Politics / Senate Is Taking Giant Step To End ASUU Strike by hipinnacle: 12:28pm On Oct 23, 2013
Live on NTA, the senate are seriously deliberating on how the face-off between the FG and ASUU can end without any further delay. so far, the debate is robust and logic. Even a senator from Adamawa just said that d 1.3trillion naira ASUU is asking for is meagre and FG should suspend sure-P and divert the money to pay the money. it is on live.

Politics / PDP And Her Unecessary Jamboree -special National Onvention 2013 by hipinnacle: 10:27pm On Aug 31, 2013
the self acclaimed largest party in Africa is @ it again. PDP has been known to love to display a wagon of bullshit just to distract Nigerians from her core debacles. some weeks back, PDP and PEJ hosted an award for some governors, and GEJ for making women got positions. Just today, PDP started another jamboree with her special national convention.

Only God knows how much would av bn wasted on this convention that has kicked off since morning till now just to fill in 17 positions in which like 13 0f it are unopposed. Nigeria leaders got to be serious- is this what we call internal democracy even while their house are on fire and divided.

PDP, washing ur mess in public won't help matters. all is not well with ur party and u are partying.

I just hope Nigeria will not be sucked dry with all these unnecessary remarks from our politicians. What is becoming media reportage and daily comments generated would soon degenerate to unbearable issues if care is not taken in this country. Manifesto or no Manifesto, we want leaders and followers that are ready for change.

let us test our faith in new water, instead of continuing drowning in the old water. we should not get concern whom they are shouting now for president in APC or PDP. Rather, we should get ourselves concern in merging our voice and declare our stand on what and who we want. IT is possible....

Politics / What Nigeria Politicians Need To Do Urgently To Rescue Nigeria Polity & Economy by hipinnacle: 2:22pm On Aug 21, 2013
I have observed Nigeria with great nostalgia over the years and have to deduce that the only reason Nigeria is moving slowly and traveling the path of complacency is that the country is doing the same thing the same way. We know what this means; such attitude is against the principle of nature and it can’t just work. You don’t get to move at a faster pace if we just stick with the old tradition of doing things.

Nigeria will continue to struggle and experience retardation until the present crops of politicians step down to give room for new ideas, visions, propellers, and people-oriented leaders.

I don’t blame these politicians for anything; you thought you can deliver Nigeria state from shambles but it is a sham and it won’t just work with the mindset you brought in. you can’t give what you don’t have! Likewise, a tiring footballer will no longer deliver the expected goals no matter how he tries to score. Consistent fatigue and tinkering are the nature of an old player.

Leadership is all about purpose, preparation and perception. You don’t get into it accidentally or else you will fumble. You don’t expect wonders from an ill-prepared man, the caveat is; if he manages to get to the top, his redundancy will expose his weakness.

It is a big shame for some people in this country to still be hoping that something tangible can be achieved with these no ideology-driven set of politicians ruling us. If you try pouring a new wine in an old bottle, one can’t get a new taste because the rottenness of the old bottle will surely stain the sweetness of the wine.

It is madness if everybody jostles for political positions. Politics shouldn’t be for all. It should only be entrusted in the hands of men of impeccable characters with a liberal heart patting for men emancipation. It must be for people that are forthright in their dealings with people, with great foresight and fortified to receive consistent bashing, face numerous challenges and wither the storms.

We should not continue fooling ourselves; Nigeria is straying and drowning. We are too passive in this part of the world. I just hope it won’t be too late before we take a stand and elect worthwhile leaders with great vision and high integrity.

This is a wake-up call to all the old wagons; you have done your bit, time to step aside for new blood to set the stage for proactivity. You have tried at least you have managed Nigeria unity since 1960 but it is time to take a bow and quit the stage for new minds.

To Nigerians; we don’t need crowd to drive this imminent change; we only need few committed and passionate leaders that understand the Nigeria problems and are ever ready to proffer solutions.

Disclaimer: APC Team Nigeria is not driven with visionless minds but will do everything to propose and initiate change.

Politics / Obasanjo Should Please Stop Bluffing And Should Quit The Stage For The Youth by hipinnacle: 2:19pm On Aug 18, 2013
The former president, Olusegun Obasanjo is at it again. Just like the normal him, vocal, thick and loquacious. You hardly see the ex-president given room for decorum but tantrum. His usual appearance is to speak, criticize, castigate and pass over blames on others especially his one times loyalists.

What is therefore news is not new considering the stylish ways he whips the past and failing leaders of Nigeria with hardy words but what is however disturbing this time is that he bluffs with his most recent comment concerning the young politicians.

To be frank, president Obasanjo has always been a good observer of event and he always tries to passes judgments favorably without looking at anybody face when he feels something is wrong and need urgent attention but he got it all wrong most of the time? Why? Simple! He is part and a major player in the failing system. Whatsoever hardship Nigeria is facing today is as a result of the handiwork of past leaders and followership.

How can a man that God had given the opportunity to rule a country with a magnitude number of over 100 million for i6years as a head of state and president respectively. God used him to prove to mankind that he can enthrone an ordinary person, a prisoner and with a lesser education without the opinion of any man. This ought to have made him the most celebrated not only in Africa but also in the black race but he jeopardized the great chances he had to overturn the menace of every citizens of Nigeria.

Aremu Obasanjo ought to have proven the critics wrong that Nigeria state can work and prosper considering his intelligence, the right people and platform he had but he plays to the gallery of the critics’ big time.

He got it wrong by shifting the blames of a failing nation on the younger generations and crops of politicians. Even if he got it right In the names he mentioned like Atiku, Igbinador, speaker Bankole, Ibori and the likes to have being a disappointment to the young generation when given the chance to rule.

Does that mean millions of youth spread across the length and width of Nigeria are all corrupt, arrogant and cruel cum inexperience?

And I dare to say that if this young Nigerians are corrupt and fall cheaply for wanton and mundane cum materialistic things, are they not following the footsteps of their forefront leaders and fathers (which the yoruba refers to the ASIWAJUS’). Or should a thief blame another thief for stealing more than him. What moral operandi or justification is this?

It is morally insane for a corrupt father to call his children cheaters. It is genetically proven that a child will take some of the traits of his parents no matter what or else the children will be referred to as bastards.

8 years of meddling with corruptions, bribery, ineptitude and no success to show but only to rigmarole around the same circle just doing little and the same thing Invariably.

If anybody wants to castigate the youth, shouldn’t it be men of unwavering character? Yes! I mean unwavering; single-hearted, always saying what is the truth, right and full of morals. We the youth distaste the attitude of our old politicians. The way they are accruing wealth to themselves as if they will never die again is worrisome.

Majority of Nigeria youths are descent, purpose-driven, and passionate about change. It is crucial for the old politicians to mend their ways and lay good examples. Even if the youth make mistakes, it is permitted, for we can only become better, stronger and more experienced from our mistakes. The youths are the strength and pillar of any nation, it is therefore wrong for anybody to demean them and want to strip them off their leadership right. Leadership is not a birthright, this old ones should quit the stage and give younger ones ample chances.

Do you want anybody to toy with your right. I doubt you don’t want such. It is time to stand for your right and right the wrong by embracing change. Today, like www.facebook.com/APCTeamNigeria to join a formidable voice that is creating a platform for change in Nigeria.

It is quite disdaining and appalling that Nigeria keeps moving in a 360 circle and continues to rigmarole solving the same problem over and over again. What is new? Rebuilding 18th century roads and rails, constructing only 6 airports with all the money the government is generating from taxes and sales of crude oil every day.
It is even more baffling the way some nitwit will come to splash lies as if they are born to lie. The other day, some of them posted here that Lagos-ore road have been rehabilitated. Just few days ago, I passed through that road to and fro. Nothing changed, keep deteriorating. What actually has changed since 1999? Just to do the same project in different way, another government with the same set of people and direction changing party that is favorable per time to deceive people, only to be siphoning money that belongs to all to their pocket. Something is wrong and it is LEADERSHIP. SIMPLE!

Few people start change and we can make it happen or else we continue to talk and lament over and over again.

THE CREED OF CHANGE & ACTION
Folks, don't hesitate to be a change agent... Nigeria was not this bad some 20years ago. don't assume it will be better when you don't take a drastic step. Let me mind my own business syndrome and attitude we have imbibed into our culture is becoming worrisome & things are getting out of hand.

The parlous state of our infrastructure beckons for concern. There is virtually no aspect of our lives that has not been affected. Continue staring will not solve the innumerable problems, taking action will do. How do will do that? We need a coordinated platform that is driven with passion and futuristic ideas.

A platform that the people themselves will drive, inspire and salvage the nation from the rampaging locusts.

Our cardinal point is simple; build a strong voice and go to choose who will desire to be our leader. Thinking it won’t be possible. Okay! Just wait as wonders will be unravel in the shortest time possible.

Every nation that has experienced change don’t require multitude, it takes courageous YOU to initiate the needed change.

Let me initiate and facilitate a strong voice for the Nigerians that are crying every night on their sleeping mattress, begging for help in a country that one man will cart away billions and throw out peanut to Nigerians (as if they are beggars) as if those money are his entitlement.

Let me ask what has really changed? ASUU on strike 3 years ago; after dillydallying, they went back to the class-room. Again, they are back on work stoppage protesting for what they believe is their right. What do we do at home- lamentations as usual? The same road projects past government constructed are still the one undergoing construction today. Not to mention uncountable policies that has no dignified respect for human sense of reasoning.

Obasanjo regime, foreign debts were cleared; now, we are still in debt both foreign and domestic. They speak of agricultural transformation as if we are celebrating basal. Let the minister of agric. Prove me wrong in one area food price has not sky-rocketed. Oh! We are saving for the future even if hunger kills the ones living in the present. Rubbish! Do you keep money at home when there is no food and your children are dying of hunger and thirst?

TIME TO SPEAK AND BUILD A POLITICAL SYNERGY TO ENATE PARADIGM SHIFT

I can no longer withstand the agony and unnecessary hardship my fellow country men and women most especially the youth are facing in the hands of tyranny and self-centred rulers that has no iota of care for her people but punt, no morals for human liberation in them.

Though, am not yet sure about the sincerity of this new party call APC till we glance at their manifesto but I am sure that Nigeria youths both single and married can create, design and foster ideas that will be an under-laying concrete and prejudice for any serious, people-oriented and leadership-centred party to follow.

We can no longer put our faith and future any longer in the hands of unscrupulous politicians that have refused to respect human equality, lower their ears to the yearning of common men which constitute 79%.

Politicians shouldn’t be the ones deciding our direction, we as citizens should be the change agents; dictate what we want. They ought to serve us and not the other way round. It is time for us to develop a voice and stop criticizing (which has been our nature), create a blueprint that will favour us and marshal the right people to execute the blueprints. Simple!

It is only in a nation as big as Nigeria that hunger has become a fashion, unemployment has become a new model that our government toil with and even the governors of some state are used to say it is an occurrence happening all over the world as if we are cursed not to take a lead in any positive change except negative events.

Permit to spill my holy anger on all our fellow countrymen that have decided to sell their rights to the hands of politicians for pennies. May I ask of what right is a man that becomes filthily rich overnight after joining politics over the man that cued longer hours under inauspicious sun to vote for him?

Are they not having the same right to the money and resources of the land? I dare say if corruption has become our birth right and runs in our blood, then let us create a platform in Nigeria for everybody to be entitled to corruption. It is no man birth right, rather, all and sundry’s right.

How long shall we continue in this madness of simple arithmetic that few elements of distractions have now turned to become complicated? We Nigerians are so fond of criticizing even the most mundane things that we shy away from our sole responsibilities-fixing the system. What a charade; many talkers, no actors……

When has right turn out to become privilege on the unclean lips of our so called leaders that have now shifted the blame of unemployment on the graduates themselves- telling them to go and acquire skills and become self-employed as if going to school has become a playing ground where ‘skilless’ tutelage is learnt. Being a graduate has become an unpardonable crime and graduates themselves have become desperately miserable to worship at the feet of unworthy traitors.

We can’t just continue to wag and starred at our debacles and unwarranted dilemma as if we are put under a siege.

Before you start opening your mouth wider to condemn, thinking maybe another frustrated Nigerian has let loose; may I tell you that it is only a foolish dreamer that will hide underneath the wrapper of mirage and bemoaning ‘all will be well’ and continue to stand aloof lamenting his disparaging conditions and takes no reasonable steps. I don’t blame such creature! Who say all will not be well, it shall surely be well. But we must drive the change and be an agent to stir the polity to cause the paradigm shift. This is a biblical and Quran principle.

Nigeria is at a standstill and many people shy away from it and pretend as if nothing is happening. If your fellow man is being killed in the northern part, the unconcerned southerners will be happy that it can only happen in the north. If kidnapping is ravaging the southern part, the westerner will not bother condemn it but rather rage that they dare not come to the west. Now the country is in mess and every day is becoming a shadow of itself.

I don’t care attitude has replaced the cliché; one for all, all for one. Governance is everybody responsibility. If we all can’t find ourselves occupying political positions, then the occupiers should be accountable for our wealth in their custody or else, we have the fullest right to ask. At least nobody can say he pre-determines his birth to Nigeria in the first place. We were all born equal; it is madness to prove you are smarter than others just because many decided to keep shut to allow peace to reign.

Before you start throwing blames on me as expected from some folks due to the fact that it has become our culture to fight ourselves, take your time to digest the notes and comprehend first. Understanding is what we need….

It is time 4 change!

As Nigerians, I don't think we should throwing e-punches at ourselves over non-issues that will all politics. I believe d only antidote to poor performance and corruption of the govt. is for people to do everything possible to make govt. sit down. Those that are abusing Jonathan or his cabinet are not totally wrong neither are they haters nor anti-govt. but Nigeria govt. need push and fore to compel them to work.

we should learn that those abusing Jonathan and those praising Him are helping the polity by putting them on their toes so that they go and sleep and also by encouraging them to do more.

We must know it is not about JONATHAN, IT IS ABOUT US AND we will all live to enjoy it.
