, drinks, therapies and beauty coy, and more than 70% of everything we utilize on earth, still it is seen as a poor man business. Fallacy!

Call agriculture anything; blue-chips, poor man profession or dirty, it has come to stay and salvage the world of hunger, insecurity, unclothedness and unemployment. To me it is a pure applied natural science and epitomized with dignity.
Invariably, over the years, what could have happen to the only venture that feeds man and allow other profession and services to thrive? The answer is not farfetched and has been discovered; “Traditional way of practicing Agriculture”. Everything about agriculture, planting, harvesting, storage, processing, packaging, and marketing has been traditional and now it is archaic and obsolete.

The practices our forefathers were used to are still invoke and is still in use by our rural farmers. Rural farmers still use colanut leaf to wrap plantain and plantain leaf to wrap colanut for ripening and storage. Generally, they still see agriculture has farming and a developmental cum sustenance venture. It has gone beyond that but thanks to them for sustaining the indigenous knowledge. There is always rooms for improvement and modifications. Is it not paradoxical how Nigeria consumers are living on waters but very thirsty? A solution is fast-approaching!

Today technology has improved a lot of things in which agriculture is no exception. Technology has changed the way the world see and do things including our daily transactions and relationship.
Though Africa is still lagging behind in some of this technological advancement but a lot of technological transformation is surfacing and we have begun to embrace these initiatives, one of them is selling and buying on the internet without necessarily seeing the people involved.

Agriculture is now an agribusiness with massive value additions and chains. Productions and processing are taking shape gradually in Nigeria and Africa but the marketing structure for agricultural produce and inputs is still poor and abrasive. This singular problem which is giving farmers and new emerging agropreneurs nightmares birthed a new and an integrated marketplace; Agromerchant Online Agro-marketplace. It is designed on the spatial space and internet cloud with a Url; www.agromerchant.com- Nigeria first comprehensive one-stop agro-marketplace.

War is imminent as u said but my happiness is those that staired it up will recieve the first hit, and for me the judiciary will be held responsible. The only solution is those juglling for power through radical means should stop it.

we need to say no to anything that will jeopardize d peace of Nigeria. War is a nt a respecter of ordinary people most esp. people dat are not in Christ can pay dearly for it.
Politics / Our Attitude Towards “change And Continuity” Call For Caution by hipinnacle: 10:54am On Feb 10, 2015
If some Nigerians still think it will be an easy ride for the opposition to win and stroll to power, such people need to question their thought. It sounds shallow that some people will argue that a party that have clung to power for sixteen years will open their eyes and see themselves losing like that. For PDP, it is a time to fight back. Wining an election in Nigeria by the top echelon opposition, APC is like Sudan falling apart.

I shivered and wondered why in a country glazed with millions of intellectuals, agile youths, scholars, reputable elders and men of God find it difficult to see that problem is looming fast and wahala is approaching and they are not fast-tracking solutions now when the problems are still within the reach of solutions. Is it until the drum of war is palpitated that we will rise up? “I no want war abeg”. If you enjoy war, relocate to Somalia, Syria or Sudan…..
Get up Nigerians; spare the youth, save your children from becoming fatherless and orphans early. Do something fast our religious leaders. We should start seeing and beholding the thick clouding in the sky. The dark clouds are gathering and whispering signs of impediments.

My Fear;

I have a feeling that things are not just right. Can’t we sense that the prophet prophecies for Nigeria and the coming elections have started gathering momentum? First, it was there won’t be an election in year 2015 and second, it was if it eventually hold in year 2015, civil war looms; Chai!

Nigerians joke with everything but not war. Election dates were postponed and again rumors of changing the INEC boss is emerging. I won’t be surprised to see him not conducting the election; you know in Nigeria, every rumor carries an iota of truth and reality.

Our attitudes towards change and continuity call for caution. He who has ears let him hear.

If we discern early enough, we might as well save a nation called Nigeria. Stop allowing your selfish ambition and present wealth to make you gnash your teeth forever. Even if you have all the money to travel abroad when the unexpected happen in Nigeria, you don’t have all the money to take all your families with you. Truly, you will be spare but your household will be victims.

Once again, let us all embrace peace. Our judiciary or electioneering might have compromised, yet, I have always believed since my student unionism days that some initial gragra and finalizing it with robust and fact-laced dialogue can bring remedy.

TINUBU: ''President GEJ, why are you so panicking with your supporters?

GEJ: ''Jagaban, Buhari like to put criminals in jail ''

TINUBU: ''ok, are you a criminal''?

GEJ: ''No, stealing is not corruption

TINUBU: ''so, why are you panicking since you believe stealing is not corruption''

GEJ: ''hmmm, i know what i know, if i lose this election, i'm certainly going to jail''

TINUBU: ''goodluck, i'll come visit you in Otueke probably Christmas period'

Nigerians must wake up now
